Gymnastics for the brain and body. Brain gymnastics is an exercise for the mind. We take with our right hand by the left shoulder in the middle

Previously, it was believed that the brain is actively developing only in children and nerve cells are not restored, but this is far from the case. Our brains retain an amazing ability to learn and develop throughout our lives.

As it turns out, our ability to learn, grow, and other neurological functions are closely related to the number of communication channels that are built between nerve cells in different parts of our brain (called "neuroconduction"), and the dynamic, continuous reconstruction of these "neural pathways" just develop our brain.

In fact, a healthy brain retains potent potential for neuroconductivity and neuroplasticity throughout our lives, while decreased mental capacity and dementia are associated with a progressive loss of these two phenomena.

There are 2 natural phenomena that can support brain activity and enhance the processes of interaction of the connecting channels - these are movement and sleep. But there are also special forms of brain exercise that can also help keep your brain productive for a long time, the so-called brain gymnastics - Neurobics.

Neurobics - gymnastics for the brain

Neurobics are exercises that use a combination of your physical organs (sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing) and emotional senses to create “non-ordinary” experiences and trigger natural connections (also known as “associations”) between nerve cells in different parts of your brain.

These “associations” (eg name and face, smell and food, and so on) are the building blocks of memory and the foundation of our learning and stimulation of this process. These exercises help us grow stronger, stronger, and more efficient brains that are more resistant to cognitive decline and other effects associated with aging.

The scientific basis of neurobics is explained more fully, and we will consider the basic principles of neurobics.

Basic Principles of Neurobics Exercise

1. Exercise neuroscience triggers the brain cells to produce their own natural nutrients

These exercises stimulate patterns of neural activity between nerve cells in different regions of the brain, while stimulating the nerve cells to produce natural nutrients in the brain (called neutrophins), which greatly increase the size and complexity of nerve cell connections, and make the surrounding cells stronger and fuller. resistant to aging.

In fact, these are exercises, as a result of which the brain fertilizes itself, isn't that great!

2. Exercises in neuroscience associate different parts of the brain with each other

Unexpected life events create strong connections between different parts of the brain, especially if new experience accompanied by emotions.

For example, let's say someone gives you a rose. Your visual system recognizes that it is a rose, and if this is all that was, then over time this event will be erased from memory.

But if this rose scent was accompanied by soft lighting from candles and wonderful music, and at this time you unexpectedly prick your finger with one of its thorns. Voila, you just activated a much larger range of feelings (including emotional) and created much stronger associations, which means that they are more deeply implanted in the nervous system and your memory, which will remember this event fondly for years to come.

3. Our sense of smell is the only conductor that has direct connections to the emotional center of our brain.

Currently, smell plays a diminished role in our Everyday life but associations based on smells form quickly and persist for a very long time. Remember your first favorite perfume? Or when did you first smell a living tree? Smell associations can be very powerful and evoke an abundance of memories due to the fact that they directly refer to emotional centers in the brain.

4. The brain loves new things

The brain fires more strongly when it is subject to novelty (and preferably versatile), while familiar functions can cause brain necrosis.

To illustrate this, sign with your normal dominant hand. You can do this automatically, it is not too difficult, and there is relatively little neural activity.

Now try to sign with your non-dominant hand. Obviously, this is a little more complicated, and if you are connected to the machine, it will detect brain activity. This task will show much higher neural activity than if you were using your dominant hand. And you can probably guess what would be going on in your brain if you were standing in the bank trying to cash a check using your non-dominant hand, while the bank manager is wary of looking at you.

The bottom line is your brain gets much best workout when he is exposed to a new, unexpected sensory experience, and is much less activated in a normal setting.

7 Neurobics Exercises

These exercises help keep your brain faster and more flexible, and increase its ability to take on any mental challenge, including memory work, task completion, and creative problem solving.

There's a lot simple ways diversify your daily work to stimulate your brain.

1. Brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand (including opening and applying toothpaste).
This exercise can trigger impulses on the opposite side of the brain, which you would not normally use, by rapidly expanding connections in the parts of the brain that control these movements.

2. Read the book out loud with your partner, alternating the roles of reader and listener.
Reading aloud and listening to reading use different neural circuits than when we read silently, and our brains are much more actively involved in the process. It can also improve your relationships!

3. Quiet and noisy meal
Try turning off the TV, music, and other entertainment while you eat, and just sit down and talk to each other. It's great to stay in touch with each other, and this social experience is a very powerful "brain builder".

Then mix it. Make one meal a week so that all distractions are still off and you eat in silence, no communication. Pay close attention to the taste and texture of your food in a relaxed atmosphere, and then share your thoughts as soon as the meal is over. Yes, and don't always sit in the same chairs while eating!

4. Use a different route
Whether it's your way to work, or walking your dog, or wherever you go for a run, change it to get different types, perspective and scenery, it will stimulate your brain.

5. Diversify your weekend
If you rarely bike, try exploring your area with a bike. Change the scenario of your leisure time, go to places that you usually don't go to or have wanted to go for a long time. It's all about using your imagination to stimulate your brain in new ways.

