Hot weekend at Moscow Raceway: Race of the Stars and a marathon in one bottle. Race of Stars "Behind the wheel": the pulse is normal! Racing magazine stars behind the wheel

For the second year in a row, the Race of Stars for the prizes of the Za Rulem magazine is held not in winter, but in summer - on the Moscow Raceway track near Moscow. As in the previous season, its participants were waiting for two semi-finals of seven laps and three final races for the top six - sprints in one lap starting from one line. All races on a short 2154-meter configuration of the track were held on "civilian" tires Continental. And the main innovation was the admission to the start of not only 1600 cc National class vehicles, but also cars of the R2B and S1600 categories. However, the athletes did not have much desire to risk expensive equipment - only Muscovite Alexei Vasilyev decided to participate in the race on a Citroen Saxo hatchback.

In Kalina, the first generation is gradually fading away, but in the Race of Stars they are still competitive. Only a mistake in the first final prevented Alexander Artemiev from Kazakhstan (No. 17) from finishing the competition on the podium

There was not a large number of participants themselves. Of the more than fifty invited to the start, only 15 athletes came out, of which only two - Tatyana Eliseeva and Anastasia Voronkova - represented non-asphalt disciplines. According to the organizers, there were several reasons for such a low "attendance": in addition to purely economic, the late announcement of the race also played its role - it was announced just five weeks before the start.

It all started with the qualification, which was won by Muscovite Gleb Kuznetsov, driving a Volkswagen Polo sedan, with a frightening margin of 1.1 seconds. But it's one thing - the fight with a stopwatch, and quite another - tight races side by side. However, in the first semi-final, Kuznetsov began to confidently break away from his rivals, until his car started having problems with the gear shift mechanism. And although Gleb had a strong second semi-final, none of his main rivals allowed a misfire, and did not allow the young Muscovite to break into the decisive part of the competition by the sum of two races.

Problems with the gearshift mechanism left the audience without a face-to-face duel between Yegor Sanin and the winner of the qualification Gleb Kuznetsov (pictured)

The list of finalists, by and large, was clear even before the start. Someone, like Anastasia Voronkova, lacked speed, someone, like Vitaly Larionov, was hindered by a slow Renault Logan, prepared according to the “serial” D2N group. Surprises could only be expected from the struggle for third places in their subgroups. But they did without them: Alexey Vasiliev passed only one semi-final, and Anton Zakharov and Andrey Sevastyanov stopped the fight after the accident. Of the semi-final events, one can note the daring ride of Vladimir Cherevan, who, driving the “deserved” Honda, kept the fast Egor Sanin behind for a long time and almost deprived the Ulyanovsk player of his place in the finals. But in the end, the only surprise was that Tatyana Eliseeva got into the top six, who was helped by the failures of Gleb Kuznetsov.

After the first final, it seemed that Andrei Petukhov would become the winner of the Race of Stars: the pilot from St. Petersburg confidently won this race. However, in the second race, the initiative passed into the hands of Yegor Sanin, and Petukhov fell under the hot hand of Nikolay Karamyshev, who immediately turned from a leader into a catch-up. Having won the third final, Petukhov earned a rerun for first place, but Sanin was still faster in it. Well, the third winner of the competition was their last year's victor, Nikolai Karamyshev.

The fate of the victory in the Race of Stars was decided in the rerun for the first place, in which Yegor Sanin became the winner

Asphalt Race of the Stars again left a strange feeling. On the one hand, the small number of participants was compensated by the dashing struggle in the top three. However, if in the winter we watched battles between representatives of different racing disciplines, then the summer competitions, alas, turned into a brawl of ring racers. However, it is likely that we will still see the Race of Stars in a more familiar format - there were enough hints about a possible return from asphalt to ice from the camp of its organizers.

Just a couple of hours after the finish of the Zarulevo competitions, the fourth four-hour Russian Endurance Challenge (REC) marathon started at Moscow Raceway. The main difference between this year's race and previous marathons is the addition to the "top" standings and the absence of Porsche cars. If before that most of the peloton in REC was made up of participants on modest racing vehicles, then this time there were only five of 15 such cars: two Russian sports cars, Sergey Zagumennov's Lada Granta and a couple of National class cars from B-Tuning and Zenit Motorsport teams.

