Champions League

Two rounds of the group stage have already been played in the main European Cup. Russian clubs are fighting with varying success - CSKA scored three points, beating Benfica away, but then lost at home to Manchester United with a crushing score of 1:4. The victory of the red-blues in the tournament is valued at 251.00.

Spartak has so far collected one point less in its basket, but has never lost, finishing the matches against Maribor and Liverpool with the same score of 1:1. The victory of the Russian champion in the tournament is estimated at 301.00.

As for the main favorites of the Champions League, Barcelona, which defeated Sporting and Juventus, is quoted by bookmakers at 7.00, but the main favorite among analysts remains Real Madrid with odds of 4.80.

The new head coach, Bayern, will win the European Cup for 7.50. Paris Saint-Germain, in last match which defeated the Munich team, is now listed at 5.60. View all other results and upcoming meetings.

On October 17, Spartak will host Seville at their home stadium. The Spanish team is a clear favorite with odds of 1.74, the match will end in a draw in 4.00, and the red and white will win in 4.96.

But CSKA is the favorite in the third round. An army team's victory in a home match with Basel is valued at 1.952, a draw is worth 3.64, and an away victory is worth 4.16 (see all match odds).

Europa League

In another European Cup, things are going much better for Russian clubs. Zenit takes first place in the group, beating Vardar and Real Sociedad. The final victory of the St. Petersburg team in the Europa League is estimated at odds of 21.00. Lokomotiv is also the leader in its group, but the railroad workers' chances of winning the trophy are much lower (91.00).

The main contenders for the trophy are London's Arsenal (6.30) and Milan (7.00). “Lazio” and “Villarreal” “stand” at 17.00. For other clubs, quotes are over 21.00.

On October 19, Zenit will host Rosenborg at home. The Russian club, according to quotes, is the clear favorite (1.37). The teams' chances of a draw are estimated at 4.96, while a Norwegian win is worth 10.50.

Loko, according to analysts, also has an advantage over the opponent in the upcoming meeting by 2.17. The game will end in a draw in 3.32, and Sheriff will win in 3.76.

World Cup 2018

In October, the final composition of participants in the world championship, which will be held in Russia in 2018, will become known. In the European selection, it is worth noting the Dutch team, which risks missing out on a major tournament for the second time in a row.

On October 7, Dick Advocaat's team will play away against Belarus, and on October 10 at home against Sweden. The Orange's chances of taking one of the first two places in Group A are estimated at 8.00. For 1.08 you can bet that the Netherlands will not even qualify for the play-offs.

In Group I, four teams are vying to reach the finals: Croatia, Iceland, Turkey and Ukraine. The chances of Andrey Shevchenko's team to finish in the top two are quoted as 3.05. You can bet on the Ukrainians winning the group for 7.50 (see all odds for tournament outcomes). In the remaining two rounds, Ukraine will play away against Kosovo and at home against Croatia.

Passions are also running high on the South American continent. Argentina on this moment only gets into play-offs. However, bookmakers doubt that the World Cup will take place without Lionel Messi. The coefficient of 1.40 evaluates the Argentines' access to the World Cup directly, 4.00 - through the play-offs, for 10.00 you can bet on the Albiceleste not qualifying for the final part of the tournament.

The Russian national team is increasing its strength in anticipation of the World Cup friendly matches. On October 7, Cherchesov's players will play with South Korea, and on the 10th – with Iran. In both cases, bookmakers consider the Russians to be favorites. Their victory over the Koreans is “worth” 1.85, over Iran – 2.00.

In the main English division, two clubs from Manchester go head to head - City and United, which have scored 19 points in seven rounds. But in terms of the championship, the “citizens” are confidently ahead with odds of 1.70. Jose Mourinho's team will become champions in 3.80.

Chelsea's chances of defending the title are estimated at 8.50. Tottenham are listed at 13.00, Liverpool and Arsenal at 25.00.

Bundesliga

Bayern had a very weak start to the season by their standards. Both in the Champions League and in the Bundesliga. As a result, Carlo Ancelotti lost his post, and Munich's championship bids are growing.

Gold medals for Bayern already cost 1.40. Borussia Dortmund, leading the championship by five points, is quoted at 3.15. The remaining teams are unlikely to interfere in the championship race - their trophy is valued with odds of 29.00 and above.

Serie A

In the Italian championship, bookmakers have identified two main contenders for gold medals: Napoli is in the lead after seven rounds, but analysts, out of habit, expect Juventus to win the championship (2.00), the Neapolitans are quoted at 2.38. Roma will win in 15:00, and Inter in 17:00.

