Healing mudras of the fingers. Yoga of fingers - mudras. For correct gestures you need

Mudra is a closed energy system aimed at improving internal functions (allowing the restoration of internal programs of the body) and working with the subconscious, in which:

  • some energy channels close and their energy, accumulating, remains in the body;
  • some channels are open and maintain dynamic energy equilibrium with the external environment (the amount of energy freely leaving the channel is equal to the amount of energy freely entering it from the outside).

Purpose of mudras:

  • make it possible to work with various energy channels;
  • subconsciously turn on the body's systems through programs embedded in the subconscious;
  • They close certain channels and ensure automatic functioning of the body without taking into account consciousness.

Applicable:

  • in meditation;
  • in contemplation;
  • in asanas;
  • in pranayama;
  • in treatment;
  • when restoring organ systems;
  • to enter the state.

Aspects of mudras (each mudra has its own aspects or indications):

1. Physiological aspect:

2. Energy aspect:

  • clean energy channels;
  • increase energy potential.

3. Mental aspect:

  • give inner peace;
  • remove emotions;
  • restore the psyche.

  • restore the endocrine and central nervous systems.

Meet: finger yoga - mudras

Ayurveda is an invaluable gift from India for the health of our people. Did you know that with the help of certain combinations of fingers you can heal a person from many ailments? And they were developed by ancient Indian medicine - Ayurveda. Translated from Sanskrit, “Ayurveda” means “pure knowledge.” The knowledge contained in Ayurveda is extremely complex, especially for Europeans who are not familiar with the intricacies of Eastern esoteric knowledge.

Guru Maharishi somewhat simplified, systematized and generalized the knowledge of ancient Indian medicine and created the Maharishi system - Ayurveda, which is more understandable for us Europeans. Ayurvedic medicine is multicomponent and is based on the concept of a single field and a holistic organism, as well as a strictly individualized approach to each type of organism. The Ayurveda system has a strictly individualized, comprehensive treatment plan, which includes therapeutic nutrition, daily routine, physical exercise, drinking water, treatment with medicinal plants, minerals, metals, color and light, acupuncture, in a word. And finally, one of the main components this health system is finger yoga, or mudra, with which we want to introduce our reader.

It is noteworthy that this became possible thanks to the constantly growing and strengthening contacts with India in the field of medicine and healthcare, and not only with Russia, but also with Belarus. Therefore, it is not by chance that it was in Minsk that material devoted to this issue was first published (I mean the book by E.I. Gonikman “How to pull yourself out of stress: Ayurveda - finger yoga - mudras.” - Minsk: Center traditional medicine"Santana", 1992). It was this work that served us as one of the sources when preparing material on this topic. E.I. Gonikman considers mudras as a kind of help and gift from distant and beautiful India for the healing of our people, who were seriously affected by the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

Wise - they are wise. In Sanskrit, mudra is the name given to the ritual position of the hands in the Hindu-Buddhist religion. The position of the hands - mudra - is strictly defined by the canon and has a secret symbolic meaning. Mudra experts count hundreds of different meanings in combinations and figures depicted with the fingers.

Numerous mudras in India contain a revelation that is understandable only to initiates. There are mudras that symbolize mercy, reassurance, instruction, reflection, threat, etc.

“We selected those from among the many wise ones,” writes E.I. in his book. Gonikman, - the implementation of which provides significant healing effect and with certain skills it is easily doable. Not every one of us can practice the amazing art of Indian yogis, their beautiful health programs. In addition, there are contraindications for a certain category of patients, so you cannot practice advanced yoga without a teacher (guru).

What we offer you is available to everyone and has no contraindications. By practicing daily, you will very soon feel the healing value of mudras.”

