The Moscow Schoolchildren's Saturdays project offers city schoolchildren a wide range of opportunities to get acquainted with modern strategies, stimulates the interest of the younger generation in study and research, contributes to the formation of a high cultural and intellectual level of young Muscovites and the development of their creative potential.

Archeology is one of the most mysterious sciences. Science, glorified in the image of the famous Indiana Jones. Romance and accuracy, legends and scrupulous scientific analysis - these are the “whales” on which archeology rests. Many feature films have been made about archeology. But the plan of the screenwriter and director often pursues commercial goals aimed at a mass audience. In our lecture, our goal is to talk about archeology from the inside, to present it as a serious science with its discoveries and secrets. Material culture, cultural layer, reconstruction - these are some of the professional terms used by archaeologists. How to find the place where you need to dig, how to properly lay a pit, how, ultimately, to separate a scientific find from the trash at hand, and then restore it to present it in a museum exhibition? Having taken to the air for the first time at the age of two on a plane designed by her father, she was forever sick with the sky. Even before the war, Grizodubova became the first woman Hero of the Soviet Union for her flying successes. And during the war, she proved herself to be a brave warrior and an intelligent strategist. Not afraid to contradict high authorities for the sake of the interests of the common cause, she always defended the weak and unfairly disadvantaged. Her fame spread throughout the country. The project “Saturdays of a Moscow Schoolchild” opens a new fifth season. Traditionally, every weekend students will be able to attend free lectures, seminars, trainings, and participate in master classes, workshops and quests.

Heart of a Dog and Geography Problems

From September, schoolchildren can again participate in the popular project. The program of the new academic year has already started at the Russian University of Transport and the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkina. About 15 more universities will join them next weekend.

This Saturday, September 9, the rector of the Moscow University of Civil Aviation, Boris Eliseev, will talk about the aircraft of the present and future. At the same university, high school students will learn about how the development of aviation has affected the ecology of the planet.

From exploring the past to the professions of the future

In the program of the city educational project “University Saturdays” the technical direction is represented by the program. The guys listen to lectures on modern production and prepare to acquire the profession of the future at workshops at leading technical universities in Moscow.

Since 2017, the program has been launched for schoolchildren. At lectures, master classes and quests, high school students will learn about the basic laws of Moscow, the rights and responsibilities of the capital's residents.

In past academic year About 60 universities participated in the “University Saturdays” project. They held 2,425 events, which were attended by more than 122 thousand people. Over four years, over 340 thousand schoolchildren joined the project.

Find your profession

Students will also be helped to decide on their future profession. From September 11 to 15, the “Say Yes to Your Career!” event will be held for schoolchildren and college students. The career portal trainer will tell you about vacancies on the labor market, teach you how to properly write a resume and use modern methods of job search. On September 15, there will be a meeting where participants will learn how to behave correctly during an interview. On September 27, at the interactive lecture “What are you striving for?” listeners will learn how to understand the world of professions. To do this, they will undergo special testing and take part in game tasks.
