Team battles. Full combat readiness: the third season of Ladder! Final stage prize fund

It was devoted to general information about the innovations in team battles in update 9.7. The second and final article contains more specifics.

Creating a static command

Creating a team is available to every World of Tanks player. Just go to the “Team Battle” game mode, select the “Play on Ladder” tab, and then click on the “Create a team” button. After this, you can send invitations to join the team to players you are interested in.

You can send no more than 20 invitations at the same time.

A static team can consist of up to 12 people. Players on the team have different ranks:

  • team owner;
  • Officer;
  • private.

The owner of the team becomes the player who created it. The table below details the available credentials for all positions.

  • Participation in battles.
  • Leaving the team

To disband a team, you must first remove all other players from it, and then leave it yourself.

A team can have any number of officers and enlisted men, but only one player can be the team owner.

The player who assembled the team is considered a commander and has the right to recruit a team for battle, switch between rating battles (battles on the ladder) and regular battles.

The principle of moving a team from division to division

Based on the results of battles in the ladder, the static team earns rating points. The team’s position in the global ladder depends on the number of rating points.

The infographic below shows the mechanism for moving static teams across divisions.

New rewards

For effective actions, the team will receive special medals, which will appear in update 9.7. Please note that all conditions for issuing medals involve fighting as part of a static team.

gave the “Team Battle” game mode a second wind: the new “Attack/Defense” format added dynamics to the battles and made them truly interesting and exciting.

It's time for the next step in the development of team battles.

Changes in update 9.7

With the release of version 9.7 in World of Tanks it will be possible to create a permanent (static) team to participate in team battles. Data about such a command will be stored on the server.

A static team has its own name and logo. It can consist of up to 12 tankers. You can join or leave a team at any time.

To get into the ladder, a team must play one ranked battle. In this case, the minimum number of players (team members) required to get into a rating battle is 7 people.

Before going into battle, the commander will have the opportunity to choose the type of battle: normal or ladder battle.

  • Regular fight- a match in team battle mode between national teams or static teams. If the static team does not have enough fighters, it is possible to use the search for legionnaires - players who join the static team only for the duration of a few regular battles.
  • Ladder fight - a duel in team battle mode between static teams. The type of combat must be confirmed by the commander. Ladder battles are available for lineups that only include static team members.

Ladder games take place exclusively between static teams. The opposing sides are balanced based on the ratings of the teams themselves, which is calculated based on success in ladder battles, regardless of the performance of individual fighters.

Thus, when selecting an opponent, the success of the team’s actions as a whole is taken into account - in battle, equals will meet equals.

A distinctive feature of ladder battles is the ability to choose a vehicle before the battle. Within 30 seconds before the start, players can choose tanks suitable for the map and the attacking or defending side.

Global ladder

By fighting in ladder battles, the static team thereby takes part in the global ladder (team rating).

The global ladder is the distribution of teams into leagues and divisions based on the number of points earned in rating battles. Ladder points are awarded based on the results of battles. You can move up the ladder only by earning or losing ladder points.

The global ladder is divided into 6 leagues with 4 divisions in each. Each division can contain an unlimited number of groups. A group can consist of up to 50 teams.

The transition from division to division depends on the number of points earned in ladder battles. But even with a minimum number of points, the team will in any case be included in one of the divisions - the lower division of the 6th League.

A static team can play against opponents from other groups/divisions/leagues if its rating allows it.

The global ladder is formed separately for each game season, which is held approximately once every three months. At the start of the season, the ratings of all teams are reset to zero. The results of previous seasons will not affect the starting rating value.

Important! Ladder battles are only available during game seasons.

We will provide more detailed information about future changes before the release of update 9.7. Follow the news!

So, what is remarkable about this type of combat, and what exactly it is, first things first.

With the advent of update 9.7, the ability to create a permanent team to participate in team battles was added. Such a team has its own emblem and name, and can consist of up to 12 tankers. You can join such a team at any time, and you can also leave it. In order to take part in the WOT ladder, you need to assemble a team of at least 7 people and play one rating battle.

