How to paint spinners silver. How to increase the catchability of a spinner. In short, you give old spinners a new life

One of the most common and popular spinning baits are spinners, which are divided into oscillating (in common parlance - spoons) and rotating (spinners). They differ from each other different characteristics, which includes the color of the spinner.

Spoons are made from various metals. Depending on this, they can have a reddish copper color, yellow brass or a whitish, shiny chrome color. The demons also paint with paints, applying interesting designs to them.

You can catch pike, perch, pike perch and even catfish with a spoon. Each fish has its own taste preferences for the color of the devil. Here are examples of working colors of spinners for pike fishing.

Colors of spinners for pike fishing

Pike lures from Kuusamo: Hauki and Professor

Manufacturers often make a special notch on the bait, which gives the spoon a certain dullness. Spoons of this type have much less glare in the water, which is very useful in most cases, since glare often scares away predators.

Also, many baits are fully or partially painted with special paints. This allows you to create a spinner of almost any color or combination thereof.

For example, some models have a peculiar acid color. Many people are familiar with the color called “Black Fury”, which is a black background with bright dots of different colors: red, yellow, orange.

To catch perch or chub, spinners with a completely black blade are used. Asp are often caught using white spinners, which do not create a deterrent glare.

Spinner surface:

  • Regular chrome and knurled chrome;
  • Lead or tin;
  • Polished copper, knurled copper;
  • Polished brass, knurled brass, passivated brass;
  • Brushed oxidized copper or brass;
  • Bronze, silver (matte);
  • Spoons with a painted surface.

With the variety of surfaces and colors of spinners, the situation is clear. But the question arises, which baits from wide range used in different natural and weather conditions, for catching different predators.

The color of the spoon is selected taking into account the type of small fish of what color is most common in a particular body of water.

For fishing in rivers where it mainly lives white fish according to the type of perch and roach, you should use spinners with light colors (“Chrome”, “Matte silver” and others).

If fishing takes place on a still lake, quarry, or small ponds, the use of brass and copper spoons becomes more appropriate. In rivers where trout are found, point lures are used.

Also, when choosing a spoon, you need to take into account the degree of water transparency. For fishing in muddy water, you should take bright baits (“Chrome”, “Acid”, the above-mentioned Black Fury” and others), while in reservoirs with clear water it is better to fish with spoons with a neutral color (“Chrome with a notch”, “Brass” with notches", various matte colors).

This is due to the elementary visual features of fish, which in dark water may simply not notice your bait, and in a clear reservoir, too bright colors and glare will scare them away.

Lighting conditions also play an important role. It is traditionally believed that on sunny days with good weather, predators are much more likely to fall for dark matte spoons, brass or copper baits, and on bad weather with heavy clouds they prefer bright baits of acidic colors.

In twilight conditions, it is appropriate to use black spinners. However, you should not be too categorical about this distribution, since numerous cases from fishing practice can refute the above-mentioned strict rules.

Experiment and find an individual approach to the conditions of your pond.

The dependence of the color of the spoon on the type of predatory fish is extremely small. The predator reacts more to the play of the bait, its movement in the water column.

For example, pike are caught on baits of various colors (of course, within reasonable limits): “Chrome”, “Matte silver”, brass and copper spoons, bright baits of acidic colors.

The situation with pike and perch fishing is similar. For him, the play of the spinner, its shape, is more important, and the color must be selected taking into account weather conditions, the color of the “food” small fish in the pond, etc.

The color of the spoon plays a more significant role when catching asp or chub, which are much more often caught on bait with a matte surface.

Which coil to choose for a feeder - overview of characteristics

It’s sad, but old, albeit beloved, spinners, which have proven their viability and catchability, gradually fade and even rust. Surely every lure fisherman has a whole warehouse of such “retirees” who worked well on predators.

Some people regret throwing them away, remembering their “past merits,” while others simply never throw away the spoons, cluttering up the treasured box with them. The article discusses the issue of restoring the catchability of old spinning baits and gives some tips on updating cloudy and rusty spinners.

How to restore the former catchability of old spinners

There are ways to effectively “revive” or, if you want, facelift, for old spinners. Whether they are needed is another matter. I think so.

  • Firstly, the catchability of the bait is determined not only by the “war paint” but also by the successful shape.

Sometimes even newly purchased “Chinese” ones have to be slightly modified with pliers and a hammer directly on the pond, checking the “appetiteness” of their planning during a pause and specifically the “fluctuation” in the wiring.