6. Play games
Games are great stimulants of the senses. It can be a child's play, such as a charade, or it can be more adult games, for example, trying to identify a set of wines by smell and taste. Either way, make it fun - it's good for the brain.

7. Make love, otherwise
Sex can be great aerobic exercise but it is also good gymnastics for the brain. An introduction to the state of awe can be very interesting. Perhaps it's rose petals on the bed, a sensual massage, some lovely aromatic oils, or making love under the stars. Hope you can come up with many other great ideas for intimacy, and remember - this is good for your brain!

Gymnastics for the mind

All parents would like to see their baby attentive, with a good memory, logic, ingenuity. There is a separate science that is devoted to the development and improvement of the work of mental processes - this is kinesiology

Kinesiology (from Greek - the science of movement). It has existed for 2000 years and is used all over the world. Kinesiological exercises were used by Aristotle and Hippocrates.

Children with speech impairments have problems with motor skills, coordination of movements, and are poorly oriented in space. All this affects the overall physical development and can lead to physical inactivity. Kinesiology helps to eliminate movement disorders.

Kinesiology represents the correction of not only speech disorders, but also the personality of children in general. This allows us to talk about an original way of improving the health of children.

For the development of intelligence, it is necessary to develop interaction between the hemispheres. Taking this into account, it can be assumed that the development of intelligence and logical thinking in children may be distorted due to a violation of the interhemispheric transmission of information. It is special kinesiological exercises that are fully capable of coping with this task.

What do sets of exercises include?

Stretching, breathing exercises, eye movement exercises, body exercises, developmental exercises fine motor skills, relaxation exercises.

Stretch marks normalize hypertonicity (uncontrolled excessive muscle tension) and hypotonia (uncontrolled muscle flaccidity).

"Wood". Starting position - squatting. Hide your head in your knees, wrap your arms around them. Imagine that you are a seed that gradually sprouts and turns into a tree. Slowly rise to your feet, then straighten your torso, stretch your arms up. Then tense your body and stretch. The wind has blown - you are swinging like a tree.

Breathing exercises improve the rhythm of the body, develop self-control and volition.

Blow out the candle“The child imagines that there are 5 candles in front of him. He needs to first blow out one candle with a large stream of air, then distribute the same volume of air into 5 equal parts in order to blow out everything.

Head shaking“Starting position: sitting or standing, straighten your shoulders, lower your head forward and close your eyes. Then the child begins to shake his head in different directions and breathe as deeply as he can.

Breathing through the nose”The exercise is that the children breathe with only one nostril. In this case, it is important to correctly position the fingers: the right nostril closes with the right thumb, left - with the little finger of the left hand. The rest of the fingers are always pointing up. It is important to breathe deeply and slowly.

Eye movement exercises allow you to expand the field of vision, improve perception. Unidirectional and multidirectional movements of the eyes and tongue develop interhemispheric interaction and increase the energization of the body.

1. "Eyes" In order not to lose vigilance,

You need to rotate your eyes.

Rotate the eyes in a circle for 2-3 seconds. 6 times

2. "Eyes" Sharper eyes so that they look

We'll crush them as soon as possible.

Massage the upper and lower eyelids without closing your eyes. 1 minute

3. "Eyes" Let's draw a big circle

And we will examine everything around.

With eyes and extended tongue, make joint movements, rotating them in a circle (from side to side).

4. "Eyes" To become keen-sighted for us.

You need to press on the eyes.

With three fingers of each hand, it is easy to press the upper eyelid of the corresponding eye and hold for 1-3 seconds.

5. "Eyes" Eyes to the left, eyes to the right,

Up and down, and all over again!

Raise your eyes up, down your eyes, turn your eyes in right side, turn your eyes to the left.

6. "Eyes" Quickly - quickly blink

Then give your eyes a rest.

Blink quickly for 1-2 seconds.

7. "Eyes" You need to open your eyes

A miracle so as not to miss.

Open and close your eyes wide at intervals of 30 seconds.

Body Exercise

Exercise "Ear - nose" With the left hand we grab the tip of the nose, and with the right hand, the opposite ear, i.e. left. Release your ear and nose at the same time, clap your hands, change the position of your hands “exactly the opposite”.

Exercise "Mill" The arm and the opposite leg rotate in a circular motion first forward, then backward, simultaneously with the rotation of the eyes to the right, left, up, down. Lead time is 1-2 minutes. Breathing is arbitrary.

Exercises for the development of fine motor skills

Exercise "Fist-rib-palm". The child is shown three positions of the hand on the plane of the table, successively replacing each other. Palm on a plane, palm clenched into a fist, palm edge on the plane of the table, straightened palm on the plane of the table. The child performs the test together with the teacher, then from memory for 8-10 repetitions of the motor program. The sample is performed first right hand, then - with the left, then - with both hands together. When mastering the program or having difficulties in implementation, the teacher invites the child to help himself with commands ("fist-rib-palm"), pronounced aloud or silently.

Exercise "Lezginka". Fold your left hand thumb set aside, turn your fist with your fingers towards you. With your right hand, with a straight palm in a horizontal position, touch the little finger with your left. After that, simultaneously change the position of the right and left hands for 6-8 position changes. Achieve a high rate of change of position.

Relaxation exercises promote relaxation, relieve stress.

