What things to take for fishing. What to take with you on night fishing. Hygiene products for fishing

- in high-quality packaging;

When going fishing, the first thing you probably think about is what equipment to take with you and what bait will be best for catching fish. But for some reason, many people remember last that food is necessary for the fisherman himself; they hastily prepare some sandwiches and rush to leave “at first dawn.” What if you are going to fish more than one day in a row?

As with any trip, you should prepare the following products for fishing:
— are not perishable;
— easy to transport, i.e. do not wrinkle, do not melt in the heat;
- in high-quality packaging;
- must be nutritious and satisfying;
- those that do not require a serious approach to their preparation and will not take away from you the time that can be spent for its intended purpose, i.e., fishing.

But first of all, it is necessary to take care of a sufficient amount of fresh drinking water. For some reason, many fishermen are confident that not far from their fishing spot they will definitely be able to find a spring with good water. In fact, such a spring is not always found - this is the case. And secondly, you weren’t going to go to games for survival courses.

Salt is another extremely important product when fishing. Naturally, with salt, any food becomes more tasty, but this is not the main thing. If you are away for more than one day, you intend to bring your catch as “booty”; it is better to salt it at the fishing spot. Then you will have a guarantee that the fish will not spoil under the influence of heat.

Bread, which also must be taken with you on a fishing trip, is best packed in plastic bags - then it will not turn into crackers within the first 24 hours. Bread is one of those products that is always useful: you can quickly put together a sandwich, or just chew it if you don’t want to tear yourself away from the fishing process.

Various cereals or pasta are good for such fishing trips - any bulk products. You can very easily prepare a camp soup from them in an ordinary cauldron. By the way, the most delicious dish on fishing!

Canned food is also good for fishing. Just don’t forget to take a can opener with you, otherwise it will be very difficult to open a can of banal stew or sprat in a tomato.

Also good in nature would be a bay leaf for fish soup, various spices and tea leaves - then you will probably be convinced that going fishing is much more interesting than looking for codes for games online and sitting in a cramped apartment all the time.

“Liquidate” the products in order of priority - leave those that can be stored longer for later, and on the first day use those that “mom put in”, such as ready-made cutlets and fresh salads.

Almost every fisherman has known for many years what to take with him on a fishing trip. Every fisherman has certain things without which fishing will not be successful, for example, lucky boots or a “trump” float. Of course, the mandatory attributes of any fishing are spinning rods, reels, tackle, bait and groundbait.

But there are still a huge number of things, without which fishing will become a boring and rather difficult task. The list of things needed for fishing directly depends on the number of days you plan to spend on the pond.

If you are planning a long trip, for a week or even more, then you need to be very careful when choosing things. You need to take only those things that you know you will use.

If you plan to fish for only a few days, then the list of things will be sharply reduced. Many fishermen argue that the main thing is to take a first aid kit and good company with you when fishing, and don’t forget your fishing rod.

Things you need for fishing

If you plan to get to the fishing spot on foot, by bus or hitchhiking, then you need to pack only the most necessary things. It is worth paying attention to the weight of the backpack; it will be difficult for the fisherman if its weight exceeds 20 kilograms.

When going fishing in the warm season, do not forget about a warm sweater and raincoat, as very often the weather can be deceptive and a clear sunny sky can suddenly give way to thunderstorms and heavy rain. But it can also remain sunny, which is why you should definitely make room in your fishing backpack for sunglasses, a cap and sunscreen.

Provided that you stay overnight fishing, you will definitely need a tent and, of course, a blanket. The availability of a blanket depends on the time you go fishing; of course, you are unlikely to need it in winter.

Indispensable things for fishing will be a watch, a flashlight, matches and paper. If fishing is supposed to be in unfamiliar terrain, then it is advisable to have a compass and a map of the area with you.

It is much more convenient to wait for a bite while sitting on a chair rather than on damp earth. So it’s worth setting aside space in your backpack and for a high chair. It's better to carry it on your back extra kilos than to treat hemorrhoids later.)