In the prototype class, the duet of the G-Drive Racing team consisting of Georgy Efrosinin and Igor Mukhin turned out to be out of competition

After the initial confusion - the riders could not line up in two lines for a long time, as it should be when starting on the move - the race was led by the crew of the G-Drive Racing team led by Georgy Efrosinin on the Ligier JS51 prototype. But as soon as the roundabouts started (and they started after the first seven laps of the distance!) the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 coupe with Andrey Agafonov at the wheel took the lead. At the beginning of the second hour, a downpour hit the track, after which the race turned into chaos. The difference on a four-kilometer circle between riders of the same class reached ten seconds!

In the fight for victory in the overall standings, the rain helped the Capital RT crew get ahead of lighter prototypes

Under such conditions, stability and reliability came first. In this sense, the result of Sergey Zagumennov's crew speaks for itself: his Lada Granta finished fifth in the overall! The duets of the Capital RT teams (Andrey Agafonov and Boris Abramov) and the BF Team - Anton Nemkin and Ivan Lukashevich, who drove Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, fought for the last hours for the victory. The last segment was carried out more strongly by the pursuers on the Italian supercar: Lukashevich won back from the competitors by 5-7 seconds per lap! However, Ivan still did not have enough time to catch up with the leader, and the Agafonov / Abramov crew became the winner of the marathon. Well, among the prototypes, the G-Drive team won, ahead of its closest rivals by 20 laps.

Race of the Stars "Behind the Wheel"
Final race results

The day before the unforgettable quarterfinal with the Croatian national team, the Russian racing diaspora spent at the Moscow Raceway. The occasion is the traditional Race of the Stars of the magazine Za Rulem, which celebrates its 90th anniversary. And the race itself also entered a new age phase, since it first took place exactly forty years ago.

The format remained the same as in previous years: mid-summer, tarmac, heats, then three short finals for the top six drivers. Surprisingly, each time the same scheme generates completely different plots. The current version was different in that a clear favorite stood out among all the participants.

So obvious that the founders of the Race of Stars were seriously worried about the fate of the main prize - the Bronze Tire. A gentlemen's agreement, not spelled out in any document: a pilot who wins the Race of Stars three times gets Tire in perpetual possession. And on the account of the racer from Kursk Nikolai Karamyshev, who is now playing for the team Lukoil Racing already had two wins. Three years ago - in winter version at the Moscow hippodrome, and two years ago in the summer, here, on Moscow Raceway.

Everything would be fine, but the top pilot of the SMP RSKG ring series and the two-time winner of the European Cup, in addition to his obvious intentions, built and carefully tested a new combat vehicle specially for the Race of Stars - Volkswagen Polo . And he showed amazing time on it in qualifying races: the lap is one and a half seconds better than that of any of the venerable rivals.

Qualifying races did not become a serious obstacle for Nikolai. He won three of them convincingly, starting in both first and sixth positions. And I missed the fourth due to lack of motivation - two wins were enough to get into the final. In addition, it made sense to save the car and tires. Tires, by the way, were the same on all cars - road tires manufactured by the company Continental , a longtime main partner of Racing of the Stars. In addition, just at the time of the fourth qualifying run, a five-minute downpour hit the track, allowing Alexander Artemyev to excel ( Kia Rio ) - a titled pilot from Kazakhstan, the most distant guest of the Race of Stars. Who, after the awards ceremony, said that the rain helped him a lot.

By the time the finals started, the track was still wet, but wet unevenly. This gave the races an unprecedented sharpness - almost all the pilots made mistakes in turns many times. And those who could not keep up with Karamyshev on dry asphalt now looked quite combat-ready. And Andrey Petukhov stood out in particular ( Lada Kalina NFR ), representing at the same time St. Petersburg (at the place of birth and residence) and Togliatti (at the place of work - the factory team Lada Sport Rosneft).

Actually, the finals became a fierce duel between Karamyshev and Petukhov. So fierce that in the second run there was a series of side pushes. Karamyshev turned out to be the most affected in it, since it was his Polo flew off the track into the gravel, where only miraculously did not get stuck. Nikolai lost in this episode almost all chances for the final victory, and the judiciary decided that there was a contact fight allowed by the racing rules. Otherwise, Petukhov could be punished - for example, a fine of 30 seconds or even annulment of the result. True, this would not have returned the lost points to Karamyshev. Intrigue, however!