What is the healing effect of mudras based on? In previous materials, we have already told you that any disease is associated with a violation of bioenergy in one or another organ, as well as “malfunctions” in the functioning of the corresponding energy channels responsible for the function of organs and systems of the body. Ancient Indian healers, offering one or another combination, thereby close the energy channels, causing the desired healing effect. It goes without saying that it is very difficult to correct disturbed bioenergy in one or two such procedures. Therefore, be patient when performing mudras. After all, you acquire your illnesses over the years. That is why the desire to heal is not enough here; time and perseverance are also needed. Any treatment must begin with a review of one’s position in life. It is not without reason that they say that illness is retribution for sins. Therefore, analyze your actions and thoughts. When performing mudras, always face east. This alone (even without performing mudras) can significantly strengthen your disturbed bioenergy.

Mudras can be performed in any position, but the “lotus pose” is considered optimal. All exercises are performed calmly, without the slightest muscle tension or any effort. Performing mudras does not require a special environment or room; they can be performed, for example, even while walking, not to mention when you are sitting at home and watching TV. Mudras are performed with both hands. The total time for classes daily is 45 minutes. It is not at all forbidden if you gain this time several times during the day: for example, 3 times for 15 minutes or, say, 9 times for 5 minutes.

The effect in the case of some chronic diseases usually occurs after a month of continuous exercise, and sometimes later. But you will definitely feel relief. We repeat, just be patient!

In case of acute illnesses, within a few days you will feel an improvement in your health and well-being. Sometimes, for example with heart disease, improvement occurs within a day.

To this it remains to add that the drawings we borrowed with the image of mudras and slightly modified text to them from the already mentioned book by E.I. Gonikman were once prepared by the author of the Minsk edition in collaboration with the head of the department of oriental medicine of the Central Monastery of Mongolia "Gandan", the head of the department of the international adaptation service Lama Maramba Singh. Emma Gonikman is a member of the International Association of Electropuncture and Alternative Medicine Specialists and at the same time the head of the Santana Center for Traditional Medicine. We also express our sincere gratitude to the publishing group of the Center for Traditional Medicine and the Technopolis company, who managed to prepare and publish an excellent book.

Mudra “Shell” (Fig. 92)

Rice. 92. Mudra “Sink”

Indications: diseases of the throat, larynx, hoarseness. When performing this mudra, the voice intensifies. Therefore, it should be adopted primarily by singers, artists, teachers and professional politicians, as well as radio and television announcers. We advise parents to take a close look at this mudra, since children suffer from nasopharyngeal diseases quite often. A real scourge for children is false croup, characterized by spasm of the muscles of the larynx, as well as swelling of its mucous membrane. In children's practice, I quite widely and with good effect I use this mudra. Children, even small ones, quickly and easily learn the required position of their hands and do everything as they should, you just need to sit next to them. The execution method is very simple. The two joined hands depict a figure very similar to a shell. The four fingers of the right hand hug the thumb of the left hand. The thumb of the right hand touches the pad of the middle finger of the left hand.

Mudra "Cow" (Fig. 93)

Today everyone, even children, knows very well that in India the cow is considered a sacred animal. Therefore, it is not surprising that this is reflected in the name of the mudra. Moreover, the fingers laid out to the sides and widely spread are very reminiscent of the horns of this animal.

Rice. 93. Mudra “Cow”

Indications: “rheumatic” pain, attacks of radiculitis, joint diseases.

Execution technique: the little finger of the left hand touches the ring (heart) finger of the right hand; The little finger of the right hand touches the ring finger of the left hand. At the same time, the middle finger of the right hand is connected to the index finger of the left hand, and the middle finger of the left hand is connected to the index finger of the right hand. The thumbs are spread out like the horns of a cow.

Mudra “Knowledge” (Fig. 94)

This mudra is one of the most important. Relieves emotional stress, anxiety, restlessness, melancholy, sadness, melancholy and depression. Improves thinking, activates memory, concentrates potential.