League 1

Paris Saint-Germain leaves no chance for its competitors - the gold of Neymar and company in the French Championship “costs” a mere 1.04. The closest competitor, Monaco, is already listed at 15.00, Lyon at 65.00...

Primera

If Barcelona does not leave Examples along with Catalonia, then the blue garnets have a good chance of winning the championship. Barça is five points ahead of its closest rival, and Real Madrid is seven points ahead. The Catalan championship is valued at 1.55, and Real Madrid at 2.48. The chances of Atlético Madrid are estimated at 17.00.

RFPL

If you believe the bookmaker's lists, there is practically no intrigue in the Russian championship. Zenit loses points in the match with Anzhi, but this does not affect the championship chances of the team from St. Petersburg. The victory of the St. Petersburg team in the championship is valued at 1.20.

Lokomotiv, which is in second place, is already estimated at odds of 8.50. “Krasnodar” and CSKA “stand” at 20.00 (see all odds).

On October 22, we will have a derby of two capitals between the clubs - CSKA will host Zenit. The guests are favorites at 2.36. A victory for the red-blues will increase the bet by 3.28 times, and the match will end in a draw for 3.34.

Due to the unsatisfactory results of Spartak, bookmakers began to accept bets on changing the head coach in the red and white team. The dismissal of Massimo Carrera in the 2017/18 season is quoted at 2.75. And it is proposed to bet 4.00 on the fact that Spartak will terminate the contract with the Italian before December 20, 2017.

The Continental regular season is in full swing. hockey league. The main contenders for the Gagarin Cup are still the same – SKA (2.42) and CSKA (3.90).

The chances of other clubs are significantly lower. “Ak Bars” is quoted at 6.65, “Salavat Yulaev” at 8.90. Magnitogorsk “Metallurg” is already “standing” at 14.00, Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv” at 17.00.

The world's main club starts on October 5 hockey tournament. Analysts consider the current Stanley Cup winner, the Pittsburgh Penguins, to be the tournament favorite.

The third trophy in a row for the team of Crosby and Malkin is valued at odds of 8.00.

Second is the Washington Capitals. If Alexander Ovechkin finally manages to lift the coveted cup over his head, a bet with odds of 8.80 will play.

Bookmakers also offer to bet on the best Russian bomber regular season. Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov is listed at 4.00. Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin and Vladimir Tarasenko from St. Louis “stand” at 5.00.

In October, the celebration will begin for fans of the world's main basketball league. True, bookmakers are not expecting intrigue from the new NBA season. If the odds are to be believed, the Golden State Warriors will win the tournament quite easily again. The victory of the team of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant is estimated at a small coefficient of 1.50.

Led by LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers are unlikely to win overall. It is suggested to bet on the Cavs for 5.00. The rest of the team has odds that are in the low tens: “Boston” with 9.700, “Houston Rockets” with 12.50, “San Antonio” with 13.00, and so on.

Euroleague

The 2017/18 Euroleague basketball season will start on October 12. Here the main contender for victory is Russian club. CSKA Moscow is quoted at 3.70. Current champion In Europe, Fenerbahce - for 4.40, and Real Madrid - for 4.50.

Formula 1

The main formula series is nearing its conclusion. In October, Formula 1 fans will enjoy three races: the Japanese Grand Prix (October 8), the US Grand Prix (October 22) and the Mexican Grand Prix (October 29).

Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes was already considered the favorite of the tournament, and in the last races the Briton strengthened his advantage. Now there is minimal doubt about Hamilton's victory. And the bookmakers too. They valued the next title for the driver with a coefficient of 1.08. Sebastian Vettel will need a miracle to close the gap and take first place. The miracle performed by the Ferrari representative is priced at 7.00.

Is there a chance for the Spanish Real Madrid to go down in the history of the tournament as the first team to take 1st place two years in a row, or will the UEFA Cup go to the Italians this time? Let's see.

June 12-18. European Diving Championships

We remind you that last year more than 20 countries took part in the tournament, and according to medal count Great Britain became the record holder (Italy took second place, and Ukraine – third).

Another of the summer sporting events that cannot be missed is Team Championship Europe by athletics 2017. Teams from all over the world will gather in one city, Lille (France), and over two days will compete for team points in 40 athletics disciplines.

June 17 – July 2 Confederations Cup

Confederations Cup 2017 is one of the most significant events year, since this tournament will allow the best of the best to perform. The competition will take place in four cities of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi) for almost two weeks. Eight national teams will take part in the so-called rehearsal before the World Cup.

