The Gazprom Neft Cup is one of the largest international children's hockey tournaments in Europe, held on a divisional model. Children take part in the competition KHL teams V age category up to 11 years old. The tournament is held in two groups - West and East.

Last years we were on the path of expansion to include children's teams KHL clubs. This year, all league teams with their own children's schools applied to participate in the tournament. On April 20, the XII International Hockey Tournament for children's teams of the KHL "Gazprom Neft Cup" starts in Sochi - one of the largest competitions in Europe for athletes in the age category of 11 years. 13 teams from Belarus, Germany, Latvia, Russia and Finland will take part in the tournament. The German team “Jungadler Mannheim” will come to try their hand at the unofficial European Championship for the first time.
The colorful opening ceremony of the Gazprom Neft Cup will take place on April 21 at the Bolshoi Sports Palace. Entrance to the arena will open at 16.30. All hockey fans will enjoy a rich animation zone in the palace lobby. Spectators will be greeted by the mascots of the competition - polar bears, face painting and races for radio controlled cars, floorball, instaprinter and other entertainment.
At 17.30, one of the most famous Russian electronic musicians, DJ Groove, will perform for hockey fans. The multimedia 3D opening show will begin at 18.00. After the ceremony, the stands await the match young stars: three-time champion of the tournament CSKA (Moscow) against Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl). During breaks from the meeting, fans will be treated to an interactive program.
By tradition, tickets for the ceremony and opening match can be obtained free of charge at the Kassir.ru box office. Attending matches in the group stage of the competition and the playoffs will be free.

A record number of participants was announced for the XII International Hockey Tournament for children's teams "Gazprom Neft Cup".
In 2018, 26 teams from six countries will play in the tournament.
For the first time, a team from Germany, Jung Adler Mannheim, will perform at the venues of the West group.
A team from the Primorsky Territory, Admiral Vladivostok, will make its debut in the Vostok group.
The largest competitions in Europe in the U-11 age category will be held in Sochi and Omsk.

The Gazprom Neft Cup is one of the largest international children's hockey tournaments in Europe, held on a divisional model. KHL children's teams in the age category up to 11 years old take part in the competition. The tournament is held in two groups - West and East.
The tournament is 11 years old!
For the first time in the 11-year history of the Gazprom Neft Cup, 27 teams from five countries - Finland, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia - took part in the tournament. The children's team of the Sochi club made its debut in the competition. In just 5 days of competition, 67 matches were played, almost 600 young hockey players took to the ice, and 432 goals were scored. Look decisive match 7,700 fans came to the Omsk Arena.

The tournament matches were held simultaneously in two cities - Omsk and Sochi. Games of the "West" group were hosted by olympic arenas: Bolshoi Sports Palace and Ice Palace"Iceberg". The matches of the Gazprom Neft Cup, the largest hockey competition in Europe for athletes in the age category up to 11 years old, aroused great spectator interest. April 22 solemn ceremony The opening and match between Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl) and CSKA (Moscow) at the Bolshoi Sports Palace were attended by more than 7,000 fans. On the same day, the meeting between the Omsk Avangard and the Chelyabinsk Traktor took place in the presence of 9,500 spectators.

The level of organization of the competition corresponds to large ones European tournaments. The main trophy of the competition was made by the same craftsmen who made the Gagarin Cup. Every year after the end of the tournament, the name of the winning team is applied to the Gazprom Neft Cup, and the prize is transferred to its new owner for a year. Before the start of the next Tournament to the current champion a copy of the trophy is awarded.

On April 26, the teams Salavat Yulaev (East group) and CSKA (West group) met in the Superfinal of the tournament. The owner of the main children's hockey trophy Europe and the title of three-time winner of the Gazprom Neft Cup went to CSKA, which won with a score of 3:0.
