Fishing in muddy water. Fishing in spring: in muddy water. Why do women, men and girls dream of catching fish with their hands?

The characteristics of the reservoir are the main factor determining success or failure fishing. Tackle, bait and even the weather play secondary roles, which are traditionally greatly exaggerated, without any malicious intent, but mainly for self-hypnosis: if you know how to fish, you will catch anywhere. Most fishermen, including those who write on their favorite topic, explain periods of “no biting” by saying that the fish simply have no appetite, that it is “sick” from continuous pressure changes. There is some truth in this, but it is by no means significant and, in my opinion, has little effect on the filling of the fisherman’s cage. Water, or more precisely, its features, are the roots and origins of our victories and defeats.

The first and very long years the only author who began his story about the wisdom of fishing with a description of the waters where fish are found was S.T. Aksakov. His numerous followers began their reasoning, if not with the design of a fishing rod, then with a listing of the species composition of fish - on a global scale - necessarily. And I was recently pleasantly surprised to read a book by an obvious amateur in fishing (the author does not hide this), who either intuitively (because he is an amateur) or with professional instinct (the author is a geographer by profession) put the first and main place in his book characteristics of the reservoirs into which he had a chance to cast his fishing rod. I, of course, mean the book by V. Fedorov “For pike, asp, bream” (Moscow, 1996). I advise you to read it.

All other authors, including foreign ones, limit themselves to describing those areas of reservoirs where fish are most often caught. But there is a rule that experienced fishermen know, and venerable authors mention, but somehow in passing, without giving it serious importance! The best fishing is in muddy water. Conversely, excessive water transparency is often the reason for unsuccessful fishing.

This rule is universal: it applies to all types of fish, including salmon, and to all continents. The author was convinced of its validity in the reservoirs of China, Hungary and Canada. Not to mention the CIS countries. And the essence of the rule is that even if a fish lives in crystal clear water (here it is, we see it!), this does not mean at all that it will willingly take your bait in the same water. But as soon as you throw your worm to a place where you can’t see either fish or pebbles on the bottom, you’ll get a confident bite.

The best water for fishing is clean, but turbid water of a yellowish or greenish color with visibility not exceeding 30-50 cm. “Clean turbidity” is suspensions of clay, lime and bottom sediments. Fish feel very comfortable and safe in such water. (Conversely, she is uncomfortable in clear water, and even if nothing threatens her, she strives to find some kind of shelter.) Such water occurs in reservoirs with a clay or limestone bed and, under the influence of the current for underwater springs, retains its opacity for a period of time. all year round. In such waters there is practically no lack of biting; even large fish lose their caution and are caught close to the shore.

But I want to emphasize that the water should be cloudy not from flood and other dirt and not from “flowers,” but by its nature. You can safely drink this water without boiling it. Unfortunately, in the Moscow region, reservoirs with such water are quite rare, and water of the required “consistency” and color can only be found in the short spring period, which, coupled with the pre-(post) spawning glut of fish, brings the most impressive catches. “Black” water indicates a peat bed in a river or lake and is always clear.

Cloudy, i.e. The water becomes opaque for one more reason: from an excess of oxygen, the effect of “sparkling water” is obtained, which fish are very fond of. That is why in rivers with a flow speed of more than 0.5 m/sec, as well as in areas below dams, there are practically no “dead seasons” for fishing.

In most reservoirs (including the Moscow region), the water remains clear most of the year. How negatively this affects the bite is especially clear in the so-called crucian carp reservoirs. At one time, at my summer cottage, I dug two holes nearby for a reserve supply of water. In one, the water remains clear all summer, in the other, the water is cloudy. Probably, while digging it, I “caught” some kind of aquifer. I put rotans into both holes and sometimes “hold” crucian carp in them. So, I often perform “demonstration” fishing in front of my friends: I pull a fish out of a hole with muddy water using a jig. No matter how much I tried to catch it in the next hole, nothing worked. Approximately the same picture emerges at two neighboring “crucian carp” ponds, in the same Barybino, for example. Although there are other factors at play here.

Wind also creates turbidity (opacity) in water. “Ripples” in the water - and the bite improves significantly. Well, you can get record results from the surf shore. What do fishermen do? They rush to move to the leeward shore, to the “quiet”, and leave with “zeros”, complaining about capricious fish and natural metamorphoses. By the way, the so-called surfing, popular on the sea coasts, is based on the wind. Breaking waves create the very “dregs” into which fish willingly move. Well, I was convinced that the north wind is not an enemy, but an ally of the fisherman, while spending holidays on southern shores Ladoga, Ilmen and Baikal.