Draw with your fingers on the backs of each other the sun with rays.

Warm rays

Warmed her whole

From distant forests

The breeze is flying.

From the little cloud baby

The rain is drizzling.

The sky darkened, (We represent frequent heavy rain.)

The cloud has grown

From a wide watering can

The earth was watered.

Oh so good (A stream is streaming down the back.)

It's been a day!

Here is the merry babbling

Clean trickle.

The sun is shining again, (The sun has straightened its rays. palms.)

The back warms us

Laughs affectionately

People and flowers.

"Apples in the garden" The child imagines that he is in the garden and is trying to pick a beautiful apple. To do this, he stretches out his arms as much as possible when he “tears” the apple, takes a sharp breath and, bending down to the floor, puts the apple in the basket. Use your hands in turn, then together.

Relaxation Kinesiology Exercises:

"Cams" Bend your thumbs inward, clench your fist. As the baby breathes in, the fists should gradually be compressed to their maximum. When exhaling, gradually unclench your palm (up to 10 times).

"Ice and Fire" The presenter commands: “Fire!”, The children are actively performing various movements... During the command “Ice!”, The child freezes, strongly straining all his muscles. Repeat up to 8 times.

Kinesiologistscheskaya tale "Two kittens"

(way of organizing children - sitting at tables)

Once upon a time there was a white, fluffy kitten named Snowball (children show the right fist).

He loved to walk in his garden ( performing the exercise "Cat" with the words: "Fist-palm, this is how the cat walks").

Tall trees grew in the garden ( hands up, spread fingers to the sides) and low shrubs (hands are on the table, fingers are spread apart).

And then one day, Snowball came out of his house, take a walk ( doing the exercise "Cat" with the right hand with the words: "Fist-palm, this is how the cat walks") and saw that a black kitten was running in the clearing ( execution of exercise. "Cat" left hand with the words).

He quickly rushed to him to meet ( execution of exercise. "Cat" at a fast pace).

The kitten's name was Ugolyok. They became friends and began to run after each other, in a race ( execution of exercise. "Cat" with a simultaneous change of position).

And then Snowball found a ring on the grass (Exercise "Ring": alternately, connecting the thumb in a ring with the next, with the words: "One, two, three, four, five - we will have fun trying on the ring!"), he began to try it on his right foot, and then on his left, but the ring turned out to be too big for him.

Then Ugolyok began to try it on ( Exercise “Ring”: we make a ring from the thumb and forefinger of the right hand and start stringing it, without opening the fingers on each finger of the left hand with the words: “Little finger, ring, middle, forefinger, thumb - oh, oh, oh!»).

And then the ring fell and rolled along the path - the kittens followed him (exercise "Cat").

And the path led them to the pond, on which the frog was sitting and crying loudly, because she was sad alone.

The kittens decided to cheer her up and showed her interesting game (ex. "Okay-pancakes": the right hand is palm down, and the left hand is palm up; simultaneous change of position with the words: "We played okay - we were frying pancakes, so we will fry, turn around and start playing again"). But the frog did not become more cheerful, then the kittens invited her to dance ( ex. "Lezginka": fold your left hand into a fist, put your thumb to the side, turn your fist with your fingers towards you. With your right hand, with a straight palm in a horizontal position, touch the little finger with your left. After that, simultaneously change the position of the right and left hands; accelerating speed).

The frog cheered up and thanked the kittens. And then she said that it was getting dark, night was approaching and she had to go to the pond ( ex. "Frog": change of three positions of the hand fist-rib-palm, with the words: "The frog wants to go to the pond, the frog is scared here!").

The kittens said goodbye to her and went home too (exercise "Cat").

On the way, they watched the stars twinkle in the sky ( ex. "Asterisks": right palm fingers into a fist, left - fingers to the sides - changing positions).

So they reached the house ( ex. "House": hands are directed upwards, thumb, index and middle fingers of each hand are pressed to the palms, the bases of the palms and the tips of the ring fingers touch, the little finger of the right hand stands upright - "pipe"). Tired, they lay down on the rug (pull fingers out of the fist) and fell asleep.

Argumentation of the possibility of application.

What could be more important than your own health? Probably only the health of our children. Our children are our future, the future of our family, our society, country, and the whole world.

Now imagine what difficulties a future schoolchild with "dull brains" will face, since studying at school requires, first of all, concentration of attention, good short-term memory and correct speech.

But this applies not only to schoolchildren, but also to adults. What can we give a child, if we ourselves have “blurred thinking”. We cannot have healthy, happy, balanced children if we ourselves do not achieve balance, if we ourselves are in a chronic reversal of polarity.

Output: regular performance of kinesiological gymnastics complexes promotes activation of interhemispheric interaction, synchronization of the work of the hemispheres. It has a positive effect on the correction of learning, the development of intelligence and improves the state of physical health and social adaptation of children, reduces fatigue, increases the ability to voluntary control, and in turn contributes to the correction of speech development deficiencies in preschoolers with general speech underdevelopment. Such tasks not only develop neural connections, but also amuse children, giving them pleasure.