  • Secondly, the spinning angler’s constant craving for “experiments” with new baits is precisely what causes the appearance of “old” ones. If you get a new bait from an old one, and practically for free, why not do it.
  • Thirdly, any spinner is inclined to “fiddle around” with baits, so that after “soaking” his homemade product and catching fish on it, he can boast of the pleasantly well-deserved fame of a master of baits. Well, you shouldn’t forget about the “old love” for catchy spoons.

In short, you give old spinners a new life!

The first and easiest thing to do is to clean cloudy and slightly corroded baits. We stupidly “soak” the spinners in Pepsi or Coke overnight, and in the morning, after rinsing with water, we are satisfied with the result. The turbidity noticeably disappears, the fine rust disappears.

On spinners that are “spotted” with rust, you can limit yourself to “cosmetic” minor repairs. Nail polish, etc. Using dyes, we add specks, dots, stripes, etc. in places of corrosion. Sometimes such an “Indian” coloring is very beneficial for the lure. By the way, this good way catch previously silent baits.

In the same place where with a rusty spoon, as they say, Hard case- a thorough “body repair” of the entire bait is required. There are several options.

Self-painting with the same nail polish. Fortunately, it has a great variety of variations and colors, incl. iridescent, voluminous, etc. Nowadays, even in fishing stores they sell paint to “revive” spinners, just choose. If you don't have a lot of imagination, look at the pictures on the Internet, people there paint and post them with all their might.

The catchability of the spoons is restored by sanding them and painting them with silver auto enamel from self-spraying cans (our favorite method). There are also plenty of colors to experiment with.

You've probably seen furniture or craft self-adhesive film on sale. You get lost in its variety of brilliant options. Great way“body repair” of an old spinner. A little diligence and the new vibrator is ready for use.

Colors and color options for oscillating spinners - a chapter from Viktor Andreev’s book “Spoons and Wobblers for Spinning.” Fishing with spinners - review, types, models, game, fishing, selection of spinners, tips for beginning spinners.

General background color and colors of spinners

Speaking about the color and pattern of the spinner spoon, it is meant that there is a main background color of the spoon (including two-color), and an auxiliary local tint or surface patterns. It is clear that the main background color of the spoon is of decisive importance, but individual color elements can also play a very important role. The fact is that the spoon has the largest and smoothest reflective surface, which (especially polished metal) can give unnatural light reflections and scare away fish. To dull the excess “shine”, partial painting, gluing or “scratching” of the smooth surface of the spoon is used.

Colors of spinners - which ones are better?

When I hear that the color of the bait does not matter, I always ask: “Why do fish have eyes then?” After all, not only science, but also practice confirms: fish not only distinguish colors, but also actively react to them.

Yes, predators first detect the vibrations of their prey with their lateral line, but before attacking they always have the opportunity to examine what they are about to eat. Could you yourself have lunch “without seeing anything”?

The picture is familiar to everyone - the fish follows the bait all the way to the shore, but does not take it. Why? I personally see two explanations. The first is simple curiosity. The second and most likely thing is that something is alarming the predator already at a close distance of 20-30 cm. What exactly? If these were acoustic vibrations that the fish “heard” from afar, they simply would not come to the bait. Most likely, the predator was already able to see the “prey” close up, and he was alerted by the unnatural “shine” of the spinner.

Maybe during the “zhora” the color of the spinner does not matter at all. But how often do we end up on the "zhor"? But when the fish is capricious (and this is almost always), the wrong color of the bait can ruin the whole fishing trip. But by choosing the right color of the lure, you can catch your hobby friends even in the absence of a bite.

I have already noticed many times that fish that greedily bite on a white spoon early in the morning begin to become capricious as the sun rises. Once a friend and I were catching pike from the same boat on Lake Ilmen. Shallow, clean water. I set up a turntable, he put up a vibrating machine. In the morning, the “toothy” one was gulping white spoons, then both of them began gatherings, “seeing off”, and there was a lull. One would have thought that the morning bite was over. However, when we put out baits of other colors, the pike began to bite again, especially on copper spoons.

By the way, in comparison with spinners and wobblers, for oscillating spinners, due to their size and metallic luster, color takes on special significance.

Most spinners come in natural metallic colors: silver-white, golden-yellow and copper-red. In this case, the coating itself can be smooth or matte, polished or darkened.