But no wind helps in the pre-estuary sections of rivers flowing into the seas of the Arctic Ocean. The fish don't bite there at all. The reason, in my opinion, is still the same: the flow of predominantly lowland rivers slows down so much (there is almost no flow, the river barely “breathes”) that the water acquires that same “harmful” transparency. This does not happen on the mountain rivers of the Caucasus. Here the estuaries are the muddiest and most catchy places.

Today, only fly fishermen are convinced that water transparency is an unmasking factor that greatly complicates fishing: they will definitely go into water up to their ankles. Well, what to do in cases where there is no wind, the water is clear, and near the shore there is viscous peat, salt marsh, or, even worse, “nyasha”? I can give you only one recipe - lie down!

Once I went fishing in a salt marsh lake in southern Kalmykia. According to information, carp were found in it. In the lake, framed by stunted reeds, the water was absolutely transparent, and no signs of life were observed in it. Having been bored for about an hour under the scorching sun and with absolute calm, I lay down to rest. Not even a minute had passed when, with my peripheral vision, I noticed the disappearance of the float. I managed to hook it, and the carp ended up in my hands. I cast the fishing rod again, I sit - nothing, lay down - a decisive bite follows. I did this “procedure” many times and returned to base with a good catch.

But an even more clear lesson in how to fish in clear water was taught to me by chubs. This fish often drove not only Aksakov, but also the author of these lines into despair. I also caught the time when chubs were found in the Vora (the left tributary of the Klyazma and the favorite “Aksakov” river). And then one hot summer day I see a familiar picture: chubs are standing like an army on parade at the command “Attention!” and they don’t pay any attention to me, or rather, to the attachment I offer. To be honest, I cast the bait rather out of inertia, without any hope of success. I have my own scores to settle with chubs, and on occasion I will share my experience of catching them with the reader.

And here, another 50 meters upstream, a “cheerful” group of men and women of different ages and their children settled down and began to do what they should do near the water on a hot summer day. They swam for so long and vigorously that the breaking wave began to wash away the shore on which I was sitting, and a thick stream of white foam stretched along the river’s core.

And the chub bit! Catching even one kilogram chub is an excellent result at all times and in all countries. It is basically impossible to “catch” a chub. But catching a chub in such “unsanitary” conditions...

In general, I had reason to think. And I made the right conclusion: if you artificially muddy the water upstream from the fishing site, the chances of success seriously increase. Sometimes “bait” made from clay balls alone is enough.

Everything I talked about fully applies to ice fishing. In the “wilderness”, look for muddy water. Well, if you drill a hole exactly along the border of clear and muddy water, then it will seem to you that you are again sitting on the “first ice”.

Interpretation of dreams from

Description of the page: “Why do you dream of fishing in troubled waters” from professionals for people.

Every dream contains some hidden meaning or prophecy. Catching fish in a dream is a special sign, the interpretation of which is offered by different dream books. For the most part, the meaning of this night image is associated with responsible affairs, new projects and important achievements. However, there are other interpretations. In any case, dreaming about fish is good. Such a dream often promises pregnancy for women, and financial well-being and prosperity for men.

Fishing in a dream according to Vanga’s dream book

Fishing in Vanga’s dream book has special meaning. The interpretation of such a dream varies depending on the details of what was seen.

For example, fishing in clear water means good news. According to Vanga’s dream book, this image foreshadows:

  • good luck;
  • professional success;
  • family joys;
  • happy changes in life.

When you dream of fishing in troubled waters, you should prepare for imminent difficulties. It will be especially difficult to find like-minded people, associates, and reliable partners in real life.

A warning is a vision when the dreamer has to catch a fish without a head. The prophecy recommends not to fall into euphoria from the initial successful results. This could turn out bad.

If you catch fish in a dream, but it turns out to be without scales, then some health problems are likely. Such an image directly indicates the need to consult a doctor with your ailments or undergo a routine examination for prevention.

