City Olympiad in Informatics. Olympiads in Informatics. Remote Olympiads “Mega-Talent” are convenient
The first Olympiad in computer science in Russia was held back in 1988, then it was called the All-Union Olympiad. Now schoolchildren from grades 5-11 are participating in the All-Russian Olympiad in Informatics...
The competition is held in four stages: school, municipal, regional and final.
All interested students in grades 5-11 participate in the first stage. Schoolchildren in grades 7-11 go to the municipal stage. The tasks at this stage become more difficult.
Regional and The final stage s are for grades 9-11. The tasks are given the same for all participants. Over the course of two rounds, the kids need to complete eight tasks on the computer.

Dear Member
Computer Science Olympiads!
The first stage of the Informatics Olympiad is a creative project.
Project activities include searching, processing and presenting information in the form of a creative project on one of the topics proposed to you:
Profession: cook.
Computer in the profession of a cook.
European cuisine.
Meat delicacies.
Vegetarian cuisine.
Modern technologies for preparing meat dishes.
Assortment and features cooking fish dishes.
Own theme.
The project must be submitted in the form of a presentation.
Guidelines for developing a presentation
When designing and creating your own presentation, you need to consider the following:
The presentation must have at least 15 slides.
First slide - title at which the topic of the speech (presentation) and the speaker are announced, the last one is Bibliography. The remaining slides are filled with content on the presented topic.
The information in the presentation should be easy to understand.
The information presented should be placed on the slides different ways: text, list, diagram, table, diagram, etc. (do not overload the slides with “pure” unstructured text).
The background of the slides can be customized using a template or your choice.
The information on the slide should be distributed proportionally, there should not be a lot of empty space, and the words should be readable.
All headings are in the same style (color, font type, size, style, alignment methods). There is no period at the end of the title.
The size and color of the font are selected so that it is clearly visible (when demonstrated through a projector - at least 24 points).
The text is aligned widthwise (in extreme cases, left aligned).
Underlining is not used in the text because it indicates a hyperlink in the document.
Graphic images (pictures, photographs, videos) are placed on slides at the user's request.
Set up animation effects on each slide (the title should appear first).
It is necessary to monitor the combination of all colors and color schemes used.
Customize the slide transition for each slide.
The animation should be timed, and the slides should change at the click of a mouse.
When giving a presentation, you cannot limit yourself to reading text from slides.
Before public speaking the presentation must be rehearsed, the text of the report, the information on the slides and the change of slides must be synchronous.

History and description
First graduate School Economics took part in organizing the Olympiads in Informatics in 2011, becoming one of the co-organizers Open Olympiad schoolchildren "Information Technologies", the main organizer of which was St. Petersburg National Research University ITMO. Since 2012, the Higher School of Economics has been a co-organizer of the Moscow Olympiad for Schoolchildren in Informatics. In 2013 the list subject olympiads As part of the Interregional Olympiad for schoolchildren, the “Highest Test” was replenished with an Olympiad in Informatics.
In 2013 and 2014, the Olympiad was held under the title “Modern information Technology" At the same time, the tasks included tasks not only in computer science, but also in mathematics. The Olympiad was held in two stages: the 1st (qualifying) was held remotely (online), the 2nd (final) was held in person simultaneously at the regional sites of partner organizations.
In 2015, the Olympiad began to be called the Olympiad in Informatics, maintaining the two-stage format. And already in 2015/2016 it was included in the List of Olympiads for schoolchildren, annually approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the content of the tasks has changed significantly. The tasks of the 1st stage consisted only of tasks in computer science, the purpose of which was to identify the general level of knowledge in computer science, as well as the skills of an algorithmic approach to solving non-traditional problems of the Olympiad participant. The tasks offered to the participants of the 2nd stage of the Olympiad involved writing program code as a solution and testing the solution on a group of tests in real time. The system was used to conduct the Olympiad ejudge . An essential feature of holding the 2nd stage of the Olympiad in a similar format is the need to install and support at the venues for the full-time stage of the competition a fairly wide range of language programming tools, determined various methods teaching computer science courses in Russian schools.
Since its inception, the Olympiad has been held with the active participation of MIEM NRU HSE. Currently, the Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) plays a significant role in organizing the Olympiad. Its teachers and staff are part of the methodological commission and jury of the Olympiad, develop tasks, analyze their solutions, and also coordinate the work of regional sites for the Olympiad.
Holding the Olympiad serves to develop the interest of young people in computer science, covering all aspects of the modern world. The applied goal of the Informatics Olympiad is to identify and attract the most talented and trained youth in the field of IT to study at the Higher School of Economics.
Activities and Events
The competition is focused on the development of creative abilities and the formation of competencies in project and research activities. For schoolchildren in grades 9-11.