Now let's take a closer look at the clearly formed list. And so, below are the things you need for fishing. Of course, everyone can change this list to suit themselves; some will find some attributes unnecessary, while others will need many more things. And now closer to the point, the list of things for fishing:

  • Be sure to take gear with you: fishing rods, groundbait, bait, landing net, cage. Mandatory things when fishing are spare tackle and its elements (line, hooks, float, sinkers), because no one is safe from cliffs;
  • Now about clothes, first of all, you should choose clothes for fishing according to the weather. As mentioned above, a cap will be a very useful thing when fishing. Do not forget that it is always colder near the water than it might seem at first glance;
  • Be sure to bring drinking water with you;
  • Soap;
  • First aid kit. Iodine, bandage, cotton wool, adhesive plaster, anti-allergic agent - the most minimal set in a fisherman’s first aid kit;
  • Don’t forget the anti-bite remedy; mosquito bites have never been cancelled. WITH folk remedies Vanilla dissolved in water and rubbed into the skin helps very well, and the smell is pleasant and mosquitoes do not bite;
  • Now to the little things: a hatchet, a knife, a mining shovel. Flashlight, matches or lighter, paper, watch. If you're fishing at night, don't forget about spare batteries for your flashlight. And of course, a high chair;
  • Tent, sleeping bags (their number depends on the number of fishermen) and warm clothes for sleeping;
  • Well, don’t forget about food, this is at the discretion of the fishermen themselves;

The process of preparing for fishing is quite a responsible activity and often brings fishermen the same positive feelings as the fishing process itself. Experienced fishermen know how to properly prepare for fishing; they decide on the fishing location and the desired trophy in advance. And long before going fishing, the process of preparation and careful planning begins. Fishermen already know what they will fish, where and with what bait.

Very often when fishing, people encounter force majeure situations, and emergencies often occur. The most important thing before fishing is to check that it is working correctly. vehicle, if the departure is planned to be carried out on it. After all, no one wants to push the car instead of watching the float.

Don’t forget to check all electronics that will be used during fishing. It is recommended to take a car charger for your phone or power bank.

Be sure to pack a separate box with spare gear. Be sure to prepare the bait in advance.

When preparing for fishing, many people buy bait mixtures in stores, but some still make them themselves. It is not uncommon for groundbait prepared at home to be cake with flour or corn grits with fixatives.

A very important thing in a fisherman’s backpack is the fish tank; never forget it. The presence of a cage will always ensure the safety of the catch and all the fish will be alive. Do not forget that there are a lot of mosquitoes and other insects in the reservoir, so when going fishing you should pay attention to the selection of insect repellent. It is also mandatory to have a first aid kit, at least with the most necessary items (iodine, bandage, cotton wool, adhesive plaster, antiallergic agent, antipyretic).

And of course, don’t forget about food, there should be enough of it. It is necessary to allocate space in your backpack for a knife and matches. The main thing is not to rush when packing for fishing; for convenience, you can make a list.

Preparing for summer fishing

Preparing for fishing in the summer is a little easier than at other times of the year, and fishing is much more interesting and enjoyable. For successful and comfortable summer fishing, you need to prepare things from the following list:

  • clothing (preferably waterproof) and hat;
  • shoes;
  • bag - thermos to ensure a low temperature of the bait (so that the worms do not die);
  • insect repellent;
  • an umbrella (to hide at least a little from the sun);
  • Sunglasses;
  • sun cream;
  • first aid kit, flashlight, matches and knife;
  • fishing gear, the choice of which is made according to the chosen fishing technique;
  • landing net and cage;
  • high chair or stool;
  • food and drinking water.

It is recommended not to go summer fishing without a compass and map. The list can be supplemented based on additional preferences. Some fishermen will consider the items on the list unnecessary, while some, on the contrary, will say that they are not enough.

If fishing is planned in winter time year, then the list of items needed for fishing needs to be approached in a slightly different way. List of the most necessary things for winter fishing:

  • warm clothes (must protect from wind and moisture);
  • warm hat;
  • mittens (preferably two pairs);
  • warm shoes;
  • spare socks;
  • ice pick (to test the strength of ice while moving on it);
  • ice screw;
  • a scoop (necessary to clean the holes);
  • fishing box or chair;
  • backpack;
  • thermos with hot drink;
  • tent;
  • kindling for a fire;
  • rope and fasteners - in case someone falls through the ice;
  • tackle;
  • first aid kit

If you go fishing by car, then a sled will be a very useful thing; it makes it much easier to move on the ice and transport gear to the fishing spot.

What to take with you on night fishing

The main aspect when preparing for night fishing is that there is no daylight, and fishing in the dark is not very convenient. All things should be in their places, saving the fisherman from searching for something in the dark. At night it is extremely difficult to tie anything down and install gear. Because of this, it is recommended to take several sets of equipped rods with you. Spare gear must be placed in boxes, separately from each other, so that they do not get tangled.