Catching fish: Freud's dream book and its interpretation

In Freud's dream book, fishing is interpreted in a very original way. Such night vision, according to the legendary psychologist, reflects the psychological state of the dreamer. In his understanding, a living fish is identified with the male genital organ. Moreover, a quivering catch indicates the erect state of the penis. Accordingly, fishing, according to Freud’s dream book, directly refers to the sexual act itself.

If the dreamed fish turns out to be dead, then this is a sign of lack of erection or even impotence. In Freud's dream book, catching a fish and holding it while still alive in your own hands means a tendency towards self-satisfaction.

When you dream about fish big size, then you shouldn’t place high hopes on your own efforts. It is believed that they will be empty and ineffective. However, the interpretation of such a dream still insists on trying to do something and try to change the result.

Why do you dream about fishing? Seeing the process itself in a dream, according to Freud’s dream book, denotes difficulties of a sexual nature. It is likely that in bed it is difficult for a person to relax when being next to his partner. Sexual intercourse does not give him pleasure.

Sometimes if you dream about fishing, it is a warning about the necessary rest. You need to immediately adjust your daily routine.

Catching a lot of fish in a dream means a chaotic and disordered sex life. If you had to fish in a dream and didn’t catch anything, then this indicates certain phobias associated with the opposite sex. You are probably afraid to enter into intimate relationships because you are overcome by fear of sex. It is likely that the dreamer is simply afraid of not meeting the expectations of his sexual partner.

According to Freud's dream book, pulling a fish out of the water is a good sign. It promises the dreamer a new addition to the family. Most likely, in the near future he will have a child or grandchild.

Miller's Dream Book: catching fish - various interpretations

Fishing in a dream: what could such a dream mean according to Miller’s dream book? This interpreter offers his own view of such an image. Do you see live fish? Is she splashing in clean water? This is a good sign! According to Miller’s dream book, such a fish means:

  • happy, mutual love;
  • getting wealth;
  • generous gifts;
  • professional success.

In Miller’s dream book, fishing with nets is a special image. It portends successful overcoming of difficult trials. The difficulties will turn out to be so serious that they can significantly undermine the dreamer’s condition or completely break him.

If in a dream you do not catch fish, but buy it at the market, then this is an excellent omen. Probably, very soon harmony and prosperity will come to your life. The dream promises joy, financial wealth and the beginning of positive changes in the dreamer's life.

Fishing in a dream and not catching anything means, according to Miller’s dream book, the unfulfillment of desires. It is likely that the hopes that the dreamer has are not destined to come true.

Seeing a fish in a dream when someone else is catching it is a warning. Perhaps fate will prepare serious trials in the near future. However, you should not be afraid of them, since the dreamer will solve all problems and successfully overcome any difficulties.

Catch a big fish in a dream according to Longo's dream book

Catching a big fish, according to Longo’s dream book, is good luck. Catching a big fish in a dream means success and prosperity. All things will be successful, and all wishes will come true.

According to Longo’s dream book, catching a big fish is an important sign for women. This image can be interpreted as a possible pregnancy. That is why, if becoming a mother is not part of the dreamer’s plans, she should be careful. When a young girl caught a fish in a dream, she should expect victories on the love front in the near future. Moreover, the dream can promise a happy marriage with an attractive young man.

However, there are other interpretations in Longo’s dream book: fishing in some situations is a prophecy that foreshadows disappointment, deception, falsehood, and danger.

Why do you dream about fishing according to Hasse’s dream book?

Why do you dream of catching a big fish according to Hasse’s dream book? Catching fish in a dream is a negative image, according to Hasse. If a person in his night dreams does not catch fish, but buys it, then favorable changes in the dreamer’s life are not planned in the near future. Catching a large fish with a fishing rod in a dream means an upcoming important event or business. But catching a very small fish in a dream means, according to Hasse’s dream book, poor health and illness.

A dream in which a person sees not catching fish, but a ready-made dish from it, predicts winnings and good luck. It is likely that you will get lucky in the lottery and the cash prize will be quite large.

If you dream of catching fish with your hands, especially by the tail, then this dream can be interpreted as a negative image. Perhaps an ill-wisher, an envious person, or a real enemy will appear in the dreamer’s life. However, there is no need to be afraid of him. This problem can be dealt with in no time.

Fishing in a dream, according to Loff’s dream book, is an unstable symbol. It can be interpreted in different ways. Most often, the image is “tied” to the ability to conceive a child and his upcoming birth.