Brightly sparkling lures work better in low light conditions (cloudy weather, great depth) or when a predator is actively biting. Fish are especially attracted to matte silver, as this coating has the highest light reflectance.

Brass and copper are more versatile, especially since they can either be polished to a shine or smoked to black. Maybe this is an accident, but I caught almost all the large pikes on brass and copper spoons.

Although it seems to me that the fish are afraid not so much of a light surface as of a smooth surface. After all, mirror metal produces such blinding reflections that a predator immediately recognizes the catch. Therefore, in clean and shallow water, such “mirror” spinners should be avoided in every possible way.

To prevent the spoon from “blinding” the fish, but to play with diffused light, its surface is often made scaly or painted with matte paints.

Various holographic and reflective stickers are often used on oscillating spoons. Despite their shiny surface, they do not scare away predators because their color imitates natural scales. In addition, the stickers have a unique light-scattering pattern and, as a rule, additional tint. However, lures with stickers work better in low light conditions, so you shouldn’t overuse them.

For many vibrators, the convex and concave surfaces are made of different colors: either they are made from various metals at once, or the outer part is painted over or sealed. When moving, such a spinner periodically “shows” one side or the other, and the play of light from continuous and monochromatic becomes intermittent and “flickering.” Therefore, in most cases, the predator respects two-color vibrators more.

Colors of spinners - which ones are better?

We talked about the general color of the vibrators, now let's touch on the subtleties of coloring.

If a large surface “shins” too much, it means that it needs to be divided into several sections with different reflectivity. It can be done different ways- painting, pasting or “scratching”.

But this is a separate article - The most catchy do-it-yourself spoon

Spoons are now painted in the most incredible colors. There are heated debates among anglers about the effectiveness of certain colors, but, perhaps, only spinners have something that other baits do not have - a bright metallic, even mirror-like, shine, and I believe it plays a huge role in their catchability. Only, in my opinion, negative...

Theory

Very often there are statements that pike bite more actively on matte spoons, avoiding highly shiny ones. There is probably some kind of homespun truth in this and, obviously, it would be a sin for us not to use it. But first, let's try to understand the reasons for this selectivity. Is it so? It seems that the spinner shines brightly, you can see it from a distance, the fish, without a doubt, should be interested in it, but it is enough to make the surface matte with the help of sandpaper or a pebble, and for some reason its catchability will increase. At least that's what many say. And they are talking not only recently - I have seen mentions of this in publications 20 and even 30 years ago. However, I don’t have statistics, and I can’t have them; all I have to do is trust the experience of generations, and I can’t help but believe such statements - it’s too similar to the truth.

Why is a brightly reflective spoon considered less catchy? What's the downside of glitter? Moreover, the majority of spinners on sale are shiny and even polished. The most direct analogy is a soldier in battle: “Flash from the right! Get down! Yes, she, the fish, is simply scared of the sharp glare! And I would be scared - I’m swimming on my own, not bothering anyone, and suddenly there’s a flash of light! On the right... This is where you begin to understand that same pike homespun - colored and dull lures do not have too bright a shine, their shine is not the same, but much more subdued. In other words, such a spoon is probably less noticeable from a distance, but it certainly does not frighten the fish with sharp flashes of the reflected sun and, obviously, has a greater chance of being attacked. Looking over my trophies, which I caught with all kinds of lures, including spinners, I remember that all my main achievements were accomplished with lures that either lost their former shine or were not very shiny to begin with.

I can’t help but mention the numerous testimonies about the almost fantastic catchability of the Black Fury turntable. The one with a black petal with several light dots on this background. Perhaps Black Fury is truly an out-of-the-ordinary turntable, and it’s not for nothing that many people praise it. It seems to me that due to the fact that it is matte, it does not have elements that can scare the fish with shine, but only attracts.

What can you do with a glare spinner? Making it matte is a simple solution, probably effective, but unaesthetic. It’s a bit of a shame to sand a polished beauty lure, and not all lures are made of stainless metals - the chrome or copper-brass appearance of a lure is most often given by a protective coating. It’s a couple of trifles to rip it off, and underneath it is a simple ugly piece of metal. This means we apply make-up to the spoon, that is, paint it, and from now on we buy either painted spoons or with a protective coating, but with the expectation of subsequent painting.

