Chairman of the Belarusian Tennis Federation. Belarusian Tennis Federation. The procedure for organizing medical support

Since 1991, after the collapse of the USSR and the declaration of its independence, the Republic of Belarus has become an independent state not only in the international political arena, but also in the sports arena. In 1992. The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus joined the International Olympic Committee (IOC), thereby becoming a full member of the world sports family.

The public association "Belarusian Tennis Association" was founded in 1993. Since the same year, she has been a full member of Tennis Europe and the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

Thanks to this, since 1994, the national tennis teams of the Republic of Belarus have had the opportunity to represent their country at the world level in the Davis Cup (world championship among men's teams) and the Fed Cup (world championship among women's teams).
In 1995, for the first time in the history of Belarusian tennis, the Belarusian Tennis Association, with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Belarus, held a men's professional ITF tournament of the “Satellite” series with a total prize fund of 12,500 US dollars. This tournament was held twice more - in 1996 and 1997, after which, in 1998 and 1999, the Belarusian Tennis Association began to hold another similar tennis tournament among professionals, but this time in the “Futures” series with a prize fund of 15,000 US dollars.

Since 1996, at the end of October, the Belarusian Tennis Association, on the basis of the National Center of the Republic of Belarus for Tennis and Table Tennis, traditionally holds another ITF tennis competition - an international professional women's tournament with a prize fund of 10,000 US dollars, which today has become a kind of springboard into professional tennis not only for Belarusian, but also some world stars, and since 2004, the tournament has increased the prize fund to 25,000 US dollars. Starting in 2005, a women's tournament with a prize fund of 10,000 US dollars began to be held in April, and in September, 2 men's tournaments of the “Futures” series were held with a total prize fund of 30,000 US dollars.

In addition, since 1996, the Belarusian Tennis Association has annually held zonal games as part of the European Team Indoor Junior Championships.

The Belarusian Tennis Association pays a lot of attention not only to professional tennis, but also to amateur tennis. The republic hosts a large number of various competitions for veterans and simply fans of this sport. For example, every year at the end of May, two International tournaments are held among veterans and tennis fans - in Baranovichi and Minsk - in which everyone over the age of 35 can take part.