It is necessary to take into account the fact that using sliding floats for night fishing is not an easy task and people with an “unstable psyche” are recommended to equip their rods only with non-slip floats. Now to the coils, everyone knows that on inertial coils Very often a beard gets tangled, and it’s quite difficult to untangle it even during the day, let alone at night. So it’s best to take it for night fishing spinning reels. You can equip your rods with thicker fishing line and larger hooks, this will make fishing more convenient and will not affect the fish biting at night.

Sometimes, when going on an overnight fishing trip, you almost have to write a list of what you need to take with you. Yes, and still, something, yes, will be forgotten in the process of getting ready. But to prevent this from happening, we present to your attention “An Overnight Fishing Memo, or what a fisherman should remember to take with him.” We tried to include a minimum number of points in our memo, but they are very necessary during an overnight fishing trip.

It’s not for nothing that food became one of the first items on our list. After all, fishing with an overnight stay somewhere far from civilization is not easy. You never know in advance what you might need. And if you need it, there’s nowhere to get it. There won’t be an island with a store after the lake.

  1. Bread. It’s not for nothing that they say “Bread is the head of everything!” Without bread and fish soup, it won't be as tasty. But, only when fishing, the bread goes away very quickly. Therefore, take with you on an overnight fishing trip not white bread or a loaf, but black, gray or “rural” bread. These types of breads are heavier in composition, which means they will not go away quickly.
  2. Canned food is a great snack for night fishing. It is best to take three cans with you at the rate of: 1 can for lunch, 2 cans for dinner or breakfast. And the third jar is just in case. Why did we split the second jar for dinner and breakfast? And all because a can of canned food may not be useful for dinner, since in the evening even the fish soup will be ready. In the morning you will most likely no longer have fish soup. And you need to have breakfast. So you can eat canned food from dinner.
  3. Instant noodles or potatoes. We need to take at least three packages with us. And if you refer to it just in case, then no less than five. These noodles or potatoes will not go bad soon, so just in case, let them lie there.
  4. Pasta. There will be pasta as never before, by the way, if overnight fishing doesn’t go well. Well, what if there’s no bite today?
  5. A must-have product for overnight fishing is sausages. An excellent and filling snack. Yes, and you shouldn’t skimp on snacks. Fishing is a satisfying experience. However, you can also feed the fish.
  6. Drinking water is another must-have item. If overnight fishing takes place in the summer, you will need a lot of water. Bring at least five liters per person. But keep in mind that if you do not decide to cook fish soup using water from a reservoir, you will need more water.
  7. Well, what would fishing be without some cold vodka? Of course, this item should be postponed if you are a teetotal fisherman. And if, after all, you are a drinker, then remember that fishing, and even overnight stays, can never be too much. And as you know, a drinking fisherman has a hangover in the morning, so take care of beer in the morning.
  8. What kind of overnight fishing with cold vodka will it be if there are no fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and herbs. To be on the safe side, take a bunch of greens and five vegetables with you.
  9. Salt is an indispensable food product when fishing overnight. Take a pack of salt with you. As you know, when fishing, salt is consumed at an imperceptible rate.
  10. Coffee, tea, sugar, cookies, sweets. It would be an excellent option if you don’t carry boxes and cans of tea and coffee with you, but stock up on this product in small bags.
  11. Marinade for fish during overnight fishing is Maggi cubes or Rolton dressing.

What you need to take with you to cook fish soup in nature

  1. Fish. Although not necessary. Still, we are going fishing. It's better to catch her.
  2. Onions – 5 pieces. This is not only for making fish soup. Suddenly you want to crunch onions just like that.
  3. Potatoes – 12 pieces for fish soup. And 12 pieces to cook jacket potatoes
  4. Bay leaf. This spice can serve you not only for preparing fish soup, but also for repelling mosquitoes. All you need to do is burn the laurel leaf. Mosquitoes will certainly not flock to such a smell.
  5. Millet – 30 grams
  6. Carrot
  7. Oil
  8. Mayonnaise
  9. Ketchup
  10. Vinegar

We have probably listed everything from food products. And, probably, this is the most minimal list of what overnight fishing requires so as not to go hungry. But it’s worth considering that this list is for one, maximum, two people.