What is neurobics? This is gymnastics for our brain, exercise, training memory. It was developed by the American neuroscientist Lawrence Katz. The essence of neurobics is to organize the work of 5 human senses in an unusual way. The scientist proved that a person performing the same task begins to lose attention on a new task or business. Monotony in doing the same things leads to memory impairment, decreased concentration. Mechanical execution of actions impairs the connections of neurons in the brain and reduces the mental capacity of a person.

What does neurobics offer? Ordinary routines need to be diversified with impressions that involve one or more senses. Normal activities need to be done in an unusual way.

Exercise for the mind is good for everyone. Children, adults, the elderly - everyone needs to train their neurons to keep their brain active.

An unconventional approach to standard tasks develops imagination and abstract thinking. Nerve cells begin to recover.

The huge benefit of mental exercise is that it can be done anywhere, anytime. On the beach, on the bus, at the kitchen table, or between work. Take some time for your brain.

Exercises. Perform routine tasks in an unaccustomed way

  • Change the routes you are accustomed to. For the usual shortcut from home to shops, take a different route, even if it takes longer. If you are arriving by car, take a ride along other streets. It is necessary to change the same path and dull reality. This exercise will help develop spatial memory and train your mindfulness.
  • Do simple things with your other hand as you train the connections between the two hemispheres of the brain.
  • Sniff different scents. Eat blindfolded to better understand smells.
  • Train the sensory areas of the brain. Move with your eyes closed, guided by sound or touch.
  • Learn to identify with your fingers what is written on the engraving or distinguish the denominations of coins. Try to read texts for the blind with your fingers.
  • New people, acquaintances, places. Try to learn, see, hear as much as possible about the new.
  • Read what you haven't read before. Read a variety of press and books.
  • Practice coming up with non-standard and witty answers to common questions.
  • Train your sense of taste. Try new dishes, cook exotic food.
  • Come up with funny jokes, practical jokes. Involve people you know so you can develop your creativity.
  • Watch the video without sound and try to understand what is at stake.
  • Rearrange furniture at work and at home. Change the screensaver on your computer and phone.
  • Relax with variety, try new activities and cultural programs.
  • Diversify your wardrobe with color, new styles. Change your image.

It is known that the human brain functions using no more than 10-15% of its own capabilities. However, there is a way to increase the efficiency of brain activity by applying gymnastics for the mind, exercises of which have been specially designed to activate the processes occurring under the skull.

Why do we need gymnastics for the mind?

It would seem, how can physical actions stimulate the work of the brain? In fact, a network of nerve fibers provides connections between brain tissue and specific areas of the body.

In this case, the brain not only gives orders, but also receives response signals.

That's why simple exercises able to stimulate mental activity, improve memory, teach to concentrate on the most important points.

Back in the 70s of the last century, American doctor Paul Dennison proposed a set of simple exercises, which were called "Gymnastics for the mind".

Through regular physical practice, you can activate the brain-body system and increase the ability to control not only mental activity, but even emotional sensitivity.

The system of gymnastics is especially useful for the mind for children who are considered unfit for learning. The effectiveness of the training has been proven in practice. During the experiment, the academic performance of children in this group improved by 50%.

In Russia, the technique gained fame in 1988. Since that time, there has been a special direction, kinesiology, which explains the connection between muscle tissue, emotionality and functionality of the brain and is engaged in practical developments in this area.

Not only in childhood gymnastics for the mind is shown, for the elderly it is an unusually easy method to maintain the ability to concentrate, to restore diffused memory. The advantages of the technique are the simplicity of the recommended actions and the absence of special devices. For the elderly, children and everyone else, it will not be difficult to conduct a lesson that lasts only a quarter of an hour, at any convenient time and almost anywhere.

Just three exercises

According to Paul Dennison's system, it is enough to systematically perform 3 elements in order not only to maintain normal memory and attention, but also to increase mental abilities:

  • Cross Steps... An exercise to develop coordination of movements, improve reading and writing skills, and assimilate new information. Besides, "Cross steps" will help reduce pain in the lumbar region and strengthen the abdominal wall. The essence of the lesson: in the "standing" position, alternately touch the left elbow to the right knee and the right elbow to the left knee;
  • Brain buttons. It is recommended to drink water before performing this element. Exercise allows you to saturate the circulatory system with oxygen and ensure its delivery to the brain. One hand is placed on the navel, and the other at this time, the points located in the subclavian zones are stimulated. The duration of the session for each side is 20-30 seconds. Exercise improves the functioning of the vestibular apparatus, which allows the brain to activate, preparing it for the perception of sensory information. At first, the exercise may be accompanied by painful sensations, which, with regular practice, disappear within a week;
  • "Cap". Exercise aimed at improving balance also develops short-term memory. Among the advantages of this exercise- the ability to overcome stress, which is especially useful for schoolchildren and students during the examination period. Using the index and thumb, you need to massage the auricle, while pulling it back and lightly pressing it. Massaging movements are performed from above up to the lobes. The exercise should be repeated at least three times, keeping the head in a straight position.

The system of 6 exercises, Brain Gym, which came to Russia from California, improves coordination and brain activity just as well.