Rice. 94. Mudra “Knowledge”

Indications: insomnia, excessive sleepiness, high blood pressure. This mudra revives us, as it were, anew. Many thinkers, philosophers, scientists have used and continue to use this mudra. However, why only them? The very name of this mudra already suggests that a wider circle of people should engage in this exercise, that is, all those who receive knowledge in schools and educational institutions. Another thing is that many people simply don’t know about it. Therefore, we advise parents to also include this mudra in their arsenal.

Execution technique It's not at all difficult to remember. The index finger connects easily to the pad of the thumb. The remaining three fingers are straightened (not tense).

Mudra "Sky" (Fig. 95)

The sky is connected with higher powers - with top man, with the head, with the Cosmos, from which we draw our mind and energy.

Rice. 95. Mudra “Sky”

Indications: for people suffering from ear diseases and hearing loss. Performing the “Sky” mudra in some cases leads to a very rapid improvement in hearing. Long-term practice leads to almost complete cure of many ear diseases. According to the Central Russian Institute for Advanced Medical Studies in Moscow, in particular specialists from the Department of Otolaryngology childhood, the number of cases of hearing loss in children has increased sharply, as has the number of chronic middle ear diseases. That is why parents of sick children should also widely use this technique. Meanwhile, during my recent advanced training courses at this department, I did not hear a single word about the existence of such a simple and at the same time very effective method. All this once again confirms that official healthcare continues to stubbornly ignore the invaluable thousand-year experience of traditional medicine. But we know that there is such a wonderful exercise, and you can use it successfully.

Method of its execution is also simple. We bend the middle finger so that its pad touches the base of the thumb, and with the thumb we press the bent middle finger. The remaining fingers are straight and not tense. That's all the wisdom.

Mudra “Wind” (Fig. 96)

As already mentioned, in oriental medicine By “wind” we mean a damaging factor in the external environment - “wind diseases”, as well as the primary element of the element “air”, which is part of the structure of the Universe and our body.

Rice. 96. Mudra “Wind”

Indications: muscle pain, radiculitis, trembling of hands, neck, head.

When performing the “Wind” mudra, within a few hours you can notice a significant improvement in your condition. For chronic diseases, this mudra should be used alternately with the “Life” mudra. Exercises can be stopped after improvement and the beginning of the disappearance of signs of the disease, expressed in visible muscle tremors.

Execution technique: We place the index finger so that its pad reaches the base of the thumb. We lightly hold this finger with our thumb, and the remaining fingers are straightened and relaxed.

Mudra “Lifting” (Fig. 97)

Indications: for colds, sore throat, pneumonia, cough, runny nose, sinusitis, overweight. Performing this mudra mobilizes the body's defenses, improves immunity and promotes rapid recovery. From here it is not difficult to guess why this mudra is so named.

Rice. 97. Mudra “Lifting”

If you are overweight, you need to lose it. Simultaneously with performing this mudra, you need to follow the following diet: during the day, drink at least 8 glasses of boiled water. hot water in small sips. Then the feeling of hunger will not be so painful. Food should consist entirely of fruits, rice and curdled milk.

However, E.I. Gonikman sternly warns: “Using this mudra too long and too often can cause apathy and even lethargy - do not overdo it!” Let us add on our own behalf: this mudra can also be used for the same schoolchildren to combat “colds”. But given the precautions, it is better if they do this under adult supervision.

Execution technique: both palms are joined together, fingers crossed. The thumb of one hand is set back and surrounded by the index finger and thumb of the other hand.

Mudra “Life Saving” (first aid for heartfelt attack) (Fig. 98)

Everyone should learn how to perform this mudra, since its timely use can save your own life, as well as the lives of your loved ones, family and friends.

Rice. 98. Mudra “Life Saving”

Indications: pain in the heart, heart attacks, rapid heartbeats, discomfort in the heart with anxiety and melancholy, myocardial infarction. In all of the above conditions, you must immediately begin to perform this mudra with both hands at the same time. Relief occurs immediately, the effect is similar to the use of nitroglycerin (I tested it on myself several times).

