When will the municipal stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren take place? Everything you wanted to know about the All-Russian School Olympiad. The most important thing is to ensure competent refereeing

Started in Moscow municipal stage All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren. Last weekend there were competitions in biology and literature.

Students from grades 7-11 who have successfully performed in the competition take part in the competition. school stage, as well as the winners and runners-up of the municipal stage of last year.

In total, the following were invited to the Olympiads in the first 15 subjects: more than 160 thousand students capital schools. The school stage continues in nine more subjects.

Competitions in various subjects are usually held in different days. This was done so that the guys could try their hand at different disciplines. The Olympics, which involve the largest number of schoolchildren, will be held over the weekend.

For the first time this year, the municipal stage in law and economics for students in grades 7-10 will be held online. Since last year, competitions in biology and physics have been held in this format.

Special conditions are being created for children with disabilities to participate in the Olympiad in Moscow. On this moment 59 blind and visually impaired schoolchildren and 65 children undergoing long-term treatment were invited to the municipal stage. For the first time this year, the Olympiad will be held at the Morozov Hospital.

The Center for Teaching Excellence offers online courses in all subjects for participants. Classes are taught by coaches of the Moscow national team and teachers of the Association of Olympiad Winners. Courses are also held for teachers, where they can receive introductory information about the format of tasks at the municipal stage, consult with experts and master the principles of testing.

Invited participants receive all information about the municipal stage at their schools. You can get acquainted with the tasks of previous years and practice before the competition on the website of the All-Russian Olympiad for Schoolchildren.

The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is held annually for students in grades 4-11 in 24 subjects: Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Chinese, astronomy, biology, geography, computer science, history, literature, mathematics, MHC, life safety, social studies, law, technology, physics, physical culture, ecology, economics and chemistry.

The competition takes place in four stages - school, municipal, regional and final. Winners and runners-up of the finals may qualify for benefits when entering universities.

In the capital, the organizer of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is the capital's Department of Education and Science. The first three stages are coordinated by the Center for Teaching Excellence.

The only condition for organizing a municipal tour is the participation of at least two schools. That is, there may be several organizers in a municipality. (However, we still believe that one or two rounds per municipality is the optimal scheme. In some specially organized regions, just such a scheme is used.).

(An exception has been made for Moscow schools that have 2 or more departments. Now they can organize a municipal tour only for their departments, although of course it is better to invite other schools.)

The municipal organizer is obliged to provide a minimum of 10 places for each school, but the school itself can nominate a smaller number of participants. The exact number of students is determined by the municipal organizer based on its capabilities. It is important that schools send the really strong ones to the municipal round and in as many parallels as possible. Attention! The municipal organizer is not obliged to accept all schools in his municipality! He may generally limit himself to inviting one single school (everyone has different opportunities).

Any school in the area can offer itself as the organizer of a municipal tour; if it makes such a decision, then it must agree in advance with at least one other school that conducted the school tour that they will come to their school and participate. YOU CANNOT SUBMIT APPLICATIONS TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZER WITHOUT UPLOADING YOUR SCHOOL TOUR RESULTS. Only the organizer submits an application for a municipal tour.

Let's consider two situations: the school organizing the tour and the school that just wants to take part in it.

Organizing school After passing moderation, downloads tasks in your personal account and prints them according to the number of participants. During the tour, he involves accompanying teachers in judging in the classrooms, and then in checking the work. After completing the verification of works, uploads their results to the website.

Participating school closely monitors on the website who submits an application from the municipality, and as soon as he sees the approved application, he contacts the organizer and informs about his desire to participate in the tour. But it is better to take the initiative, and as early as possible, without being afraid to act as organizers yourself.

Attention newbies! The organizers of the Olympiad do not accept inflated results - we care! The tasks are designed in such a way that it is impossible to show a 100% result, and if the school presents results that are obviously untrue, the organizing committee will cancel them without any warning, along with all the school’s results in municipal tour. Therefore, we advise local organizers to very clearly understand the regulations of the Olympiad, to understand that failure to comply with time regulations, allowing negotiations in places where work is written, copying, checking works without strict compliance with the keys to all tasks is unacceptable. It is also necessary to store the participants’ work until November 1 and, if requested, be ready to send scans to the organizing committee. (Current).

