Australian athletes achieved their greatest achievements in swimming. This can be explained by the peculiar geographical location and local mentality, where every local resident has a special attitude towards water and everything connected with it. About 150 thousand people go swimming in this country. Not long ago, water polo began to actively develop. The issue of physical education is very important for Australians, which is why schools and universities in the country pay great attention to physical education. Schoolchildren and students from Australia are engaged in physical training at least 5 hours a week under the guidance of experienced trainers. Classes are divided into 2 components: general physical training and individual special types sports In some schools in the country, preference is given to gymnastics, in others - boxing, rugby or swimming.