Here, however, the accounting principle in us must resist: lures in stores are not cheap, but do they need to be painted? Paint also costs money. Is it expensive? I assure you that for “handy” people, painted spoons will cost several times cheaper than branded unpainted ones. The secret is simple - products of Asian spinner making. Who will stop you from buying a batch of identical spinners, for example 50 pieces at 20 rubles per piece, painting them as you please, and having the pleasure of fishing with your own painted spinners for several years? Don't you need that much? Cooperate with friends, that's what I did. True, the final price of each spinner has increased slightly, due to the fact that everyone bought the paint for themselves.

I’ll tell you right away - you need to put aside all far-fetched prejudices against cheap Chinese spinners. They sometimes play and catch no worse than expensive branded ones, and the fact that they are made of ferrous metal with a protective coating “like chrome” or “like copper” does not make them worse. Do you think that such a spoon will rust quickly? And I think that you will leave this miracle on the snag faster than corrosion will touch it. But the most important thing, of course, is the price. To get an excellent bait for 30 rubles - what more do you need, especially in not the most better days for the economy?! It’s up to you to decide what to buy - there is no statistical evidence that a spinner that costs ten times more catches the same amount better. However, there is no reverse statistics that the cheapest spoons in terms of quantity and quality of catches give a head start to more expensive spoons. The catchability of a spoon depends not on its price, but on the hands of the fisherman, including, as we suggested above, on how much it shines. Now we will begin to eradicate the wrong “brilliance”.

Painting shop

First, get rid of the fear that it won’t work out. Everything will work out! The spinner will look no worse than a factory-painted one. And even if it turns out a little worse, it’s also not scary. The quality of coloring does not in any way affect the catchability of the spoon. And if so, first let’s try to master the simplest technology and leave everyone the opportunity to improve themselves as a spinner painter.

You will need a place for a painting shop - a garage, a shed, or at least an open balcony. The paint has a pungent odor, and inhaling its vapors does not improve your health - you need good ventilation. I paint on the balcony, with the window and door tightly closed so that the “aroma” of the solvent does not blow into the room.

We've decided on the place, now we're going to the store. It is more convenient to paint with spray paint. And what kind of paint it will be is not fundamentally important. It can be acrylic paint, alkyd, some kind of household or special automotive paint. You are only painting a spinner, not a spacecraft - you shouldn’t be too picky. Although, of course, a spinner hanging on an underwater snag looks much more courtly if it is painted with some specialized and obviously not cheap spinner paint. There probably is one, I haven’t seen it, although I haven’t looked for it. I don’t know if primer is needed for metal, I don’t use it. Instead of primer, I cover the lure with white paint. In principle, this is also not necessary; I prime it with white only if the spinner will later be painted with bright colors, because their color is conveyed much more accurately and brightly. Andrei Rublev also painted the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Vladimir in white. If the colors are dark or shades of red, you can paint the color directly according to “chrome” or “copper”.

It’s up to you to decide what color scheme you want to paint your lures in. Try to imagine the very best colors... I guess that, after thinking carefully, you will spit on all these theories about colors that attract fish, and color your lures the way you want. Simply, from the heart, delving into the creative search for beautiful combinations. And suddenly, unexpectedly for yourself, you will realize that even a spoon painted in ordinary white color will bring you more than one kilogram of fish - it does not glare, but is noticeable.

If you spray paint other than the original white, it is not necessary to paint the entire lure a solid color. For example, the photographs show the most primitive way of decorating a spinner with a transition from one color to another. Or you can paint using, for example, a mesh (a distant imitation of fish scales) or an old comb (for coloring striped spinners by shading the background). You can also sprinkle cosmetic glitter on the fresh paint of the spoon, apply additional designs with a permanent marker, and craftsmen can paint the spoon with a brush under Khokhloma or Gzhel - all this makes your spoon more unique. Experiment to your heart's content!

When your unpainted lures arrive from the Middle Kingdom, it won’t hurt to remove the winding rings and hooks from them before painting. Moreover, it would be nice to use a special winding ring releaser for this manipulation, but if you don’t have one, a knife will do just fine. Alternatively, wrap a piece of masking tape or duct tape around the rings and hook. The manipulation is aimed at ensuring that the rings and hooks are not stained with paint. In principle, the dirtyness of these parts does not affect the performance of the spinner, but we paint spinners not only to get rid of the bright shine we don’t need, we are also chasing beauty. Can you imagine if Andrei Rublev, while painting the walls and vaults of the Assumption Cathedral, had splashed paint on all the windows and doors? It's the same here. So, let's film!