Necessary utensils for night fishing

  1. We must not forget that dishes require cleanliness in any conditions, not to mention in the field. Therefore, first of all, put dishwashing detergent in your backpack.
  2. Kettle or cauldron for fish soup
  3. Tea cup
  4. Spoon fork
  5. Dishes
  6. Kettle
  7. Marinating container
  8. Cutting board for cutting food
  9. Pan

Necessary equipment for night fishing

  1. Overnight fishing involves extreme conditions. Even if you looked at the weather forecast, you cannot be 100% sure that it will not snow on a summer night. Therefore, take care not only of the tent, but also of warm clothes, a blanket, mattress, rug or sleeping bag.
  2. For night fishing, a mini saw and ax will be an excellent assistant.
  3. Flashlight. And don't forget about extra batteries for it
  4. Mosquito repellent is the enemy of all insects on overnight fishing trips
  5. A first aid kit containing: iodine, aspirin, analgin, bandages, gastal, nitroglycerin, loperamide.

At this point we have included only the most basic and necessary, since each fisherman has his own equipment. Most importantly, do not forget, when going on an overnight fishing trip, to take with you something that will not cause you discomfort during your vacation.

Advice! Lastly, don’t forget to bring matches or a lighter. Otherwise they remember about them at the very last moment. So that you don’t have to, like in primitive times, fan the fire using friction.

The list of things for fishing depends on how you will get to the pond. If by car, then the weight that you can take with you is practically unlimited. For pedestrian fishermen, it is recommended to take luggage weighing no more than 20 kg.

Summer fishing - what to take?

Fishing in summer is much easier, and the choice of fishing method is more varied. In the summer you need to take a certain set of things for fishing, you will need:

It wouldn’t hurt to take a compass and a map of the area when fishing in summer and winter if you don’t have a navigator in your car. Nowadays, stores have a variety of modern fishing products, from which you need to choose the most reliable and high-quality ones.

Fishing with an overnight stay - what to take?

For overnight fishing we take everything the same as for summer fishing, plus:

  • overnight tent;
  • inflatable mattress or a folding bed;

  • kindling for a fire;
  • rope and fasteners - this is a must for fishing in winter, in order to carry out a rescue operation if you fall through the ice;
  • gear needed for winter fishing: several fishing rods, fishing line, jigs, bait, hook for large fish, feeder, bloodworm;
  • depth gauge in the form of a thick rope with a sinker for determining the depth and attaching the feeder;

if the fishing trip is planned for several days, you need to take a decent supply of food with you: bread, canned food, salt, seasonings for fish soup, tea bags, sugar, drinking water. All products must be packaged in waterproof film. Be sure to also take dishes, a first aid kit, a car kit will do.

If you have space in your car, you can take a sled: it’s convenient to transport all your equipment to the fishing spot.

Fishing in Astrakhan, on the Volga, on Akhtuba

Usually at the end of summer, beginning of autumn, my stepfather gets ready to go fishing in cars with his friends to the Astrakhan region. They prepare in advance, collecting a lot of items necessary for fishing on the river and for recreation.

A couple of years ago, they still traveled with tents, summer kitchens and other camping supplies that took up a lot of space. They even took a car trailer on the trip.

Now they overpay a little, but rent rooms at a recreation center, where there is a civilian toilet, a shower, and a kitchen. Some people, on the contrary, will like unity with nature and satisfaction of their needs under the nearest bush. I myself went to Akhtuba for 10 days and remember very well how much we carried:

  • tents, cots or air mattress, sleeping bags or blankets, pillows;
  • the summer kitchen, where we ate dinner in the evenings, as there were mosquitoes and midges;
  • clothes: swimsuits and swimming trunks; T-shirts (2 pcs), T-shirts (2 pcs) and shorts, jacket and pants, socks and underwear, headwear (cap, Panama hat, bandana, hat, etc.), sweater, warm jacket, gloves, rain cape ;
  • shoes: flip-flops or flip-flops, sneakers or sneakers, boots, rubber boots, waders;
  • hygiene products: soap, toothbrush and paste, toilet paper, wet wipes, towel, comb, and personal products (creams, lotions, razors, shaving gels, cotton pads, etc.);
  • folding table and chairs;
  • dishes: basin, buckets, kettle, pots, pans, kettle, knives, cutlery, metal and plastic bowls and cups, plastic containers, cutting boards, etc.;
  • container for salting fish: a barrel will do;

