Waypark ski slope. Ski complex “Kurkino. Ski slopes in Kurkino

Sports complex"Kurkino" is one of the sites of the "Russian Ski School Stolitsa" - school Olympic reserve, established by decree of the Moscow Government. Hence the peculiarity of “Kurkino”: they mainly engage in winter sports children, and in comparison with the hours reserved for their training, very little time is allocated for free skating (on weekdays only 1.5 hours in the evening).

The complex is part of the territory of a natural park, located on a natural slope in the valley of the Skhodnya River, Moscow district of Kurkino (North-Western administrative District). The closest ski resort to it is the ski slope of the WayPark shopping center in Putilkovo, just 5 km away.

The Moscow ski school “Stolitsa” was founded in 2003, and now operates in several areas: alpine skiing, snowboarding, freestyle, ski jumping (skis), Nordic combined, “deaf sports”.

In addition to the Kurkino Sports Complex, the following ski centers are managed by the Russian Ski School Stolitsa:

  • “Novo-Peredelkino” (the largest; alpine skiing, snowboarding, freestyle);
  • “Sevastopolsky Prospekt” (universal slopes, Bitsevsky Park area);
  • “Northern Butovo” (mainly for teaching children, only 1 route);
  • “Sparrow Hills” (under reconstruction, previously a training slope and a venue for Russian and international competitions).