Do I need to degrease or matte the surface of the spinner before painting? From the point of view of strict painting technology, no doubt. Then the paint will adhere more firmly. True, I myself skip such operations, i.e. I approach the issue simply - I painted it, dried it (the drying time is written on the paint can), put on rings with hooks and rinse the freshly painted spoons in the river. If any of them got torn, rattling against each other in a box or hitting rocks in a pond, or from pike teeth, I dusted the house with paint, up to a complete repainting, and then I enjoy life further. However, most often nothing happens to the spinners, and they quite successfully attract fish. Moreover, interestingly, even mercilessly stripped...

So, you have already chosen a good quality spinning rod for fishing, you are in a great mood and aim to return home only with a large amount of catch.

However, having missed the right choice bait, the whole trip risks turning into a waste of time and effort when the fish will bypass your hook a mile away.

As for spinners, the range is really extensive, and among all the variety, it will be quite difficult for a novice fisherman to give preference to one or another bait without first explaining what a spinner is and what the principle of its operation is.

What is a spinner?

In the fishing community, a spinner is usually called a type of bait, which is characterized by the presence of one or several hooks, and with the help of its appearance creates an imitation of a small fish or insect.

It usually looks like a small metal petal and comes in a variety of colors.

The principle of operation of such bait is to produce certain vibrations and flashes under water, with the help of which the fish are carefully lured onto a hook thrown into its habitat.

Kinds

Among the variety of models presented, in order to purchase exactly the option that will most satisfy all the tasks set, it is necessary to consider all in more detail existing types this bait.

These include the following types:

Based on the name, you can understand that the operating principle of this bait consists of oscillating movements, to which any bait actively reacts. predatory fish.

Thus, by performing such vibrations, a fairly plausible imitation is created small fish, attracting the attention of prey with the shine of its metal plate.

On one side of such a spoon a hook is attached using a swivel, and on the opposite side - a fishing line. The use of this type of bait in the autumn may appeal to all predatory fish, which react very actively to oscillating bait before the start of winter.

Spinners

Among fishermen you can also find such a name as turntables. Such models are distinguished by a rather complex design, consisting of a five-centimeter rod, which is attached to the leash using a winding ring on one side.

Hooks, an anchor and other devices are already attached to the other end. Thanks to its rotational movements, this lure quickly attracts predators and forces prey to fall on your hook.

A distinctive feature of such artificial bait is the presence of a certain cylindrical shape, and its use is most often aimed at casting fishing.

Spinner “non-hooking”

Its main secret was a special manufacturing technique, thanks to which the hook is securely hidden under a metal mesh and comes out only when the fish swallows the bait inside.

It is this technique that helps the fisherman avoid any snags that negatively affect the quality of the gear used.

How to increase your fish catch?

Over 7 years of active fishing, I have found dozens of ways to improve the bite. Here are the most effective ones:

  1. Bite activator. This addition of their dry blood is the strongest lure for fish in cold and warm water. Discussion of the bite activator “Hungry Fish”.
  2. Increased gear sensitivity. Read the appropriate manuals for your specific type of gear.
  3. Pheromone-based lures.

Which one and how to choose?

When purchasing the spinner you need, you should rely on the following rules that will help you choose the most suitable option:

  1. Before giving preference to any species, you should decide what predator your bait will be aimed at and under what weather conditions you are planning your trip.
  2. If the water in the reservoir is quite cloudy, it is better to use spinners with a characteristic, more intense shine.
  3. Baits with an overly polished metal surface should be avoided, because such blinding reflections in the water will only frighten your prey.
  4. If the weather promises to be clear and the water is clear, then you can take with you matte versions of spinners with detailing in the form of scales.
  5. When targeting perch or pike perch, you should opt for smaller baits, but if you want to get a pike on your hook, you should give preference to fairly large spoons.
  6. Beginning fishermen should not divert their attention to the huge number of products on offer, but it is best to opt for the fluctuating options of spinners, which will be easiest for a beginner to handle.

How to catch?

Not only the type of fish caught, but also the quantitative content of your catch will depend on the correctness of the chosen fishing technique.

Pike fishing

For a successful hunt for this live bait, you should take the following tips into account:

  1. It is better to choose a rod with a length of 2.10-2.40 m, the test of which would be size 5-20.
  2. Any inertia-free reel will do, and it is better to choose a fishing line based on 0.25-0.28 mm in diameter.
  3. As for the spinner, in this case you should opt for oscillating models.
  4. During the fishing process, the bait is lowered to the bottom, then using the tip of a spinning rod, the spoon is lightly tossed and a fairly slow retrieve is performed.

