“I am satisfied with the level of fighting at this championship, and I can even say that here it was much higher than at the last European Championship,” noted Tedeev. “All weights fought well, although everything does not go smoothly - some link is stronger, which - something weaker."

Tedeev noted that a lot depended on the championship in Nazran, but its winners and prize-winners will have more than one test at international competitions. “This is being done in the interests of the national team,” noted the team’s head coach. “No one has yet secured a place on the team for the World Cup.”

The real excitement on the last day of the tournament was caused by the appearance of the champion of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Dagestani Sadulayev, who changed his weight to a heavier one - up to 97 kg. Until the final, “Russian Tank,” as he was nicknamed as a junior, did not give his opponents a single point. In the first fight, he won against Yuri Belonovsky - 10:0, then against Umar Kuldev - 12:0, in the quarterfinals with a score of 10:0 he quickly dealt with Stanislav Gadzhiev, and in the semifinals with a score of 11:0 he also won ahead of schedule against Tamerlan Rasuev .

In the final it was more difficult - Sadulaev managed to win against Vladislav Baytsaev only with a minimal margin in the score - 8:7. As Sadulayev noted after the fight, this would be a good lesson for him.

“I’m also a human and I have the right to make mistakes, so I don’t see anything wrong with the score 8:7,” Sadulayev noted. “This is a new weight for me, which means larger and more powerful opponents - it’s not very possible to pass through the legs, so we have to take speed. Plus, I didn’t compete for a long time after the Olympics, and this could also have an impact.”

On the pedestal, Sadulayev received from the hands of the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, a toy tank of impressive size, as well as the good news that he would soon become the owner of a brand new car.

“I didn’t expect this, to be honest,” admitted Sadulaev. “I had one toy at home, now there will be a new one. I think we can already start collecting a collection. However, it should immediately be noted that both were stopped professionally and in the shortest possible time.

The first “exit” on the carpet of fans happened on the starting day of the tournament during the fight between Zaurbek Sidakov (KhMAO-Alania) and Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov (Dagestan), which ended in the victory of the latter. In this case, the participants in the mass foray onto the carpet did not agree with the judges' decision. For the second time, towards the end of the tournament, the spectators and seconds did not like the behavior of the quarterfinal participant Shapiev, who, out of pain, began to perform not the most sporting techniques, striking Khetag Tsabolov on the head.

The Russian freestyle wrestling championship was marred by a mass brawl. The competition took place in the largest city in the Republic of Ingushetia, Nazran.

The riots began before the meeting, which represents Yakutia, and from Crimea. They managed to remove the athletes from the mat and were not injured.

The angry crowd was dissatisfied with the refereeing decisions during the battle (KhMAO-Alania) and from Dagestan.

As a result, the rioting fans were separated by security officers at the sports complex where the fight was held. They quickly subdued the participants in the fight and restored order in the arena. After which the fight continued. The winner as a result of the battle was the representative of Dagestan.

The head of the Republic of Ingushetia said that the authorities would strictly suppress attempts to violate the order of the Russian freestyle wrestling championship, calling the rioters “provocateurs.” His words are quoted.

“Fans must behave in a civilized manner. Respect the judges' decision. Those who disrupt order and jump onto the mat during fights can only be called provocateurs,” said the head of the region.

The President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR), Mikhail, noted that the incident with some fans coming onto the mat has been completely eliminated, the situation is under the control of the security service and there will be no more such disruptions.

“Unfortunately, emotions prevailed among some fans and a local incident occurred.

But nevertheless, the situation is now under control - everything is running smoothly, and the finals will begin soon.

We must pay tribute to the tournament organizers - the level of preparation for the tournament, reception, logistics and accommodation of competition participants is very high. It’s a pity that some hotheads, guided by emotions, showed themselves this way. But now everything has been localized, and the Russian championship continues,” R-Sport quotes Mamiashvili.

In total, 400 athletes from 45 regions take part in the 25th Russian Freestyle Wrestling Championship. The competition, which started on June 12, will last until the 14th.

Last year, there was also a scandal at the national championship in Yakutsk. Then representatives of the Dagestan national team, outraged by the allegedly unfair refereeing decision, decided to withdraw the team from the tournament.

As for mass riots among fans, such an incident is not the first in 2017.

In March, at the open MMA championship in the Republic of Dagestan, during a fight between a Russian mixed-style fighter and a local fighter Aziz Jumaniyazov, a massive fan brawl also occurred.

At the end of the second round of the fight, the opponents were on the ground, and Jumaniyazov, getting up from the floor, kicked his prone opponent. Mineev could not restrain himself and, instantly jumping up, struck the Dagestani in the head with his fist.

Just a couple of moments later, the ring was filled with fans who joined in the confrontation between the athletes. Even those spectators who were watching the fight from the balconies got involved in the brawl.

Another similar incident occurred in Rostov-on-Don during the fight for the PROFC mixed martial arts world title between local fighter Mikhail Kolobegoev and Dagestani Shamil Abdulkhalikov.

The Rostovite knocked out his opponent, immediately after which members of the Dagestan team entered the ring and started a fight.

As Vladimir Shamarov, president of the PROFC league, later said, the Makhachkala residents were not satisfied with the judge’s decision to hold an additional fourth round, since, in their opinion, their fellow countryman deserved to win after three rounds. Supporters of the Dagestani fighter, who overcame the fence, tried to beat Kolobegoev, but he stepped aside, and one of his team members was already under attack.

Later, the results of the fight were declared invalid due to refereeing errors.