Brain Gym System

Each exercise should be performed at least 3 times:

  • you need to yawn widely, closing your eyes and massaging the tense areas of the jaws with your fingertips. The yawn should be long and sonorous;
  • in the "standing" position, they rest their hands on the back of a chair and, putting their leg back, move the body forward, while slightly bending the other leg. On the second leg, you need to completely transfer the weight, tearing the heel off the floor. Then, you should smoothly move the mass to the leg set back, lifting the toe of the second leg and leaning tightly on the heel of the first. The exercise is performed alternately for each leg;
  • in the supine position, the feet are placed on the floor with the legs bent at the knees. The fingers are intertwined and placed under the head. It is necessary to lift and turn the body, reaching with the left elbow to the right knee and vice versa. You cannot unclench your hands during exercise;
  • you need to find with your fingertips the hollows above the eyes, located approximately at an equal distance from the line of the forehead and eyebrows. The cavities are massaged with light pressure for 30-60 seconds;
  • with both hands, they take a sheet of paper and wave it in the air. The exercise is performed by making movements not only with the hands, but also using the elbows and shoulders;
  • with the left hand they grab the right shoulder, flexing the muscles with the fingers. Then, the head is turned to the right, looking over the shoulder, and a deep breath is taken. In this case, the shoulders are slowly straightened. Further, the head is turned to the left shoulder, trying to look behind it. After that, the head returns to the middle position, lowering the chin to the chest. It is necessary to relax with the whole body, exhaling deeply. The exercise is performed on each side of the body.

When practiced systematically, the exercise program improves memory, helps concentrate, enhance motor coordination, develop creativity, and master public speaking.

Effective gymnastics for brain development will help to heal the body and develop the left and right hemispheres.

  • Man is an intelligent being. He perceives the world around him differently than, for example, animals, and possesses special thinking and logic. To understand how to develop your brain, you need to know its functions.
  • The brain can be called a computer, because its possibilities are endless. Throughout the entire segment of life, a person learns something new, a lot of information can be stored in his head. He remembers only what he needs, and what will never come in handy is "removed" forever
  • The brain consists of two hemispheres - right and left. Each side has its own functional features - everything is analyzed in a strict order, remembered or deleted

How to develop the left brain hemisphere?

The left side is responsible for logic. Language abilities, solving logical circuits, mathematical operations, calculating integers and fractions, keeping track of time - all this is the work of the left half of the brain.

Therefore, to improve the performance of children in school or to improve overall development, we must develop the left side of our "computer".

So how to develop the left brain hemisphere? The following must be done:

  • Work on the development of logic - study mathematical algorithms, practice logical thinking
  • Solve complex geometric problems. The study of a science such as mathematics is impossible without a well-developed left half of our brain.
  • Solve puzzles and crosswords - analyzing actions and forming words, the left hemisphere works better than the right
  • A left-handed person needs to do everything with his right hand: write, draw, eat. It is necessary to use the right side of the body.
  • Take to improve brain function

Important: Try not to get hung up on the development of one of the halves of the brain. It is the work of both halves of our brain "computer" that is valuable. Develop the left and right hemispheres of the brain at the same time.

How to develop the right brain hemisphere?

Above, we figured out what the left half of the brain is responsible for, now we need to work on developing intuitive abilities and creative thinking.

The right side of the brain processes data from the senses. It allows you to synthesize the available data in your head, so a person can solve puzzles and act according to their own plans, and not according to patterns.

By developing the right half, we cultivate a holistic view of the world and reality. How to develop the right brain hemisphere? Do the following:

  • Listen to music - it should be classical music, not rock or pop
  • Dream, meditate alone. It is better to do meditation by the sea or in the forest, where there is a connection with nature
  • Draw, write poetry, compose music. Any creativity helps the development of the right half of the brain.

Tip: Tune in to creativity, believe in your capabilities, and the result will not be long in coming.

From birth, the baby's brain is tuned to learn something new. Therefore, even routine activities such as feeding, walking and changing diapers are educational.

Tip: Do not invent anything new in order to develop the brain of your baby. Don't get hung up on doing something special.

In order to properly develop a child's brain, it is necessary to provide him with only proper care.

Important: Talk to your baby even when picking up mail from the mailbox or making tea. Such comments help to interest the child, which means that he begins to think and develop.

Joint reading of books, games, mother's songs, dancing with a baby in her arms helps well in development. Even the usual massage and wiggle before bed will be developing for the child's brain.

Psychophysiologists are working hard to create methods for harmonizing and developing the brain.

Each hemisphere is responsible for its own hand, so musicians and pianists improve both hemispheres of the brain. After all, they play musical instruments with two hands, which helps to develop the two halves of the brain well.

Exercises for the brain for adults and preschoolers are very effective, in which two hands are involved:

THE EXERCISE: Grasp the tip of the nose with your left hand and your left earlobe with your right. Then lower your hands and clap your hands. Change hands and repeat the exercise

THE EXERCISE: Sit at the table and put a piece of paper in front of you. Take a pencil in both hands, and begin to draw symmetrical mirror drawings. Let them be simple at first, such as letters or numbers. If it is difficult to do this with both hands, you will first have to do the exercise with each hand separately.