Passed at four Russian cities- Sochi, Kazan, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Perhaps this was the last draw in the history of the tournament. At least in 2021, competitions with the participation of champions of their continents are not planned in Qatar. Well, what we saw in Russia in the summer deserves not a period, but an exclamation point.

For the first time at a tournament of this level, the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) system was used, and fans were able to see that video replays do not kill football at all, and if they slow it down, it is only for a short time. A minute's pause is a very reasonable price to pay so that the judges can understand the controversial episode in detail. There have definitely been fewer glaring errors, and since the new season VAR has been used in several leading championships. So the Confederations Cup became the first chapter in new era such a conservative sport as football.

From the point of view of the organization of the tournament, it seems that even the eternally dissatisfied English journalists had no complaints. Four luxurious new stadiums that were filled even at fights with not the most attractive signs. The average attendance at the matches was 39,269 spectators - FIFA honestly admitted that they did not even count on such high interest.

Well, the impressions of the fans themselves are most clearly evidenced by the large-scale marketing research that Nielsen conducted after the Confederations Cup among more than 10 thousand people who attended the matches. 98 percent of spectators said they enjoyed it, and 91 percent were going to buy tickets for the 2018 World Cup. Even more impressive figures are that 80 percent of foreign fans admitted that their opinion of Russia improved after their trip to the Confederations Cup. And 60 percent of foreign guests said the tournament exceeded their expectations. Now all that remains is to confirm this level next summer, at the World Championships.

Queen of Heights

Athlete Maria Lasitskene is our queen in the high jump sector. The athlete spent the past year brilliantly, winning all the tournaments in which she took part. Her unbeaten streak is 19 (!) victories in a row. She won her last on December 23 at the “Christmas starts” in Minsk (according to sports calendar already in the new winter season), once again breaking the 2-meter mark.

Maria broke world records both indoors and in the stadium (2.08 and 2.09, respectively) several times, but in all attempts she knocked down the bar. However, the athlete’s other achievements are also impressive. Lasitskene defended her world champion title, which she won before her marriage under the name Kuchina. In London, she showed a result of 2.03 and became the first Russian woman in history to win gold twice in the high jump at the World Championships. At the Diamond League, Masha also performed the brightest: she jumped 2.06, 13 cm ahead of her closest competitor.

Our strong point

Figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva collected all the titles on the ice for two years - world champion, European champion, winner of the Grand Prix final. She has earned the title of world star and favorite status Olympic Games. She jumped the most difficult cascades, set world records for the number of points and was considered invincible and invulnerable. But she ended up in a cast. Due to a leg injury, Zhenya was forced to withdraw from the Grand Prix final and the Russian Championship. Probably to fans of Russian figure skating one could start to panic. But not in this case. Firstly, Medvedeva has such a character that she is not used to giving up, and she definitely will not miss the main starts of the season. And secondly, Medvedeva’s coach prepared another excellent student - Alina Zagitova. She is only 15, but she became the brightest debutant of the adult season, winning the Grand Prix final and the Russian championship. Zhenya and Alina train together, but have never really competed with each other. It will be all the more interesting to watch their fight at the European Championships in January.

The best at the grid

Volleyball players have achieved great success both at the national team level and in international club competitions. Our national team With the new head coach Sergei Shlyapnikov, four years later she won the European Championship, held in Poland. In a dramatic finale, the German team was defeated - 3:2.

Kazan "Zenit" under the leadership of Vladimir Alekno achieved double success - in the spring they won the Champions League title for the third time in a row, and in December, on the sixth attempt, they finally won the Club World Championship, this time held in Poland.

The gala evening of the European Volleyball Confederation was organized for the first time in Moscow. Prize best player The same Mikhailov received the Old World award, Alekno was awarded as the best mentor on the continent.

Wait for us in Korea

Russia is going to the Olympics. This is, perhaps, one of the main results of the past year, which was marked for our athletes by defending their good name and, alas, by an unequal fight with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), which put unprecedented pressure on the International Olympic Committee, forcing him to impose strict restrictions on Russian athletes.

Russia's participation in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, was in question due to unsubstantiated accusations against our athletes. At the same time, WADA failed to implement the plan to completely exclude Russians from the Games. Representatives of our country will perform in Pyeongchang without Russian symbols on their uniforms and without the sounds of the national anthem at ceremonies, under the emblem “Olympic athletes from Russia.” But they will compete, and their nationality will still be officially established.
