It was clear that everyone fought and wanted to do their best for the team and the country. Someone had misfires... And this, of course, makes me sad.

We took 10th place and did not make it into the coveted top nine, which remains in the Super League. On the one hand, we are among the ten strongest teams in Europe, on the other hand, we were literally 8 points short of remaining in the Super League.

We will analyze everything that happened. There is a generational change in the team, and it takes time for our youth to improve in adult sports. The European Athletics Team Championships ended in Lille. Format The team championship provides that one athlete (or a team in a relay) is represented from each team in each discipline. For each place taken by an athlete, points are awarded to the team standings. Number of points depends on the number of athletes in the discipline - that is, in our case, for the first place of one athlete the team receives 11 points, for the following places - one point less, that is, 10, 9 and so on.

Following the results of the last championship, 12 teams were supposed to compete in the Super League, but... At the end of three days of the tournament, two teams are relegated to the First League, and the top three are promoted from there. If Russia's disqualification is lifted, next championship she will start from the First League.

The Ukrainian national team has never been relegated from the Super League since 2009, when the tournament was reformatted (until this year the competition was separate for the men's and women's teams, now it is a joint competition).