THE EXERCISE: Take a piece of paper with both hands and wave it, using not only your hands, but also your elbows and shoulders

THE EXERCISE: Place your left hand on your right shoulder, turn your head in this direction, focusing your gaze on any object. Slowly turn your head towards your left shoulder and look over it. Repeat the exercise with your right hand over your left shoulder.

THE EXERCISE: Place your hands on the back of the chair - this is the support. Place one leg back. Move the body forward, bending the other leg. Shift your body weight onto it. Raise your heel slightly from the back standing leg... Now smoothly transfer all your weight to your back leg. Lower her heel, and lift the toe of the other leg. Repeat 5 times, then change legs.

THE EXERCISE: Write words in different colors on paper. Repeat them as quickly as possible, and without hesitation

Chess, checkers, puzzles, Rubik's cube, rebuses and crosswords help to develop the brain.

Gymnastics for the brain - Olga Troitskaya

The exercise systems program was developed back in the 70s. Scientists of that time spent researching with their students, each of whom did gymnastics every day. Since then, the system has been spreading all over the world with excellent results.

Olga Troitskaya is a successful psychologist. She great importance pays the development of the brain, because thanks to a clear mind, a person can be happy and successful.

Important: Exercise increases the tone of the cerebral cortex, and massage of biologically active points allows you to make both halves of the brain work.

EXERCISE # 1 "CROSS KROLY":

  • Crawl on the floor like a child. You can just march when you are lethargic and you don't feel like doing anything. The feeling of cheerfulness will come instantly

EXERCISE # 2:

  • Stand up straight with feet shoulder-width apart
  • Bend over with shoulder to hip, not elbow to knee
  • The head turns slightly in the course of action
  • The mouth is not pinched, the lips are free. Only all muscles are clamped and Bottom part faces

EXERCISE No. 3 "BUTTONS OF THE BRAIN":

  • Place two fingers under the collarbones (there are 2 pits in that place). The second hand is located at the navel
  • Massage the pits lightly
  • Change hands
  • You also need to massage the dimples located between the 1st and 2nd ribs under the collarbones. It is a powerful neuro-lymphatic zone with large vessels extending from the heart.

EXERCISE №4 "CAP FOR THINKING":

  • Grab hold of upper part ear, and gently massage, as if stretching back and twisting each point of the ear
  • Turn your head to the left to the limit. Massage your ears, letting your head look backward, farther and farther away. Massage from top to bottom. When the head turns to the limit, stop doing the exercise.
  • Turn your head to the right and repeat all the steps again, as with turning your head to the left

EXERCISE №5 "SOVA":

  • Grasp the left shoulder in the middle with your right hand.
  • Turn your head slightly to the left
  • Begin to knead - as you exhale, squeeze your fingers and say "UH". Eyes widen and look like an owl
  • Turn your head a little from side to side
  • Then grab your right shoulder with your left hand and repeat the exercise.

EXERCISE # 6 "LAZY EIGHT":

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, feet parallel, knees straight and slightly bent. The body is relaxed
  • Bend one arm in elbow joint and put it forward. The thumb looks up. Fix your gaze on it. The thumb is on the midline of the body.
  • Imagine a circle in front of you, in which draw a recumbent figure eight.
  • Change hands and repeat the exercise
  • Then do it with both hands together - left and up

EXERCISE # 7 "DENISON'S HOOKS":

1 part of the exercise:

  • Interlace your legs
  • Stretch your arms forward, palms out.

Gymnastics for the blood vessels of the brain - Niches

Japanese healer Katsuzo Nishi has created a system of exercises to improve the body's health. This is done through capillary training.

Gymnastics for the vessels of the brain Niche:

  • The simplest exercise to improve the condition of the capillaries and blood circulation is called "Vibration"... In the morning, without getting out of bed, lift your legs and arms up and shake them for 2 minutes. This kind of massage of the capillaries also helps to redistribute the lymphatic fluid, which allows you to cleanse the body of toxins.
  • The exercise "Gold fish"... Lying on a flat surface, place your hands under your neck, at the level of the fourth cervical vertebra. Pull your toes towards you. Tighten strongly and reproduce vibrating movements with your whole body, like a fish

These exercises help reduce tone. nervous system, and raise the tone of blood vessels. Active blood circulation begins throughout the body, blood vessels are actively working and strengthening.

Here's another effective exercise to strengthen blood vessels and improve brain function:

  • Seniors also need a lot of their body if they want to live their lives in health.
  • Therefore, it is necessary to begin today to do brain gymnastics and exercises for the elderly. The exercises from Olga Troitskaya, which are presented above, work very well for the brain.
  • Elderly people are suitable for all exercises that are younger people and children. Just do them slowly and do as many reps as you can.
  • Thanks to constant exercises, lethargy, laziness will disappear, the vestibular apparatus will be activated. An elderly person will be able to achieve full functioning of the brain

Brain Sync - 25 Exercises

To start developing your brain, follow these tips:

Advice: Get rid of physical inactivity - this is a problem of sedentary people. Move more - do not spend a lot of time at the computer and TV. If you do not move, blood vessels become clogged with cholesterol plaques, which leads to brain problems.

Advice: Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages. Alcohol kills neurons. But, if you choose between vodka, wine and beer, then beer has much less harm to our brain.