These are fights between teams of equal skill, in team battle mode. The main feature of this type of battle is the ability to select a technique 30 seconds before the start.

Global ladder of World of Tanks.

By fighting in ladder battles, the team increases its rating and reaches new levels of the top of the World of Tanksf ladder. The distribution of teams into leagues and divisions based on the number of points earned based on the results of ladder battles is called the WOT Global Ladder.

Thus, the Global ladder is divided into 6 leagues with 4 divisions in each. There can be no limit to the number of groups in one division. The transition from one range to another directly depends on the number of points earned or lost in battles. Even with the lowest points, a team may be in one of the divisions. The global WOT ladder is formed separately for each gaming season (every three months). From the moment the season starts, team ratings are reset to zero, and the results of previous seasons will therefore not affect the initial rating value.

About creating a team (How to create?).

Any World of Tanks player can create a static team. To do this, you need to go to the “Team Battle” mode and select the “Play on the ladder” tab. Next, simply click create a team, after which you can send invitations to join the team to no more than 20 players.

This team can consist of up to 12 people with their respective titles:

  1. Team owner.
  2. An officer.
  3. Private.

The owner of a team is its creator. The creator has the right to transfer control of the team to another player, has the right to dissolve the team, edit it, etc. An officer and a private have approximately equal rights.

In order to disband a team, you must remove all players from it, and then leave it yourself. A static team can have any number of officers and men.

The principle of moving a team from division to division.

As you can see in the infographic, the team will automatically be promoted to League 6, Division D, after a successful battle. To move to Division C, you must score at least 100 points in ladder battles, and so on for each subsequent division.

Awards.

For effective and united actions, the team will be able to receive special medals:

Combat missions in ladder battles.

Company Wargaming I took everything French seriously. In update 9.7, released today, the national flavor of this country is not permeated except by HD models and new items related to team battles.

If with the advent of the “Attack/Defense” mode, team battles received a second life, then with the release of 9.7 they officially matured. Now tankers can play with a permanent squad, and after reaching the mark of twenty rating battles, they can come up with a name for their team.

Team battles were divided into two modes: regular - for national teams and static teams, and rating - only for permanent teams.

One of the main features of ladder battles is that before the start of the battle, players have 30 seconds to choose a vehicle suitable for the map and the attacking or defending side. Opponents in ladder battles are selected based on the rating of the team, not each of its participants. By winning battles, the permanent team rises higher and higher in the ranking table, receiving distinctive emblems of the league and division in which it is located

Backbone 9.7 - a new branch of medium tanks and the coastal Overlord - will appeal primarily to those who are partial to French armored vehicles and the landscapes of Normandy.

It is noteworthy that there are no “drummers” among the new tanks. Which, however, in no way detracts from the merits of each of the seven models of the new intermittent branch (levels 2–5 and 9–10).

Cardboard, precise, dynamic - these three characteristics perfectly describe each of the newcomers located on levels 9–10: the AMX 30 1st prototype and the futuristic AMX 30 B. In terms of gameplay, this pair of prototypes is similar to the German “Leopard” (similar dynamics and reservation). In addition, the new top pleases with excellent vertical aiming angles, a powerful 105 mm gun and excellent visibility and is suitable for sniper support of allied forces at the beginning of the battle and the destruction of enemy equipment at the end.

The new map from 9.7, “Overlord,” became the third historically accurate location in . This time the tankers will find themselves in the coastal part of Normandy, near the beaches where Allied troops landed on June 6, 1944. Conventionally, the map can be divided into four parts: a beach well covered by artillery, fortifications with dugouts and trenches, a clearing located in the center, and hilly fields where there is room for medium tanks to roam. The upper and lower parts of the map are connected by small isthmuses. In the gorges between them there are many secluded places that are suitable for heavy tanks.