Let’s add that there is already a unique person who has more than 5 maximum results in the school round (and even in one parallel)! For example, in the school where the organizing committee conducts it, there is not a single such result!

Dates

Municipal tours must take place on any day from September 30 to October 7. The tasks in the municipal round and the time to complete them in the municipal round will be the same for all ages from grades 5 to 11, however, diplomas will be issued according to age groups, that is, the passing scores for each group will be different.

Deadline for uploading results

No later than two days after the tour.

Who will advance from the municipal rounds to the regional stage?

Participants from each group are guaranteed to be able to test their strengths at the next stage. age group, who will achieve the passing score established for each region based on the results of the downloaded municipal round results. Passing scores for regions will be published no later than October 13.

What should those schools do in whose municipalities, for various reasons, the tour will not be organized?

Unfortunately, for such schools this year the Olympiad is over! Believe me, there is still plenty of time, and you can always find and invite two neighboring schools to participate.

If something in the presented diagram is not clear, ask questions in the comments.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MUNICIPAL TOUR ORGANIZERS.

The most important thing is to ensure competent refereeing.

We had wonderful organizers who did not understand the rules, and, alas, a year of participation was lost for their students. We ruthlessly, without entering into discussion, remove inflated results and children do not even receive certificates.

What is important?

- Eliminate cheating and any conversations during the Olympiad (often teachers do not pay attention to this, and judging in classes should be stricter than at the Unified State Exam). Children from the same school cannot sit next to each other, even on adjacent desks.

Clearly comply with time regulations(this is the most common mistake). Let's take a closer look.

“Poem” - 2 minutes to memorize + 7 minutes to write;

It is important that children learn the poem for only 2 minutes, then the sheets need to be collected. And so that no one makes any cheat sheets while memorizing. And when they write down what they remember, you need to make sure that they don’t look at the neighbor on the other desk (everyone is sitting alone).

Then participants receive 3 tasks at once

“Crossword” + “Erudition Test” + “Word” - 20 minutes for three competitions.

In this competition, the judges rest, looking only to make sure they don’t cheat. Participants decide for themselves in what sequence they will perform and how they will distribute time between tasks. You can do one thing and then return to it again. After 20 minutes, all tasks are collected.

Let’s take a special look at the “Word” competition in the municipal round. You don’t need to write down as many words as possible, but write the words in accordance with the number of specified letters, that is, if the cell is preceded by the number “5”, then a word of 5 letters should be written, if it is “>6” then the word should consist of at least than 7 letters. Words are nouns, common nouns, in the singular, made up of the letters of a given word. In total, it is proposed to compose 16 words.

“Correspondences” - 1 minute to memorize + 5 minutes to write

This requires very clear judging. Give out a piece of paper with pictures for exactly 1 minute, make sure they don’t make cheat sheets, and pick up the sheet after 1 minute. And only without having a sheet of paper on the table (or it can be turned with the blank side up), the participant writes in the cells what was located and where.

This year we are posting 35 images in advance (see attached file to), from which the “Matching” tasks will be formed at the municipal and regional rounds. On the municipal tour, the images will be captioned.

"Reading" - (5 minutes)

This is the time to study the text and write down the answer. It is very important to track exactly 5 minutes.

“Logic” - 15 minutes

Well, here they just do it and hand it over.

Helpful advice, how to organize the collection and distribution of sheets(This is what we have been doing ourselves for many years).

Before the start of the round, a set is assembled: at the bottom of the stack - blank side up - a form with a logic task is placed, then - blank side up - reading, then - an answer form for the “matching” task, a “matching” task form blank side up, on top - a crossword puzzle with test and word, poem answer sheet blank side up, poem text. For convenience, all this is stapled in a corner. Next, such a set is placed in front of the students on their desks, and the students, at the judge’s command, tear off one sheet after another (you need to be careful when there are several sheets for a time interval: you must tell them to tear off 2 sheets at once, and at the same time check on their desks to see if anything has been mixed up -That).