Perch fishing

To catch this fish, it is advisable to use the following rules:

  1. It is better to choose a fishing rod that is light and elegant and has a length of 2.1 m.
  2. Give preference to spinners, although spinners are also effectively used to catch this predator.
  3. It is worth using the technique of evenly retrieving the bait, during which the bait is carefully and without acceleration, while winding the fishing line onto the reel.

Asp fishing

To catch this strong and fairly large fish, you should follow several fairly effective rules:

  1. It is better to choose a spinning rod up to three meters long with a test whose size does not exceed 70 g. As for the fishing line, options with a diameter of 0.2-0.25 mm are suitable.
  2. Preference should be given to spinner spoons weighing from 30 to 45 g.
  3. A distinctive feature of fishing is the use of surface techniques, when fishing is carried out on the very surface of the reservoir.

  1. If you are afraid of a possible snag, you should still not move the bait at too high a speed.
  2. It is most effective to carry out a slower wiring, making short stops.
  3. You should not cast your bait over a long distance, because most of the predators are mainly located in close proximity to the shore;
  4. When choosing a spinner, it is better to give preference to multi-colored options rather than opting for plain models of such bait;
  5. It is best if you choose those types of spinners, thanks to which you have already had a good quantitative catch;
  6. When using a “spinner”, you should stop such a bait for a few seconds during the retrieval process in order to mislead your prey, and thereby make the predator think that its prey has become quiet and wants to attack.

Making a spinner with your own hands

Lately, bait prices have become quite steep. This is especially true for good catchable spinners, which have always been expensive anyway. As for cheap fakes, few people are interested in them.

In order not to spend extra money on fishing, many fishermen have gotten into the habit of making spinners with their own hands. Moreover, they make almost all types of baits, including spinners, wobblers, and even silicone baits. This is quite interesting, and there is something to do with your free time.

The easiest bait to make is a spinner. Despite this, if done correctly, it becomes an indispensable tool in the hands of the fisherman and is quite catchy.

Homemade spinner manufacturing entails a number of advantages:

  • Ease of manufacture. At home, the technology for making spinners is somewhat simpler.
  • Minimum expenditure of financial resources. The technology does not involve the use of expensive elements.
  • Possibility of using scrap materials. This factor allows you to make a cheap spinner.
  • A huge field for experiments and flights of fancy.
  • Possibility of creating your own model.
  • Preparing the spinner takes a minimum of time.
  • You can make as many baits as you need and not be afraid every time that you might lose the bait.

With a responsible approach to the manufacture of bait, you can end up with a model no worse than the most expensive and most catchy branded one.

At the same time, you should choose a universal model that can be suitable for any fishing conditions. This is the so-called “torpedo”. It plunges into the water almost vertically and is capable of playing at a minimum speed.

To make such a universal bait you need to have:

  1. Thin sheet metal, preferably stainless steel. An aluminum container cut into several fragments will do. They will serve as the basis for the manufacture of several universal baits at once.
  2. Thin wire or guitar string. The material must not rust.
  3. Two swivels.
  4. GOI paste.
  5. Winding rings.

Manufacturing technology

  1. At the first stage, a template for the future spinner is drawn. The aluminum contour should be cut out quite carefully. It is better to first transfer the drawing onto thick cardboard and only then transfer the drawing to an aluminum blank. As a last resort, you can get by with the shape of a tablespoon and trace it on a piece of aluminum.
  2. The workpiece must be folded in half to create two symmetrical parts.
  3. All irregularities must be sanded with sandpaper.
  4. Fasteners are soldered to the aluminum template. The fastener consists of two swivels connected to each other by a thin wire. It’s better, of course, if you have an unnecessary guitar string. At the same time, you will have to try hard, since it is quite difficult to solder aluminum.
  5. After this, we can say that the spoon is ready and can be used. To make it more attractive, it is polished using GOI paste. Some anglers claim that the line can break if it is attached directly to the spoon. To prevent this from happening, winding rings should be installed. Depending on how many layers of solder are applied, you can get a spinner of different weights.

As a rule, making such a universal spoon can take only a few hours.

The Karasik spinner is widely used by fishermen. It is sold in fishing departments, but it can easily be made at home. This lure is characterized by a peculiar game that attracts predators.

