ATTENTION! Applicants and their parents are allowed to participate in NRNU MEPhI events only upon presentation of a passport.

For children under 14 years old, an original birth certificate is required.

Qualifying round of the Olympiad is held in two forms: full-time (in Moscow and regional venues for the Olympiad, with possible travel by representatives of the central organizing committee) and correspondence using the Internet.

Final round of the Olympiad is held in person in Moscow and at regional venues for the Olympiad with mandatory attendance of representatives of the central organizing committee. Local co-organizers (regional universities, regional education departments, school administrations) provide premises, technical staff, and provide advertising for the Olympiad in the region. Olympic works are checked in Moscow by members of the central jury.

Preparation for the Olympics

From September 4 to November 20, 2017, free massive online courses will be held to prepare for the Olympics

Information about registering for courses will appear in this section.

These courses are held on the departmental portals of the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology of Natural Science Education of NRNU MEPhI pupils.mifi.ru, teachers.mifi.ru, and also individual video lectures are posted on the portal of the Network School of NRNU MEPhI ()

Due to the fact that the Olympiad is held in a dynamically changing field of knowledge, the materials are constantly updated and quickly become outdated. Video materials from previous years are losing their relevance to some extent.

Appeals

Appeals from participants in the final rounds of the 2017-2018 Olympics school year accepted within two days after publication of results. The appeal must indicate

  • surname, first name and patronymic of the participant,
  • registration number of the participant in the information system org.site,
  • Class,
  • writing site

If incomplete information is provided, the appeal is considered not filed and will not be considered.

When considering appeals, the appeal commission checks the correctness of the assessment of the participant’s work. As a result of re-checking, the participant's score may be increased, left unchanged, or lowered if errors are discovered that were not noticed during the initial check.

After consideration of the appeal by the appeal commission and approval of the response to the appeal by the Olympic organizing committee, the participant receives an answer according to e-mail to the address from which the appeal was filed (within 7 working days). A scan of the participant’s Olympiad work is attached to the answer.

The decision of the organizing committee based on the results of consideration of appeals is final.

The goal of the Olympiad is to promote scientific knowledge and develop students’ and schoolchildren’s interest in modern information technologies through solving practical problems in this area.

The main objectives of the correspondence Olympiad were stated:

identification and development of students' creative abilities;
stimulating interest in modern information technologies;
creating the necessary conditions to support gifted students

The holding of the correspondence Olympiad was preceded by an active information campaign on the Internet, as well as the work of the Organizing Committee to collect applications, check the submitted materials for the degree of compliance with the requirements specified in the Regulations, and the degree of independence in completing tasks.

A total of 40 applications were received for the competition. The results of processing applications showed the following results:

Composition of participants: college students - 27 teams (67.5%), university students - 13 teams (32.5%);

Geography of participation: Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Yekaterinburg

Based on the results of the work of the expert commission, the following works were recognized as the best:

University students:
