I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1 Rhythmic gymnastics competition Open tournament “Step to Olympus” (hereinafter referred to as the competition) is held in accordance with the Calendar plan for physical education and sports events of the Moscow region for 2017, approved by Ministry Order No. 21-299-r dated December 29, 2014 “On approval Calendar plan for physical education and sports events in the Moscow region for 2017.”

1.2 The main objectives of the competition are:

Popularization and development of rhythmic gymnastics in the Moscow region;

Promoting a healthy lifestyle, developing positive life attitudes among the younger generation;

Identifying the strongest athletes and teams, improving sportsmanship;

Exchange of experience of sports specialists;

Compliance with the category standards of the unified all-Russian sports classification.

At the Faculty of Pre-University Education, on October 30, 2017, a round table was held for teachers of partner schools on the topic “Problems of preparing students for Olympiads from the list of the Ministry of Education and Science.” This is the first meeting in the program of events to develop methodological support for the “Highest Standard” Olympiad.

“We are interested in improving the methodological support of the Olympiad and supporting individual support of gifted children with the help of the Olympiad,” - the thesis stated at the beginning of the event by the head of the department for work with applicants N.Yu. Konasova, became the determining position of the entire round table. In their speeches, teachers from various disciplines shared their methodological developments in organizing classroom and extracurricular forms of education, technologies for developing a situation of success, and identifying talented children.

A talented, gifted child. How to find it? Where to begin?

Teacher of Russian language and literature, GBOU secondary school No. 547, Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg O.V. Ciobanu shared the visualization method that she uses to work with primary schoolchildren in order to “catch” their attention and motivate them to engage in intellectual activity. The teacher, immersing schoolchildren in the world of cinema, analyzing in detail how the frame is constructed, what feelings, according to the director’s plan, the characters experience, uses this approach when reading literary texts.

This teacher’s step-by-step algorithm for working with talented children includes:

Step 1 – primary analysis. The children, having looked at the work, mark those tasks that they can complete independently.

Step 2 – search for reference material.

Step 3 – selection of information.

Step 4 – constructing answers. If the Olympiad is a test, then choose the correct answer from those proposed. If the Olympiad requires a complete answer, we correct the ready-made answer.

Step 5 – registration of work.

Step 6 – submitting work

Children who like to perform Olympiad tasks, who are not afraid of difficulties and are ready to overcome them, will be able to develop the abilities inherent in them by nature.

How to organize work with talented children, turning it into an “intellectual” activity? Teacher of history and social studies, State Budgetary Educational Institution Secondary School No. 45, Primorsky District I.A. Luchko revealed her path of working with gifted children:

Identification of a gifted child

·Formation of a system of value guidelines

·Creating a circle of associates and like-minded people based on emerging values

·Joint intellectual activity, participation in project implementation

·Participation in the Olympic movement

·Teacher-guide in the world of ideas

Life success of a gifted child

How can a school organize an educational space for preparing gifted children? Methodologist, mathematics teacher at GBOU gymnasium No. 293 of the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg T.V. Gromova told how to introduce economic education through the integration of the additional general development program “Journey to the World of Economics” (8-11 years old), the extracurricular activity program “Fundamentals of Economics” (grades 5-6), the additional education program “Business People’s Club” (7- 10th grade), that is, when combined different forms extracurricular activities and additional education based on students’ free choice of classes in different programs. HSE teacher N.V. Gross demonstrated to teachers a set of textbooks on economics, as well as a system of work to develop skills in practical solving economic and mathematical problems.

The participants exchanged experience in creating conditions for the development of children’s abilities, the practice of achieving high results in the Olympics.

Summing up, Dean of the Faculty of Education L.V. Grekova spoke about the possibilities and features of the “Highest Standard” Olympiad, the conditions for admission to the university and noted that “The “Highest Standard” Olympiad tasks in 22 subjects are united by a common structure (test and creative parts), the student has redundancy of choice, as well as independence of assessment results, which gives him the opportunity to make his own tests and determine his future professional path and independently prepare for it.”

At the round table, the main task of further work of the formed creative group was determined, the solution of which involves the creation in the future of long-term individual and group programs preparing students for the “Highest Test” Olympiad, starting from the 7th grade.

The materials of the round table can be found on the HSE website

Material prepared by L.V. Grekova, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Education