Loff's dream book interprets dreams about fishing according to Freud's principle. However, he identifies the catch not only with the phallus, but also with a material state. According to Loff's dream book, catching fish in a dream is good. Probably, the dreamer may go on a trip or journey in the near future. You can also interpret such a dream as the satisfaction of material needs.

A fish in a dream is a multifaceted image. That is why it cannot be interpreted unambiguously. The main thing is to remember that thoughts are material, and not to despair if the interpretation from the dream book turns out to be negative!

The mystery of the night always arouses interest: magical content is attributed to night visions; the most unusual and magical things happen under the cover of darkness. People transfer this attitude to dreams, since what happens to a person in a dream causes bewilderment and misunderstanding. A dream in which there is a harpoon speaks of interest in your person by the opposite sex. Catching fish with a harpoon in a dream promises pleasant adventures on the love front. Men dream of this as memories of fishing, and women, according to Freud, should prepare for pregnancy.

What does it mean to catch fish in a dream, let go, not catch, eat it

If the caught fish is released, you will lose the chance for prosperity or the opportunity that you have long dreamed of. There may be problems conceiving offspring.

Catching large, beautiful and big fish means that a woman already knows which guy to choose from and vice versa. Eating fish in a dream means you need to rest properly in order to cope with problems.

In a dream, catch fish with a dead person, with a net (nets, mesh), spinning rod, with a worm, with a pike fishing rod (in winter), with your hands, under water

If a dead person appears in a dream, this is not good. Sometimes a dead person or a corpse while fishing means that you should go to church. Gear or nets dream of cunning plans that may come true. Fishing alone always leads to success in any business.

Fishing with a spinning rod and a large catch speak of the successful completion of any business, including the most hopeless. Catching fish with a worm in a dream symbolizes good health and financial well-being. Catching with hands, a net or a fishing rod is an unambiguous symbol of generating income or for a new child.

Why catch fish in a dream with a net, from the ice?

Fishing on ice always means getting sick, and using a net means that you should expect a reward for the work done.

Fishing in troubled waters or fishing in troubled waters. This phrase can often be heard in modern life. What does it mean, what do they want to say when using it?

This statement refers to a situation where a person “fogs in”, achieves his own well-being by dishonest means, or takes advantage of someone else’s difficulties. I wonder where this saying came from, because it didn’t appear out of the blue?

It is well known that the ancestors of many peoples lived in fishing. And, of course, they used nets to catch, and to get caught in the net more fish, they muddied the waters. She lost the ability to navigate and fell into a trap.

In literary works, this expression is first found in the Greek fabulist Aesop. He has a fable in which a fisherman muddies the waters to get a rich catch.

“The fisherman was fishing in the river. He stretched out his net to block the current from bank to bank, and then tied a stone to a rope and began to hit the water with it, scaring the fish so that, while fleeing, they would suddenly get caught in the net. One of the local residents saw him doing this and began to scold him for muddying the river and not allowing them to drink clean water. The fisherman answered: “But if I hadn’t muddied the river, I would have had to die of hunger!”

Of course, every fable contains a moral. In this fable it is like this:

“So demagogues in states live best when they manage to create unrest in their fatherland.”

As you can see, the meaning and essence of this expression is the same as in the modern world.

Here's another poem about the benefits of fishing in troubled waters. It was written in the 18th century by Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart. It's called "Trout".

frolicking in a bright stream,

The cheerful trout flew like an arrow.

I stood on the shore and watched with emotion

While swimming a nimble fish in a clean stream.

One fisherman with a fishing rod stood on the shore

And he watched dispassionately as the fish twirled around.

As long as the water is clear enough, I thought,

The fisherman cannot catch a trout with his hook.

However, apparently, the scoundrel was tired of wasting time.

He muddied the water of the stream, and before I had time to come to my senses,

How the fish fluttered on his hook,

And I looked excitedly at the deceived creature.

Honore de Balzac also writes about fishing in troubled waters in his novel “Balamutka”. Child labor was common then, and the girl had to muddy the water in the streams, scaring the fish and crabs, driving them into nets in order to get a good catch.

All these examples show that indeed fish in troubled waters easy because she doesn't see fishing gear. And if we ignore fishing, then in another broader meaning we get that by taking advantage of the confusion, vanity, confusion of others, you can benefit for yourself.