Alexander Artemiev skillfully took advantage of the ups and downs, eventually outstripping Karamyshev in points. So the main favorite did not even become a silver medalist, but only a bronze one. Although, of course, for someone who is set only to win and puts all his strength and soul into it, there is not much difference between second and third place.

So, Karamyshev left the track, not really hiding his annoyance. Artemiev looked quite pleased - this is understandable, if you know that Alexander with phenomenal persistence stormed the Race of Stars "Behind the wheel" for ten years and now, finally, he climbed the podium. And Petukhov and the audience received the highest degree of satisfaction. Oddly enough, but summer asphalt from year to year presents much more fascinating stories than winter ice. Thanks to everyone who came!

The official website of the Race of Stars "Behind the wheel" -.

Fees for traditional Race The stars, which is held by the magazine "Behind the Rulem", were unusual this time: they had to leave winter boots and a warm jacket at home! After that, go not to the hippodrome, but to the Moscow Raceway ring track, where the competition of the strongest (in theory) racers of the country was held for the first time in a summer, asphalt format. But before that, from 1978 to 2015, the Race of Stars was held exclusively in winter on ice ovals!

The change in format was radical. The riders had to qualify and two semi-finals of seven laps each in the short Sprint configuration. Three the best athlete from each group they got to the final, where they were waiting for three races in ... one circle. Moreover, the start in them was given according to the rally-cross: six participants started the race from one line. But the cars remained, in fact, the same: 1600 cc hatchbacks and sedans, prepared according to national requirements.

The use of road tires forced riders to change from a neat circuit style to aggressive riding with slips.

In contrast to previous years, in the finals, all riders competed on their own, and not on cars provided by the organizers. This time, the duel of Russian pilots with the invited Formula 1 star did not take place either - although in the summer version foreigners would have had much more chances of success than in the winter one. The change in format also affected the composition of the participants. Of the 24 riders, only Ildar Fattakhov, Mikhail Skripnikov, Grigory Burlutsky, Dmitry Voronov, Boris Cotello, Matvey Beresnev and Alexei Gromov made their careers in rally and cross. The rest represented exclusively ring races! True, there were also foreigners among the participants: Alexander Artemiev and Lyubov Andreeva flew to Moscow Raceway from Kazakhstan.

In qualifying, Alexander Artemiev showed an excellent third result. But, alas, during the semi-final races at the checkpoint on Kalina, the rider from Alma-Ata left only two gears ...

The winner of the previous Race of Stars, Nikolay Karamyshev, was the first to make a serious bid for success. In qualifying, the resident of Kursk, who competed in a Volkswagen Polo sedan, showed the fastest time - and immediately slid into the pits, having spent only two laps on the track. Although Nikolay lost the start of the first "selection", Karamyshev soon made up for lost time, winning the race against Efim Gantmakher from Moscow and Vladimir Sheshenin from the Urals in Kaliny. And in the second semi-final Andrey Maslennikov had no equal: the racer from Kostroma significantly broke away from the other pilots on Ladakh, Andrey Petukhov from St. Petersburg and Albert Gainullin from Bashkiria.

Despite the summer format of the race, Vladimir Cherevan from Orlovet remained faithful to his track Honda

In the second semi-finals, the top five riders got up on the starting grid in reverse order, and the races became livelier. And although the pilots had to knock around in turns, Nikolai Karamyshev again won the semi-final in his group. Together with him, Efim Gantmakher went further, but Vladimir Sheshenin, who finished second, received a 20-second penalty for a false start, losing his place in the decisive race to Pavel Kalmanovich. From the second group, Andrey Petukhov, Andrey Maslennikov and Vitaly Dudin from Togliatti went to the final in a Volkswagen.

Before the start of the race, Vladimir Sheshenin (No. 19) was considered one of the main rivals of Nikolai Karamyshev. However, a false start in one of the races did not allow the Urals to get into the final

The first two "sprints" were won by Karamyshev and Dudin. However, for a false start in the second final, the Togliatti resident received a "steering wheel" - so in the final race, the Kursk resident had to finish at least third place in order to win the honorary trophy. Despite another lost start, Nikolai was able to hold on to the Dudin-Petukhov pair, and entered the last turn along the inside trajectory almost side by side with his rivals. Well, when they also collided with each other, the Kuryan instantly squeezed forward and, having won all three races, won the second Race of Stars in a row.