  • tripod and hearth (mesh for placing pans);
  • burner and gas cylinders;
  • barbecue and smokehouse;
  • axe, shovel, saw, pliers;
  • lighter fluid, firewood, matches;
  • pendant lamp for evening lighting, candles, flashlight;
  • mosquito nets, mosquito repellents (aerosols, creams, spirals and plates);
  • first aid kit (you can get by with a machine);
  • food supply: salt, sugar, tea, coffee, cereals, canned food, potatoes, onions, carrots, spices, cookies, sprats, salted lard, raw smoked sausage, marinated meat for barbecue, water (5-10 liter bottles), optional alcohol;
  • cigarettes and lighters, if there are smokers;
  • camera, video camera for capturing the catch and recreation in general;
  • documents for the car, map of the area, telephone, money (preferably exchanged).

I really liked Astrakhan. We had a great time, fished, swam, tanned, and generally had a fun time. You can go to these long trips not only in the company of men, but also with women and children. There is something for everyone, children spend the whole day playing fresh air, play, eat, swim. Girls and women sit quietly and fish, sunbathe, swim, cook, and admire nature.

In the evenings we got together as a group, had dinner, sang songs with a guitar, and talked. Every year we bought a lamb and cooked amazing shurpa from it, fried ribs, made cutlets - it was simply divine.

On the opposite side of the river there was a farm where you could buy fresh cottage cheese, milk, and kefir. Men on a boat took my mother and me to the farm, where we cuddled rabbits and bought fresh milk.

At the bottom of Akhtuba there were so many crayfish that the men brought a bucket almost every day. During the evening gatherings, the crustaceans were greatly consumed by all the inhabitants of our camp.

There were many snakes crawling on the river bank, mostly snakes, but there were also poisonous vipers. The bottom of the river was sandy, but in some places there were sharp shells of rapans sticking out, several times I bumped into them and cut off my legs. Frogs and grasshoppers, as well as beetles, spiders, dragonflies and other insects, were jumping along the shore in the thickets of grass and bushes.

When we ran out of the necessary products, we drove to the nearest village to the local store. In the summer you could buy various seasonal fruits and vegetables, which is what we did. We ate juicy watermelons and melons, ripe tomatoes and peppers.

The men often sailed away on a boat in the hope of catching a catfish from the hole, and they succeeded more than once. Once we caught a catfish weighing 50 kg, and with difficulty dragged it onto the boat. Naturally, fishermen could not ignore such a specimen, and everyone began to take pictures with it. And what a wonderful fish soup it turned out to be! I have never tasted such deliciousness in my life.

In general, we advise everyone to have a good time fishing. No tail, no scales! http://v-spisok.ru/%D1%87%D1%82%D0%BE-%D0%BD%D1%83...D0%B1%D1%85%D0%BE%D0%B4% D0%B8/

Along with the rapid and massive development of amateur fishing, the range of fishing equipment is also growing. We will talk about this basic set of fisherman in this article.

Rods. A novice fisherman needs to know that they are made from wicker, hazel, birch, bamboo, metal, fiberglass, etc. The first requirement for them is strength, the second is elasticity, and the third is length. They should not be kept in water, as this will result in loss of strength, cracking or corrosion. For ease of transportation, fishing rods are made of several sections. For fishing, float, feeder, plug, fly, bottom, winter and spinning fishing rods are used. At the thin end of the rods, a loop must be fitted through which the fishing line of the tackle is passed, which is secured to the reel or in the middle of the rod. If the end of the rod breaks, the fisherman does not lose all the gear and the caught fish.

Line (vein). Not long ago, twisted hair from a horse's tail or different kinds silk or hemp cords, now, for the same purpose, they use synthetic veins: nylon, perlon, silone and others, as well as metal strings, which have different colors and are made with a thickness of 0.08 to 1 mm. Rarely for fishing, but nylon and hemp cords are also used. To prevent the fishing line from losing its elasticity, it should be immersed from time to time for several hours in a 50% solution of glycerin and water and kept less in the sun.

Leash. In case of fishing with fishing rods predatory fish- for pike, pike perch or catfish, which can bite the fishing line, a metal string 25-50 cm long is attached to the end of it, into which spinners or hooks with bait are already attached. Considering the caution of the fish, to reduce the visibility of the main thick fishing line, a leash of thin fishing line 15-30 cm long and 0.08-0.3, rarely 0.4 mm thick is attached to the end of it, to which a hook is tied.

Carbine with swivel (anti-twist). Used to connect the main fishing line of the tackle with a leash on a bottom fishing rod, feeders, girders, paths, circles, spinning rods with rotating spoons.