When “memory” tasks are completed, after the time has elapsed, the students simply turn over what they have learned with the blank side up and immediately tear off the answer sheet and begin to write, and the judges go through the rows and take away the task sheets.

Verification details are reflected in the keys.

And another important thing: in the school column you only need to write down the numbers of its code in our database.

But before the tour, you must definitely read this news again (so that later you don’t say that we didn’t warn you or that you have the whole class future Nobel laureates)

To help guide you toward normal results, JUST complete these tasks yourself. For reinforcement, ask one of your adult relatives to do this. And you will see that getting 100% results in any of the competitions is almost impossible.

Responsibility! All organizers are responsible for non-distribution of tasks in any form before publishing them on the site!

You cannot forward assignments to anyone, even if the person asking is represented by the organizing committee or “with the permission of the organizing committee,” etc. This is what scammers do from time to time. If you receive such a message, please forward it to us immediately and we will try to take action. But we NEVER allow assignments to be forwarded to anyone before they are published on our website.

You cannot give extra assignment forms to interested teachers (they must either be destroyed or remain with the organizers before we publish them on the website).

Children and teachers should not be allowed to photograph assignments.

You cannot submit verified work before we officially allow it through the site.

It is necessary to save all work for a month and be ready to send a scan of a particular work upon the first request of the organizing committee.

And the last thing that probably interests the majority of participants. What's next?

Those participants who achieve a passing score, which will be established by October 13 after analyzing all the results (different regions may have different passing scores), will be invited to the regional round (registration for the organizers of the regional round will open on October 11 and will run until October 15) .

Participants who have received the right to participate further and who wish to take advantage of this right will have to submit an individual application on the website by October 20, indicating which tour organizer they will go to. Attention! Not all regions will host final rounds, and there is a high probability that you will need to travel to the nearest region where the round is taking place. We will solve the problem with very remote regions quickly on an individual basis.

Why Vseross is cool

The All-Russian Olympiad for Schoolchildren (aka VOSH, aka VsOSH and Vseross) is the oldest and most prestigious Olympiad in our country. Its winners and runners-up final stage are enrolled in specialized universities without exams.

The prototype of the national Olympiad can be considered the “Olympiad for student youth”, which was held in Russian Empire in the 19th century. In the USSR, since the 1930s, city Olympiads for schoolchildren in mathematics, physics, chemistry, linguistics and other subjects began to develop.

Today Vseross is supervised by the Department public policy in the field of general education of the Ministry of Education Russian Federation.

VSOSH logo

VSOS is conducted in 24 subjects. The following were most in demand among schoolchildren in 2018.

  • Russian language.
  • Mathematics.
  • English language.
  • Biology.
  • Literature.
  • Social science.

All-Russian stages

The All-Russian School Olympiad is divided into four stages: school, municipal, regional and final. The first stage is the most massive. About 6 million people take part in it. Now imagine what kind of selection the participants go through if only a few hundred make it to the finals.

For the timing of each stage in 2019–2020 academic year You can follow on the official website of the Olympiad. The school tour has already begun - hurry up to participate!

School stage

  • Organized by schools, lyceums, gymnasiums.
  • Held in September - October. The deadline is no later than October 15.
  • Participants are students in grades 5–11, and in Russian language and mathematics - in grades 4.
  • It is carried out in person, but there is also an online stage (we’ll talk about it a little later).

Municipal stage

  • Organized by local government bodies in the field of education.
  • Held in November-December.
  • Designed for grades 7–11.

Regional stage

  • Organized by government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of education.
  • Held in January-February.
  • Designed for grades 9–11.

The final stage

  • Organized by the Ministry of Education of Russia.
  • Held in March-April.