Having won the second Race of Stars in a row, Nikolai Karamyshev has a chance to take the challenge trophy next season for eternal storage: according to the rules, after three victories, the Bronze Tire remains with the victor. True, before this, only Kirill Ladygin from Yekaterinburg managed to achieve such success.

Unlike winter competitions, the current Race of Stars turned out to be compact: it took the riders only about two hours to play for the title. Well, right after Nikolai Karamyshev left the podium, the four-hour marathon Russian Endurance Challenge was launched, which we will talk about separately.

It is expected that the new format was perceived differently by the riders. Someone liked everything, someone, seeing the parallels with rallycross, would like to see a gravel section on the track, and someone missed ice track hippodrome. Despite all the controversy of the new format, it must be said that the Continental road tires made the pilots slide on the asphalt, and the final races were dynamic and full of struggle - the race is one lap long and cannot be another!

Decisive races abounded in tight struggle. For example, at the start of the first final, Andrei Maslennikov did not avoid a collision with Nikolai Karamyshev

On the other hand, it is impossible not to notice that the Race of the Stars is going through better times. The number of participants is decreasing (for comparison: two years ago, 36 pilots took to the ice track), real stars and legends of Russian motorsport ignore the “zarulevskie” starts, and there are fewer and fewer representatives of disciplines other than the ring. And if earlier the Race of Stars managed to maintain its former greatness despite the vagaries of the weather, the old stands of the Central Moscow Hippodrome and driving among plastic bumpers, then the transition to asphalt turned it into the category of just one of the many ring events in Russia. However, probably, the same questions would be relevant if the organizers of the Monaco Grand Prix decided to hold their race in the format ...

Race of the Stars "Behind the Wheel"
Final race results

On the day of the Defender of the Fatherland, February 23 ... stop ... it seems that the report about the twenty-fourth Race of Stars "Behind the wheel" began in exactly the same way. Well, okay, this time we will talk about the twenty-fifth car competition on the track of the Central Moscow Hippodrome.

Who is too lazy to open the link and delve into the details of last year's event, I briefly remind you: the first start took place in 1978; competitions are held in winter; not riders participate, but pilots; there are horses, but only octane ones; for the victory they give a "tire"; this is real motorsport.

Like last year, I missed something again... this time I was forced to miss the very beginning of the race. As an excuse, I cynically admit that I rode around the track in a Renault Duster with Romain Grosjean, the pilot of the Lotus F1 Team.

It's a funny tradition for Renault to bring Formula 1 pilots to Russia, put them in a Duster and send them to ride on the ice. For one thing, and work as a taxi driver ... the circle around the track turned out to be too calm, as it seemed, Grosjean was very cautious. Well, yes, I guess I'm just already spoiled by the Belgian Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the Moscow Raceway near Moscow. You quickly get used to the good, yes.

After the "star taxi" I managed to talk a little with Grosjean in a narrow circle and ask a few questions. More precisely, the “narrow circle” asked questions, but I restrained myself. I wanted to ask what my impressions were from driving on ice and puddles, but for some reason this question seemed too provocative to me. And it’s better not to mention the new Renault engines in F1 at all. After all, we are not journalists, why put a person in an awkward position, and trolling is not always appropriate.

But back to the race… as I said above, the beginning passed successfully, when I got to the podium and found a place to shoot, the cars were already circling the track cheerfully.

As conceived by the organizers, the participants of the Race of Stars should drive on a snowy track, but the weather announced its own conditions. There were puddles under the wheels of the cars, hiding the ice underneath. It’s even hard to stand on your own two feet there, and you say to drive a car. In a word, the event had a chance to turn into a race to the bottom or a parody of Carmageddon.

The biggest disappointment for the race is the separate start. The cars went to the qualifying laps like in a rally, one at a time and with a slight delay. It is not difficult to guess that such a decision was dictated by the security conditions, but it almost completely deprived the race of entertainment.

The cars of the participants were lonely rushing past the stands. Occasionally, the cars managed to catch up with each other, and each overtaking attempt was perceived by the audience as an explosion of emotions.

Despite all the efforts of the organizers, there were still incidents on the track. The two chicanes (turn sequences) of road blocks added at the end of each straight became a natural obstacle for riders. Most of the contacts with the chippers took place there.

A Safety Car appeared on the track, again played by a beautiful yellow Renault Megane.

Almost every time the race was stopped until the victim (meaning the car) was completely removed. Then everyone lined up on the starting line and one by one continued their battle with the most dangerous enemy - time.