Advice: Drink 2 liters of water a day. To people who have overweight should drink up to 4 liters of clean still water per day. It helps to remove toxins and toxins.

Advice: When doing any homework, do it with fun and irony! The brain loves good emotions.

Cleanup fun - both hemispheres of the brain work

As a person works on the development of muscles, so he must develop his brain. If the brain is not given daily work, it will grow decrepit.

Important: If daily stress is present, then the number of gray cells increases, new capillaries appear and new synapses are formed between neurons.

By following these tips, you will help your brain: it will not "get bored" and will constantly develop:

  1. Walking around the house with your eyes closed can help develop coordination of movements.
  2. Determine the denomination of the coins that are in your pocket by touch
  3. Master Braille - Reading and Writing for the Blind
  4. Write with your left hand if you are right-handed and with your right hand if you are left-handed.
  5. Buy and wear unusual clothes
  6. Change your hair color or get a short haircut if you have had long hair
  7. Travel, discover new cities and countries
  8. Change the interior in your home and office more often
  9. Come up with new phrases to answer the questions: how are you, what's new?

Important: Why do this? Habits bore the brain, and it gets tired of routine. Everything new is interesting to him: emotions, words, actions and places.

WARM UP FOR THE BRAIN: Do the exercises with your eyes closed:

  • Inhale calmly and deeply 10 times.
  • Take your time to count out loud from 1 to 100, and vice versa, from 100 to 1
  • Imagine a pink circle in your head, then, using a turn, mentally remake it into a square, triangle, trapezoid and rhombus
  • Speak the alphabet, coming up with a word for each letter, for example, "A - watermelon"
  • Look at yourself in your mind. Take a closer look at all the details of clothing and accessories. Think about the fact that you are smiling
  • Read any text backwards

Synchronizing Brain - Warm Up

EXERCISE "AMBULANCE": On a piece of paper, write the letters of the alphabet, and under them L, P or B. The letters from the upper lines are spoken out loud, and from the lower ones - they are performed by hands (L - left hand goes up, P - the right hand goes up, B - both hands go up). It is difficult to do all this at the same time, although it seems simple at first glance.

Now let's remember exercises from physical education lessons, which, as it turned out, help develop the brain and make it work synchronously:

PARALLEL EXERCISE:

  • Reach with the elbow of your right hand to the knee of your right leg, and with the elbow of your left hand to the knee of your left leg - repeat 12 times

CROSS EXERCISE:

  • Reach with the elbow of your right hand to the knee of your left leg, and with the elbow of your left hand to the knee of your right leg

It will take only 2 minutes to complete these exercises, and the effect will be felt immediately - the head will become "fresh" and "lightened".

Specialists and experts in the field of brain development provide very valuable advice to those people who are working on synchronizing their brains. If they are performed at least once a week, progress will appear necessarily.

Brain sync - watch on the other hand
  • Advice: Gymnastics of the fingers helps to develop the neural work of the brain. Open and close your fingers, making the task more difficult and doing the exercise through one finger
  • Advice: Swap items on your desktop. This will force the brain to seek new solutions. But don't do it too often so your brain won't get used to it.
  • Advice: Say twenty male or female names aloud. Imagine these people and how they smile at you. Wish them all a good day
  • Advice: Once a week, go to bed with your head to the other end of the bed. This is unusual for the brain and it will not be able to fall asleep quickly, but we must try.
  • Advice: Change the hand on which you wear the watch. At first, you will experience inconvenience, but then you will no longer notice it. Change hands again after 7 days
  • Advice: When cleaning the house, fold things nicely, but not in place. After that, the brain will have to work and remember where things and objects are after cleaning.
  • Advice: Solve various logic puzzles. They can be found in collections, children's magazines or on the web.
  • Advice: Once a week, think about what you have accomplished in a week. Make plans for the coming week by highlighting major events
  • Advice: Occasionally write letters to yourself telling you about the mistakes you made during the week. Do not feel sorry for yourself, write down even minor troubles so that you can become even better next week.

DIFFICULT EXERCISE TO INCREASE BRAIN:

  • Sit on a chair and cross your legs
  • With your foot on top, draw clockwise circles in the air.
  • After that, draw a circle counterclockwise with the finger of your right hand - the leg continues to move clockwise

EXERCISE "COLOR":

  • Take a blank sheet of paper and paint, with a felt-tip pen or pencil, paint it completely in one color
  • List all the associations you have with this color. For example, red - cherry, watermelon, flag, and so on.

EXERCISE "ACCOUNT":

  • Count to 20 and back, but omit a digit that is, for example, 3 or that is divisible by 3

EXERCISE "WORD":

  • Pick up a newspaper and read any first word that comes across
  • Compose ten different sentences with this word, quickly and without hesitation.
  • Place both palms on your stomach - left hand on right
  • Exhale as if blowing out a candle
  • You need to do this exercise for one minute.

EXERCISE "LIFTING WITHOUT HANDS":

  • Sit on the floor and spread your legs wide
  • Now rise sharply without using your hands
  • During this exercise, both hemispheres of the brain begin to work in concert. A sense of balance is important. CAUTION: You may fall during this exercise.