Execution technique: We bend the index finger so that it touches the base of the thumb with the pad of the terminal phalanx (the projection point of the heart is located here). At the same time, we fold the middle, ring and thumb fingers with pads, the little finger remains straight.

Mudra “Life” (Fig. 99)

Performing this mudra equalizes the energy potential of the entire body, helps strengthen its vitality, increases performance, endurance, visual acuity, gives vigor and improves overall well-being.

Rice. 99. Mudra “Life”

Indications: state of fatigue, weakness, visual impairment, eye disease. This is especially important in children's practice, since children with glasses are now more the rule than the exception. It is noteworthy that conditions close to myopia are now forming already in kindergarten. The main reason for this is the unusually increased visual load: modeling, drawing, reading, watching cartoons and other programs on TV. Meanwhile, the glasses prescribed by the vast majority of ophthalmologists (with the exception of bifocal glasses by Yu.A. Utekhin) are a kind of prosthetics. They do not correct myopia as such, but due to the refractive properties of the lenses they help the eye to see better. Thus, the accommodative muscles of the eye and the lens are relieved of stress. And this does not go unnoticed for the body. Due to constant inactivity, the eye muscles weaken, as a result of which stronger lenses have to be prescribed. So it turns out that, having put on glasses in childhood due to myopia, a person then wears them without taking them off all his life. Therefore, we strongly recommend that all parents, including those whose children do not yet have glasses, take note of the “Life” mudra.

Execution technique It is simple: the pads of the ring finger, little finger and thumb are connected together, and the remaining fingers are freely straightened. Performed with both hands at the same time.

Mudra"Earth" (Fig. 100)

Earth is one of the primary elements from which our body is built, one of the elements that determines the type of personality and the tendency to diseases. But in general, our beautiful planet Earth, together with the Great Cosmos, gives life to everything that lives on it.

Rice. 100. Mudra “Earth”

Indications: improvement of the psychophysical state of the body, relief of mental weakness, stress relief. Performing this mudra improves an objective assessment of one’s own personality, increases self-confidence, and also provides protection from negative external energy influences, for example, from the so-called evil eye, bioenergetic vampirism.

Execution technique: The ring and thumb are connected by pads with slight pressure. The remaining fingers are straightened. Performed with both hands.

Mudra “Water” (Fig. 101)

Water is one of the five primary elements that form our body and planet. The element of water gives a certain coloring to people born in the zodiac group of this element, as well as a tendency to diseases. In the general understanding, water is the basis of life, without which all life on the planet is unthinkable.

Rice. 101. Mudra “Water”

Indications: with excess phlegm, water or mucus in the lungs, stomach (increased mucus production during inflammation), etc. Excessive accumulation of mucus in the body can, according to Eastern concepts, cause an energy blockade of the entire body. Performing this mudra is also recommended for diseases of the liver and biliary system, intestinal colic, and bloating.

Execution technique: We bend the little finger of the right hand so that it touches the base of the thumb, with which we lightly press the little finger. With the left hand we grasp the right hand from below, with the thumb of the left hand placed on the thumb of the right hand.

Mudra “Energy” (Fig. 102)

Life is unthinkable without energy. Energy fields and radiations permeate the entire Universe, interacting with each other, emitting and absorbing, in order to be reborn again.

The ancient Hindus called the flow of energy prana, Chinese - qi, Japanese - chi, Vietnamese - hee. Concentrated and directed energy is capable of performing miracles of both creation and healing, and destruction. The polarity of energy (plus and minus) is the basis of movement and life.

Rice. 102. Mudra “Energy”

Performing this mudra provides an analgesic effect, as well as removing from the body various poisons and toxins that poison it. This mudra treats diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract (ureters and bladder), as well as the spine, and leads to cleansing of the body. It is also quite applicable in children's practice. So all parents who have children with renal pathology and spinal diseases in their care need to remember this method.