Many cars got it, but they continued to fight ... motorsport is insidious and cruel.

There were many races, each with several laps. Due to constant stops and repeated starts, I lost count, and then completely got confused, ceasing to understand who is in what place and what is happening in the overall standings.

It's a pity, but the informational support was delivered poorly. In fact, the choice arose whether to return to the hall for invited guests, eat, drink and watch what was happening through TVs or freeze on the street and watch everything with my own eyes. Perhaps it would make sense to choose the first option, but we need to show you the photos ... plus everything, on the podium, at least from the side where I managed to find a place to shoot, the speaker did not work well and the voice from the commentator's booth was completely indistinguishable.

By the way, about the photographs… most of the cards turned out to be of the same type, I had to shoot from one point. To get closer to the track, as last year, did not work, I sincerely envied the accredited journalists. If there was a little more access, it would be possible to turn around. Although, on the other hand ... they work, and I rest.

In the middle of the race, two Renault Dusters again appeared on the ice of the track, this time a demonstration race took place. Romain Grosjean and Timur Timerzyanov competed.

Timur Timerzyanov, two-time European champion in autocross and the best racer in Russia in 2013 according to Za Rulem magazine.

The cars got it even before the race, despite the slight bruising, Renault Duster rushed no worse than the rest of the race participants. As a result, with some ridiculous margin, Grosjean won. Well, compared to last year… you understand.

After a short break, the qualifying races continued ...

Again, a separate start and a single race against time.

A little variety in shooting plans. Eh ... 300 millimeters and a good crop allow you to somehow get out of the situation.

And it seems that everyone just disappeared behind the first turn ... and after a circle we already see a car with damage. Everything would be fine, you can even go ... but the regulations do not allow. Stop and restart again.

The race is slowly moving towards a victorious end ... more precisely, towards the final.

There is a version that the different headlights of this Lada Kalina are associated with the level of her viciousness ... just piss me off completely, they will both be red. A reasonable question, but will both be blue if it freezes?

Traditionally, the last stage of the race takes place on the same cars. The winners of the qualifying races voluntarily-compulsorily change to Renault Logan and arrange the final list.

“So, dear clones… get ready to attack!”

On your marks! Attention! March!

The final race began with a strong delay, the judges counted the time for a long time and identified the winners. Someone tried to disqualify. In general, there was a normal sports work.

Renault Logan is a good, albeit unsightly, car ... although it tastes and color. Personally, I like the look, but I'm a fan of the "square-practical-good" concept. All these licked squeezes from wind tunnels are not mine, sorry.

It took a long time to wait for the start of the final races, so at the end it was also very delayed with the calculation of the results.

According to the results, the first place had to be divided between two pilots who scored the same number of points. Therefore, the organizers had to conduct an additional race, in which Vladimir Sheshenin (Yekaterinburg, SMP Russian Bears) won. For whom it was the first victory in the Race of Stars.

Alas, everything dragged on too long ... at the very end I was forced to take my leave ahead of time and missed the extra run. But I sincerely hope you enjoyed the story. Write comments.

Oh yes, just like last year, your obedient servant managed to get to the event thanks to the invitation of Renault, for which many thanks to the whole company. Of course, there are separate thanks ... however, whoever needs it has already understood everything.

July 7 The Race of the Stars “Za Rulem”, timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the magazine, starts at the Moscow Raceway on July 7.

Maxim Kadakov, Editor-in-Chief of Za Rulem magazine: “The Race of Stars Za Rulem is a milestone event for Russian motorsport. Every year we bring together the fastest and most titled formula drivers, ring drivers, rally drivers and pilots from other disciplines to determine the best of the best in a confrontation. And the current race is special - anniversary. Moreover, the anniversary is double: the Race of Stars turns 40 years old, and the magazine "Behind the Rulem" - 90! Russian President Vladimir Putin has already congratulated us and our readers. Well, we invite all people with gasoline in their blood to share this holiday with us.”

For the first time the Race of Stars "Behind the Wheel" was held forty years ago in 1978 at the Central Moscow Hippodrome. It has repeatedly changed its format and venue: the Central Moscow Hippodrome, the Tushino Airfield (today the location of the Spartak Stadium), the Izmailovo Sports Complex in Moscow, the Ramensky Republican Hippodrome, the Izhevsk Hippodrome, on the city lake of Gus-Khrustalny. The race was intermittent, so this is the twenty-ninth season of the competition.