EXERCISE "LETTER":

  • Close your eyes and imagine any letter in your head
  • Call up to twenty objects by ear with this letter, for example: one is a tank, two is a tractor, three is a throne, four is oatmeal, and so on. The faster you name words, the better.

EXERCISE TO IMPROVE BLOOD CIRCULATION:

  • Extend one hand forward, extend your thumb, and draw 8 in the air.
  • Do 4 of these reps. Change your hand
  • Finally, do gymnastics with both arms.

EXERCISE TO IMPROVE BRAIN WORK:

  • Raise both hands up
  • Draw a square in the air with one hand and a star with the other
  • As soon as the exercise starts to work out, switch hands. To complicate it, come up with drawings of other shapes.

Now let's learn how to do physical exercises to sync the brain. After performing such gymnastics, both hemispheres of the brain will learn to work at the same time.

EXERCISE "BREAKING THE FINGERS AND HANDS":

  • Sit on a high table with your legs swinging freely
  • Spread your fingers and bring your fingertips together, keeping your hands in front of you
  • Perform swinging movements with your hands. Fingertips must meet each other

Important: If you want to complicate this exercise, connect your toes. Swing your arms and pinch your toes together, spread your legs. With your arms spread apart, bring your legs together.

Synchronizing Brain - Crossing Arms and Legs

EXERCISE "CROSSING HANDS AND LEGS":

  • First, swing your arms in front of your body at shoulder level. The palms should be facing the floor.
  • After a while, start doing swings and criss-crossing behind the body - at the level of the buttocks
  • Continue the exercise by joining the leg movement.
  • When moving to the right, drive left leg in front of the right, and the right leg in front of the left when moving to the left

Another similar exercise:

  • Cross your legs while moving.
  • Side step - place your left leg behind your right
  • Take one more step with your right and place your left foot
  • Repeat the movement in the opposite direction

EXERCISE "PUPPET REVERSE":

  • Stand up straight with your feet together. Fold your arms over your head. Jump and swing your arms to the sides and back, spreading your legs. Jump back to starting position
  • Perform the previous movements with your legs, and stretch your arms in front of the body, moving them up and down.
  • Use your arms to move to the sides, with your legs - jumping back and forth from foot to foot, as while walking

EXERCISE "GREAT CONDUCTOR":

  • Play any classical music
  • Stand in a position like a conductor stands in front of the orchestra
  • Raise your arms to shoulder height, with one arm higher than the other
  • Draw eights lying in the air: the left hand writes to the left, the right hand to the right.
  • After that draw an inner arc and repeat all exercises in the opposite direction.

EXERCISE "CONFUSION":

  • The right hand is on the head, the left is on the stomach. Pat yourself on the top of your head and stroke your stomach in a circle at the same time
  • Stroke your stomach clockwise with your left hand, and stroke the left clavicle in the opposite direction with your right hand.

EXERCISE "NOSE DRAWING":

  • Imagine a pencil on the tip of your nose
  • Draw eights in the air
  • When this exercise works, write first and last names in the air.

EXERCISE "ROLL WITH LEMON":

  • Prepare lemon and stool
  • Lie on your back with a chair behind your head. Squeeze the lemon between your feet
  • Raise your legs so that you can put the lemon on the chair
  • Lower your legs, then lift, and take the lemon from the chair, returning to the starting position

Advice: Young people are in good physical form they can put lemon not on a chair, but on the floor behind their head.

Important: It is good to do a birch tree and a headstand along with this exercise. Such gymnastics will help stimulate cerebral circulation.

EXERCISE "BREATH OF YOGA":

  • Sit on a chair and relax with your back straight. Place the index and middle fingers of your right hand on the bridge of the nose
  • Use your ring finger to lightly close the left nostril and inhale slowly through the right nostril for a count of 8
  • Hold your breath for 4 seconds. Then press with your thumb and close the right nostril, exhaling slowly through the left nostril for a count of 8.
  • Hold your breath for 4 seconds, and inhale again for a count of 8, but now through the left nostril

RELAXATION AND CONCENTRATION EXERCISE:

  • Sit on the floor in Turkish style and close your eyes
  • Take a few breaths, blowing the air deep down your belly. The diaphragm should work
  • Concentrate on your breathing. While inhaling, pronounce "OM" out loud, and while exhaling - "AH"

Strengthening memory - yawning wide

EXERCISE TO STRENGTHEN MEMORY:

  • Close your eyes and yawn wide
  • Massage the tense areas of the lower and upper jaw at the same time
  • The yawn should be long and sonorous. Repeat exercise 3-6 times

EXERCISE FOR LOGIC DEVELOPMENT:

  • Lie on the floor, bend your knees, feet flat on the floor. Place your hands under your head and interlace your fingers. Without unclenching your hands, rise and at the same time turn around, resting your elbow on the floor
  • Left elbow to right knee, right elbow to left knee. Repeat this exercise 5 times in each direction.

EXERCISE TO DEVELOP MIND ABILITY(helps to improve the accuracy of movements):

  • Find the dimples on the forehead, above the eyebrows
  • Press lightly with your fingertips for one minute. Repeat the exercise 3-4 times

Be healthy, and do not forget to share useful information with your friends and relatives. After all, perhaps this will help them to prolong their life, and live it happily and successfully!