What do you need:

  1. A small piece of copper sheet.
  2. Hook.
  3. Metal plate.
  4. Mounting ring.
  5. Drill.

How to make

  1. To begin with, a template is drawn on a piece of the main material, which is a rhombus of certain sizes.
  2. After this, the diamond is cut out using sharp scissors.
  3. The minor axis is calculated on the workpiece and the diamond is bent along this contour.
  4. The workpiece is laid horizontally and a metal plate in the form of a triangle is soldered to its lower part. It is desirable that the dimensions of this triangle be minimal.
  5. A hook is soldered to this plate.
  6. A ring is attached to the top of the workpiece for attaching the fishing line, but before that you need to drill a hole.
  7. After this, the spinner is ready. To make it more attractive, it is cultivated with sandpaper.

From the manufacturing technology, it is clear to anyone that it will take a minimum of time and a minimum of material that can be found in any barn or garage if you rummage well. It would not be a pity to lose such a bait, since its production can cost a penny. Otherwise, the result is a fairly catchy bait that can easily compete with a similar type of factory-made bait.

Before production begins, the nature of the muddy water and whether fish can live in this water. The water can be so cloudy and dirty that it is unlikely that any fish other than crucian carp can survive in it. The purpose of the bait is to attract fish and provoke them to bite.

If the water is clean and transparent, then the fish sees the bait at a great distance. If the water is cloudy, then the fish have certain difficulties identifying the bait. For such conditions, it is necessary to make a bait from a special, shiny material.

For production you will need:

  1. It is better to take a chrome pipe as the main material, which will have to be cut in half.
  2. Knife or scissors for working with metal.
  3. Sandpaper.
  4. Drill.
  5. Soldering kit: soldering iron, solder and acid.

Manufacturing technology

  1. The prepared blank from a piece of chrome-plated pipe is brought to perfection. In other words, it needs to be shaped like a spoon. The workpiece may need to be bent or slightly straightened.
  2. The bait is cut strictly according to the template.
  3. It is better if the shape of the workpiece resembles a small fish.
  4. A hook is attached to the wider end of the workpiece using soldering.
  5. The edges of the workpiece should be thoroughly cleaned with sandpaper, otherwise the line may break upon contact.
  6. A hole is drilled on the narrower part and a winding ring is inserted.
  7. The spoon is ready for use. If necessary, it can be sanded a little with GOI paste.

This kind of bait can catch perch perfectly.

Many anglers practice fishing with weight heads. For such a weight-head you can make a rotating spoon. It is more attractive to fish than an oscillating spoon, therefore, you can count on more bites.

To make it you need to prepare:

  1. The basis of the spoon is a cylindrical material, preferably stainless steel.
  2. Drill.
  3. Soldering iron, solder and acid.
  4. Decorative components.

Manufacturing

  1. The main task is to select a cylindrical bait element of a certain weight. The main thing is that once it hits the water, it immediately submerges. If this does not happen, then the part is not suitable. You can check at home by running water into the bath.
  2. In this part you need to drill a hole so that a thick fishing line can be threaded through it.
  3. The hook is attached in such a way that its tip is directed towards the sinker.
  4. If necessary, additional decorative elements are attached to the cylinder using glue. You can simply tie it with multi-colored threads.
  5. For greater attractiveness, the body of the cylinder can be polished using GOI paste.

Such a bait can rotate in the water, creating turbidity and attracting fish. Therefore, you can always count on a catch. Moreover, such a spinner is not inferior in its characteristics to branded models.

As a rule, the bulk of the fish are found in places where you cannot reach them with traditional baits. At the very first cast, as a result of a hook, you have to say goodbye to yours, enough catchable bait. In such conditions, a non-hooking line will help you catch fish. You can either buy it or make it at home.

To do this you will have to stock up:

  1. Steel wire, diameter 0.3-0.5 mm.
  2. Mustaches.
  3. An analogue of a spinner.
  4. Crochet.
  5. Soldering iron and solder.

Manufacturing

  1. You need to take the hook and secure it to the spoon using soldering. You can solder either a single or double hook, which can be purchased at the store.
  2. WITH inside The antennae are attached in such a way that they seem to overlap the tip of the hook.
  3. After this, the finished spoon is soldered to the wire. This is a spinner that can take a lot of time and money to make. Despite this, in terms of catchability it can compete with the best factory models.