During its forty-year history, the race has remained a spectacular event in Russian motorsport and brings together Russian racers from different disciplines. The most titled Russian and foreign racers traditionally become guests and participants of the Race of Stars. Only in the last decade, Sebastian Loeb, Vitaly Petrov, Kimi Raikkonen, Mikhail Aleshin, Vladimir Chagin, Alain Prost, David Coulthard, Roman Grosjean and others took part in the competition or were its guests of honor. Initially, the Race of Stars "Behind the wheel" adhered to the winter format , but 2015 was the last year when the race was held on the ice of the CMI. Since 2016, the competition has been held in the summer at Moscow Raceway.

Igor Ermilin (general organizer, sports club ASPAS):

“It is possible that the thirtieth anniversary Race of the Stars “Behind the Rulem” will take place on an ice track in winter. However, the weather in central Russia began to surprise the organizers, due to strong thaws it became difficult to predict the presence of ice on the track months before the date of the competition.

Za Rulem magazine saved the event by moving the dates to the summer season. This initially caused a mixed reaction in the sports community. And yet, in the summer, the race acquired features similar to the rallycross that is popular in Europe today. Short races and distance, tense and unpredictable struggle - all this added sharpness and drama to the race. Athletes liked the format.”

Pilots participate in the Race of Stars "Behind the Wheel" in cars prepared according to the requirements of the Russian circuit championship.

Traditionally, the Editor-in-Chief of the Za Rulem magazine determines to whom to send invitations. Russian racing drivers are also invited - prize-winners and winners of national and international competitions, and those in whom the magazine sees an undeniable sports potential and a special will to win. The organizers of the competition have developed regulations that give young athletes the opportunity to express themselves. For the past few years, Continental road tires have leveled the odds of winning a race. This requirement of the regulations allows the skill of the pilot to manifest itself, and does not give an advantage to the technique.

For twenty-nine seasons of the Race of the Stars "Behind the Wheel", the challenge prize of the competition - the "Crystal Tire" - was given to only one athlete - Kirill Ladygin from Yekaterinburg, having won the race three times.

Last year, the "Bronze Tire" (a new challenge prize) went to the debutant - 18-year-old Egor Sanin from Tolyatti. Sanin became the youngest winner in the history of the competition.

The age of the participants ranges from 16 to 57 years, and it is worth noting that every year more and more girls receive invitations and take part in races.

In 2018, more than fifty race drivers received invitations to participate in the Race of Stars "Behind the Wheel", but the final composition of the participants in the competition will be known only before the start. The list will certainly include regular and titled participants in the competition: Muscovite Alexei Vasiliev and pilot from Orel Vladimir Cherevan, who have repeatedly climbed the podium. Nikolai Karamyshev from Kursk is a two-time winner and the only one who won the Race of Stars in both winter and summer formats. Having won for the third time on July 7, Nikolay will take the challenge prize - the Bronze Buster of the Race of the Stars "Behind the Wheel".
Start of the Race of the Stars "Behind the wheel" - 14:45.

After the Race of the Stars "Behind the Wheel", a four-hour marathon of endurance races, the Russian EnduranceChallenge, will traditionally take place.

Some participants of the Race of Stars "Behind the Wheel" will also start in the endurance race. Thus, in 2017, Alexey Vasilyev became a participant in two racing events at once. Alexey is considered one of the most titled Russian racing drivers. Master of sports of international class and a regular participant in the Race of Stars of the magazine Za Rulem.

Alexey Vasiliev:

“Every year I look forward to a personal invitation from the Editor-in-Chief of Za Rulem magazine to participate in the Race of Stars. Being a master of sports of the USSR, for me since childhood, this race has been the most significant event in domestic motorsport. Participation in the race has become a true tradition for me, in addition, I have repeatedly become its winner and winner.

More familiar to me winter format race. In my opinion, due to the busy summer schedule of competitions, not all the best Russian riders have the opportunity to take part in the Race of Stars. And I would like to meet on the track the generation of racing drivers with whom I already compete long years: your friends and rivals.

Initially, the competition was held on the fastest domestic cars. Now, in my opinion, the technical requirements for cars do not give the riders the opportunity to fully demonstrate their speed qualities on the asphalt track. This is especially true when compared to the GT cars I use in international competitions.”