Float. Designed to restrain a leash with a hook and bait or nozzle at a certain depth, as well as to record the moment a fish bites. There are floating and standing floats, which are made from: goose feathers, tree bark, foam, plastic of various sizes and shapes. At night, to detect fish biting, a small bell or firefly is also hung at the end of the rods, and winter fishing rods, most often, the float is replaced with sensitive guards of various shapes and materials.

Sinker. A novice fisherman needs to know that a sinker is used on gear when fish are caught near the bottom and in the water column, to hold the hook with a nozzle or bait in the desired place or position. Sinkers are made of heavy metal, mainly lead, tin, and babbitt. The shapes of sinkers and their sizes are very diverse and depend on the purpose of the gear. The weights on the tackle are fixed or made to move freely. For light gear, pellets of different sizes are used (hunting or ready-made from the store), which are cut to the middle with a knife and secured to the leashes by compression. Freely moving sinkers are made in the form of balls, ovals or cylinders, which can freely rotate on the fishing line and roll along the bottom, along with the flow of water. The movement of such a free weight along the fishing line is limited by stoppers that are secured on both sides.

On bottom fishing rod and feeders, in flowing reservoirs where it is necessary to use heavy sinkers, cast iron mugs, rings, and heavy feeders are used for this.

The greatest difficulties in selecting a sinker for the tackle arise among spinners. The weight of the spinner here, together with its components, namely: the sinker, carabiner, winding rings, should be such that with a jerk it is possible to bring the reel with fishing line to a state of inertia and overcome the frictional force at the contact points on the rod and in the air.

In addition, it turns out that predatory fish, especially perch, as well as pike, having noticed the spoon, “follow” the sinker (as if it were prey), try to get ahead of the spoon (competitor) and grab the sinker, and therefore do not get caught by the spoon. To avoid this, spinners make a sinker with two hooks built into them, shaped like the fish that lives in the fishing area, or which is the predator’s favorite food item.

Hooks. The success of fishing largely depends on the quality, shape and size of hooks. Hooks are made bent and forged (black - hardened in oil, white - from stainless steel, coated with bronze), with a loop or flattened at the end of the rod and have numbers: 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8.5 , 10, 12, 14, 16, 40 corresponding to the distance in millimeters between the tip and the rod.

The hook should not bend or break. Its sting should be long and pointed, the beard of the sting should be deeply cut and slightly retracted inward or to the side.

Hooks are tied to fishing line in several ways. The vein is pulled into the loop of the rod with inside(from the middle), tie it around the rod and pull its end into the same loop of fishing line again - a figure eight is formed, which is tightened tightly. The second method is not much different from the first - only the figure eight from the vein is made separately, and then the end of the rod is passed through both rings of the figure eight and the vein is tightly tightened. Third - the vein is bent in half 3-4 cm from the end, applied in a loop to the rod, at the bend of the stream, the short end of the fishing line is wrapped from bottom to top along the rod along with the long end of the fishing line 3-5 times and its free tip is passed into the loop of the fishing line formed during bending at the forend, and tighten this loop with the long end of the fishing line under its turns on the rod. The remainder of the tip of the fishing line is cut off in all cases, and the fishing line of the tackle must be on the inside of the hook (on the rod opposite the sting). For spinners, etc., use double and treble hooks with the appropriate size and numbers from 6 to 18.

Spoons. This is a kind of artificial substitute for natural bait. The great interest in spinners is explained mainly by the absence of difficulties in storing natural baits, which in this case should be small fish. The growing variety of spinners is associated with the search for forms that can best replace fish - food items for pike, pike perch, perch, and other predators. They are also an integral element of sport fishing for the above species of fish.

By size, spinners are divided into large, medium, small; by weight - heavy and light; by color - bright and matte; by movement in water - rotating, oscillatory, vertical; in shape - into symmetrical and asymmetrical, acting as an irritant or “competitor”, which allegedly catches up with the bait placed in front of the spoon, or the second spoon, in the diet of predatory fish.

Spinner baits are made from stainless steel, duralumin, bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, lead, cupronickel, glass, gutta-percha and other materials.

Our industry produces more than a hundred types of various spinners, the most common of which have not lost their purpose over many decades, and the search for new types continues among amateurs and, having gained popularity, become the object of industrial production.