Transition from stage to stage

Anyone can participate in the first stage. Those who performed well at the school are invited to the municipal, those who distinguished themselves at the municipal are invited to the regional, and so on.

  • “Performed well” does not necessarily mean becoming a winner or prize-winner. At each stage there is a threshold, after which the student passes to the next round.
  • Assignments by grade, not by age. For example, problems at the municipal stage are based on the program for grades 7 and older, and starting from the regional stage - from the program high school. In the history of All-Russian there was a case when a fourth-grader participated in the final stage - the child prodigy completed the tasks of the 9th grade, starting from the school stage.
  • Winners and prize-winners of last year can participate in the stage where they stopped, bypassing qualifying rounds. For example, if in 2018 you became the winner of the final stage in physics, then in 2019 you have the right to come to it again. Therefore, there are two- and even three-time winners of the All-Russian finals.

VSOSH on family education

The All-Russian School Olympiad is also available to “family students”. To participate in the first phase, homeschoolers have two options.

  1. You need to enroll in an accredited school, as for . Then you will be able to participate in the school selection for the All-Russian championship in person.
  2. If you don’t have time or don’t want to join the school, you can participate in the Vseross school Internet stage. It is intended for those who, for objective reasons, cannot participate in person. After registering for the desired subject, you will be able to download assignments and forms. The system records the date and time of receiving tasks. Completed work must be uploaded within 24 hours. Otherwise it will not be considered.

Summarizing

For each stage, quotas of prize-winners and winners are determined, as well as thresholds that need to be overcome. Winners are selected for each subject and stage. The threshold is the average value. Therefore, the organizers announce them after checking all the participants’ works.

For the first two stages, the rule applies: participants who have scored the maximum number of points can be recognized as winners only if the number of points they have scored exceeds half of the maximum possible. Therefore, a situation is possible when in the school and municipal stages there are no winners at all, but only medalists.

The winner of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is the one who scores the most points in the subject at the final stage.

Results begin to be announced at the end of April. Diplomas that open the doors of the country's universities are received not only by the winners, but also by the runners-up. The number of prize-winners usually does not exceed 25% of the number of participants in the final stage.

Awards

The main benefit that the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren provides to prize-winners and winners of the final stage is admission to specialized universities without exams. Results obtained in any grade starting from ninth grade are accepted.

Benefits when entering a university are provided only by winning or being awarded at the final stage.

The All-Russian student may not take the specialized Unified State Examination. It is enough to write basic mathematics and cross the threshold in Russian.

If the winner enters a non-core specialty, by decision of the university, he may receive 100 points for the Unified State Examination in a subject corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad. At the same time, the correspondence between the direction and profile of the Olympiad is determined by the university itself.

Example: you won the All-Russian Championship, but want to enter a university that is not in your field. Let’s say you won the Russian Olympiad, but you want to enter a university in the field of Economics, where the core subject is mathematics. Then you need to pass the Unified State Exam in social studies and mathematics, and Russian will be counted as 100 points, and you will participate in the general competition, but with a guaranteed “hundred” in your pocket.

The benefit for entering a university remains for the duration of four years following the year of obtaining the diploma.

How to prepare for the All-Russian School Olympiad

  1. Study the tasks of past Olympiads. Familiarize yourself with the requirements, learn to see the logic of the Olympiad tasks.
  2. Prepare for specific stages. If you have a regional one coming up, don’t worry about the final assignments. There are cases when a student easily solves problems from the final, but cannot pass the municipal stage.
  3. Participate in other Olympiads. They will help you practice and gain experience.
  4. Make a preparation plan. Distribute the load evenly, schedule everything by week and day - what topic you will work on, how many hours you will spend studying or repeating it, as well as solving problems. Be sure to take into account how much time you will have for basic studies, hobbies and recreation.
  5. Use specialized sources for preparation. At the Olympiad courses at the Foxford online home school, children deepen their knowledge of selected subjects and learn to solve competitive problems. Many courses are taught by All-Russian winners themselves, as well as by members of the Olympiad jury.