Execution technique: We connect the pads of the middle, ring and thumb fingers together, the remaining fingers are freely straightened.

Mudra “Window of Wisdom” (Fig. 103)

This mudra opens centers that are important for life, promoting the development of thinking, and activates mental activity, which is practically necessary for every person, but especially for those studying at school or an educational institution. As for diseases, this mudra is primarily indicated for cerebral circulatory disorders and cerebral vascular sclerosis. And all this, as you know, takes place at a more advanced age.

Rice. 103. Mudra “Window of Wisdom”

Execution technique: The ring finger of the right hand is pressed against the first phalanx of the thumb of the same hand. The fingers of the left hand are folded in the same way. The remaining fingers are freely spaced.

Yoga mudras for fingers are special gestures and body positions that can change a person’s mood, as well as the state of his psyche by directing the flow of internal energy.

Mudras allow you to increase concentration or, on the contrary, relax the body and calm the mind, plus they heal human body from many diseases. In this article we will look at the main healing mudras with photos. But first, let's delve a little into the history of the emergence of mudras.

The healing practice of mudras comes from ancient China and dates back more than 2000 years. At that time, people involved in healing believed that to maintain the normal functioning of the body, simply eating food was not enough, but that a special type of energy obtained from outer space was vitally necessary.

The process of circulation of this energy occurs through special meridian channels, through which it spreads throughout the body, reaching different organs and tissues.

In the same situations when malfunctions occur in the meridians, the energy “feed” no longer reaches the place that needs it and, as a result, internal organs begin to suffer and work incorrectly. This can be due to a number of different factors: negative environmental conditions, genetics, frequent stress factors, but the result always remains the same: pathologies of various types arise in the body.

Basic 6 energy channels pass through a person’s hands and fingers, which affect such important organs as the heart, lungs, brain, liver, spleen, vascular system, large and small intestines. This is why we have such impressive healing powers in our hands!

And if you learn to place your hands in special combinations, you will be able to activate certain meridians, due to which the energy will begin to spread throughout the body, the energy flow as a whole will be normalized, and the affected organs will be healed.

Rules for performing mudras

The positive thing is that the practice of mudras is quite simple; anyone can easily learn it. To do this, just follow certain rules:

  • Perform mudras in a peaceful atmosphere; it is important that your face is facing east. If an urgent need arises, the practice of mudras is also allowed in public places - in parks, in transport, even during a work lunch break. Performing mudras in a sitting, standing position, or even while walking brings the same result.
  • Keep your hands in a calm, non-stressed state. Some of the mudra practices can actually be performed without even taking your hands out of your pockets on the street or while wearing gloves. But, of course, it is best to do the exercises at home, having previously prepared for them.
  • Another very important factor when performing healing mudras is the right attitude. It is so important that when starting to practice you feel calm and remain fully confident in the positive result. Free your mind from all troubles and disorders, in your thoughts ask them to forgive you all those whom you may have offended, and you yourself sincerely forgive all your offenders.
  • If you adhere to some religion, before starting the exercises you need to pray, asking the Higher Powers for help for yourself, and at the end of the practice, be sure to thank them for the session.

When mudras are used, energy flows improve not only in the human body, but also in the entire surrounding reality. This means that thanks to mudras it is possible to actually heal other people, even while being at a considerable distance from them. To do this, all you need is a sincere desire to help a person in need.

If this person is with you at the moment, you need to approach him so as not to attract increased attention to yourself and begin to practice the mudra that is most appropriate now.

And while staying at a distance, you should simply visualize the image of the person you are interested in, holding it in your thoughts throughout the entire time of doing this exercise.

When choosing healing mudras, you should not forget that with the help of exercise you can only eliminate the symptoms, but will not get rid of the root cause of the pathology. For example, you may suffer from headaches not only due to high blood pressure, and also due to digestive problems, osteochondrosis and other pathological conditions.