As a rule, lures are connected to the main tackle through a carabiner and a steel leash. Depending on the conditions of the reservoir, time, place, current, weather, and the demands of predatory fish, they use one or another lure. You should also count on losing them from hooks. Spoons are often replaced with “rigs” adapted for mounting a dead fish, which is placed on a metal pin and secured with tee anchors along the surface of the body.

IN winter period They use mainly small spoons for vertical trolling. They have one hook connected to the spoon, on which there is no barb, but the tip must be long and well sharpened; in this case, a leash is not needed. If the spinners are intended for catching pike or pike perch, then their size should reach 70 mm, and the sting should have a barb.

The color of the spinners in winter should be chosen bright. To polish lures and sharpen hooks on fishing trips, you need to take chamois leather, sandpaper, a sharpener, cloth and polishing paste with you.

Bumper. When fishing, a hook or jig often clings to underwater obstacles - submerged branches, trees, snags, aquatic vegetation, stones. To free the gear from the snag, they use bumpers, which are made
made of soft metal - lead or babbitt in the form of a ring or cylinder of different diameters and weights.

Fishing practice requires bumpers that directly pass onto the fishing line; this is convenient if there is a reel on the rod. In this case, lead rings with loops are used, one of which acts as a hinge - a curtain, the second - a latch. Lead cylinders are also made.

A mandatory requirement for successfully releasing a hook or lure from a hook is to bring the boat to the place where the tackle is held and vertical tension of the fishing line; in this case, the striker releases the hooks and lures quite easily with its weight.

Landing net. Caught big fish should always be removed from the water using a landing net, to which it is gradually brought with a fishing rod. They make a landing net from a nylon mesh. They sew it to metal rings with a diameter of 25-30 cm, the ends of which are secured with a sleeve to a wooden or bamboo stick, 100-150 cm long and 2-3 cm thick. The depth of the landing net should be 60-70 cm. If you are too lazy, go to the store and buy already ready.

Bagorik. It is better to drag large catfish and pike into the boat using a metal hook made in the form of a hook, the distance from the tip to the rod is 60-80 mm, the length of the rod reaches 50-60 cm.

Fish tank. They try to keep the caught fish alive. It is best to use nylon basket cages for this. There is a huge selection of them in fishing stores.

Bucket for live bait. It is better to keep live bait (small fish for catching predatory fish) in a 5-6 liter bucket equipped with a lid with tabs and a latch. In the upper third of the bucket, many 5 mm holes are made to ensure water exchange. Live bait is carried to the fishing site in a bucket of water, and at the fishing site it is immersed in water. Buckets can be made of metal or plastic.

Mormyshka. This name comes from the name of a small amphipod crustacean (gamarus), which is common in the reservoirs of the Urals and Siberia and is a favorite food of fish. Rising in shocks from the bottom to the surface of the reservoir, it becomes an object of prey for voracious perches, roaches, and elms. In those areas, fishermen collect this crustacean from under the ice and catch fish with it using winter fishing rods.

The lack of such bait in the central European regions prompted inventive amateurs to make artificial jigs (“jigs”), and more than a hundred forms of this, so to speak, delight appeared, which are used with or without a bloodworm attachment. It can be considered at the same time a sinker, a jig, and an irritant. “Jigs” are made from tin, lead, copper, bronze in the form of a ball, a drop, as well as ovoid, oval, lens-shaped, etc., with a soldered forged hook in a horizontal position. Hooks choose small sizes No. 2.5 - 3.5. Recently, quite large (heavy) “jigs” have appeared that have begun to resemble spinners. The hole for passing the fishing line is made in the jig, in a vertical plane relative to the hook. The vein under the jig is tied with a flat knot. “Jigs” are divided into large, medium and small.

Coil. An integral fisherman’s tool for casting bait, nozzles and spinners over a long distance within a certain
place or dive gear in deep places. Spinning and fly fishing reels have existed for a long time, and now winter and leading bottom reels have appeared, which are made of light metals and synthetic materials. They are divided into inertial and non-inertial. The success of fishing with a reel is entirely related to the minimum friction in it.

Feeders. They are most often used for baiting and attracting fish. Their design is being improved in the direction of precision in casting bait directly to the fishing spot. Feeders are made in small sizes, mostly cone-shaped, 6-15 cm high and 4-8 cm in diameter; they can be made of metal or synthetic materials (depending on their purpose). They usually use feeders in flowing reservoirs, where the current gradually washes out the food that the fish collect.
