Review of Ogarev Igor Yurievich

It was a long time ago, but we didn't like it. He behaved quite rudely, well, maybe that’s his style. We practiced in the park near our house, there was a ski track there, and I remember that the coach was very rude to an elderly man who was driving towards us and did not yield. This moment pushed me away, and then he told us that he had injured his knee. Well, this speaks of him as not very good athlete, athletes do not injure their knees. Then we found another coach and were very happy. And I could give Igor Yuryevich a maximum of three, I have a feeling that coaching is not his thing.

Review of Ivanov Vyacheslav Igorevich

My wife and I (I’m 46 years old and my wife is 50) love skiing and have even participated in marathons. Apart from school and college, I had never been involved in skiing before. We decided to improve our skating technique and trust an experienced coach. We found the website “Spirit of Sports”, where Vyacheslav was recommended to us. This turned out to be the coach of my dreams. He has at least 4 important skills: explaining and showing, seeing and noticing, motivating and being patient. Unlike many modern children's trainers, Vyacheslav is always on skis and demonstrates movement techniques, emphasizing important points. If any questions raise doubts, he will always listen and give reasons why he believes that this particular movement structure is correct. He praises and motivates us to perform the movements better. Gives useful tips, which my wife and I used in training and competitions. Vyacheslav is suitable for both adults and children. We enjoy working with him and learning classic and free style techniques. I hope that we have succeeded in this. Of course, we don’t strive for medals and prizes, but we like the process of training itself, and the fact that we finally understand how to move and why.

We had 4 training sessions with Pavel - he was an excellent trainer, they sorted out my mistakes in real time and set basic technique. Pavel even helped with the selection of equipment and suggested a store with good prices. I recommend.

Review of Gritsak Sergei Gennadievich

Wanted to learn how to ride skating skiing from scratch. The progress is excellent, but training alone is objectively not enough. We plan to continue working with Sergei. Excellent approach, systematic, experience. Very friendly attitude.

Review of Khudyakova Polina Alekseevna

My daughter has been training with Polina for 10 years, for more than six months. My daughter has been in the cross-country skiing section for 4 years now, over the years there has been some success, but individual adjustments to the technique were required, since the child, due to his nature, is stubborn and sometimes lazy, and the coach in the section does not have the opportunity to individually improve each person’s gaps. Polina has enough professional sports skills and patience to achieve the desired result from her daughter. The child happily goes to her for training and very respectfully communicates in person and responds afterwards. For her, Polina is a real authority. Polina is very conscientious about training and takes into account my husband and I’s wishes regarding the direction of work, since our child’s problems crop up from time to time. Polina motivates her daughter very well. And you even reward them for successful starts. When, due to our departures, we have to take breaks from joint training gives the child homework. And in general, he always goes to the meeting. Let's continue to cooperate further! When we started studying, we thought that we would fit into a certain number of classes, but since our child’s laziness periodically runs ahead of her, cooperation with Polina will be very long-term))

Which style to choose: skating or classic?

IN ski racing There are 2 main styles of movement: skating and classic. It is better for beginner skiers to choose and learn one style first - it will be easier; and besides, each of these styles requires a different set of equipment.

Classic style involves moving on a ski track and at first glance is easier to learn for beginners. Main mode of transportation classic style- the so-called “alternating move”: you seem to walk with a sliding step on the track, putting your right leg forward at the same time as your left hand and then changing them to left leg and right hand.
Difficulty in classic course represents possible ski slippage. To avoid it, you need to either properly lubricate your skis according to the weather and have a very good command of the technique, or (which is more suitable for beginners) use skis with special notches or a coating that does not require lubrication.

For those who are in good physical shape - and ideally know how to skate or roller skate - a more dynamic, but also energy-consuming skating style . Skating moves along a wide, flat track, and the movements of skiers are similar to moving on skates. To learn to skate, you need to have a good sense of balance (after all, you will have to glide on one ski), coordination and physical training. Training will allow you to understand the nuances of skating technique and glide beautifully on ski slope at high speed.

Imitation is one of the important means of training skiers in the off-season:
