Map National Guard Training Ground (exterior)

Two hundred years ago, residents needed the protection of the National Guard more than ever before. This facility was expanded just before the nuclear strike. The Training Ground is currently being used by the Brotherhood of Steel to house and repair Power Armor.
National Guard Office
The top floor of this office is almost completely collapsed. The Knight Eistlin can be found in this place. If you examine it, the Lost Patrol quest begins. Shelley Tiller can also be found here if the (Silver Cloak) side quest is active.

North-West pillbox
An inactive robot guard is located here. The robot will activate and will be hostile if you enter the National Guard Armory.
Rusty containers
Watch out for an open container with a security gate (complex lock). Open to get Power Armor and Nuclear Block.
North-east pillbox
Ammunition inside and even more on the roof, courtesy of the Brotherhood of Steel. But you will need a Power Armor jetpack to get to the roof. Jetpack is given as a reward from the Brotherhood of Steel after completing faction quests.

The model of this power armor was developed by the surviving forces of the US Army after the Great War. This sample of power armor is made of a fairly light, but ultra-strong alloy, with reinforced seams with ceramic inserts. It is the best and at the same time the rarest piece of power armor found in Fallout 4.

To find this armor, your character's level must be at least 28, otherwise in the locations where the armor is located T-60!

The first location is Abandoned shack , go down to the basement, and then strictly down to the last floor, take the armor under the stairs.

This armor does not have right hand and the left leg.

In the location Customs tower, just west of the map marker, there is Court 35. On its roof is a complete set of X-01 type III that is guarded. To open the cabinet, you need to press two buttons in the rooms from which the robots come out. There is a bug associated with this set: before putting on this particular set, it will have the appearance of armor T-60 .

In the location South Boston military checkpoint there is a complete set of armor. You can get it by hacking the terminal on the street (the terminal level is difficult).

In the location National Guard training ground there is a small bunker (National Guard Depot), inside which you can find a power cage with four out of six parts (there will always be a body, limbs and a helmet at random).

Locations for research:

  • National Guard training ground
  • Satellite dish River Beach
  • Scout Bunker Theta

Three years ago, a Brotherhood of Steel squad was sent to the Commonwealth for reconnaissance. They never got in touch. They were officially declared missing, presumably dead. There are several ways to start the "Missing Patrol" quest:

  • You accidentally stumbled upon one of the members of the scouting group without knowing anything about this quest. Report this to Paladin Danse or Captain Kels, and the quest will activate.
  • You have completely completed one of the repeat quests of the Brotherhood of Steel, either Cleansing the Commonwealth from Knight Reese or Quartermaster from Scriptor Haylin. Talk to Paladin Danse or Captain Kels to receive the current quest.
  • You have completed the Brotherhood of Steel quest No Mercy. Talk to Captain Kels to receive this quest.
  • You have detected a distress call while traveling with the Danse paladin as your companion. He himself will want to tell you about the missing patrol, and the current quest is activated.

If you have not yet met the Brotherhood of Steel faction (or sided with the opponents), then you can still complete this quest. It's just that if you later decide to join them, then you can talk to the paladin Dance or Captain Kels about what you discovered and receive your reward.

Talk to Paladin Dance / Report your discovery to the Brotherhood of Steel

For the first three ways to start the quest, you will need to talk to the paladin Dance or Captain Kels, either that you have discovered something, or simply get the task — to find the missing patrol.

Find a reconnaissance group

Now your task is to find out what happened to the reconnaissance group. Subsequent searches can actually be conducted in any order. But we will go as the paladin Dance, our companion, suggests. The landing site was in the hills off Malden. Go there to search that area and determine where to go next.

Find the source of the signal for help

When you get to the Malden Hills, north of Boston, near Malden High School and Med-Tech Research, your Pip-Boy's radio will pick up a Distress Call. Tune your radio to this signal to find the source location by power level. Beware of the super mutants that live in this area.

The signal has taken you to the battlefield of the Brotherhood of Steel, to a ruined structure south of Med-Tek Research. There you will find the deceased knight Warham. After searching it, you will find a holotape from the battlefield. Grab his tokens too, they may come in handy.

Listen to a holographic recording from the battlefield

Insert the found holotape into your Pip-Boy. From it you will learn about the last minutes of Warham, as well as about the place where the rest of the squad went. This is an old military base.

Inspect the training ground of the National Guard

The National Guard training ground is located southeast of the Brotherhood of Steel battle site, where we found the first member of the scouting party.

When you get to the place, turn on your full attention. Destroy the turret on the building right in front of the entrance and do not step on the mine. The location is teeming with wild ghouls, so be prepared for this. Although you may have already been here in search of a military electrical circuit for a molecular emitter during the story quest "Molecular Level".

Enter the National Guard Recruitment Center, on the left you will find a barracks terminal (level - medium). It can be used to open the door and enter the National Guard barracks. But the signal for help leads you further, go past the terminal and turn into the corner room on the right. There you will find the deceased knight Astlin, like the previous one, take her holotape and tokens.

If you are interested in fully exploring the location and discovering all of its hiding places, then do not rush to leave. Go up to the second floor of the building. There, in the office opposite the stairs, in the table, you will find the National Guard officer's password, which you will need in the future.

In the next room in the far corner you will see a safe (castle level - medium) with ammunition and weapons.

We go downstairs and go to the door, access to which you opened by the terminal, behind it we kill the ghouls and enter the National Guard barracks. Go up to the second floor, in the office on the left there is an arsenal control terminal, you can access it using the previously found password of the National Guard officer and open the door of the armory located outside.

In the barracks room, which is located straight and to the right from the stairs, you will find a descent to the first floor. There is ammunition near the beds in green boxes, both on the first and second floors.

prompt

In the cafeteria, located on the first floor of the National Guard barracks, on one of the tables you will find US Covert Operations Guide Issue 3. With it, a magazine perk will open, with which it will be more difficult to detect you in the mode of stealthy movement. All magazine perks can be viewed.

Also on the ground floor is the exit to the National Guard training ground, which is where we need it. Use the terminal to open the door. Hacking the terminal is not required. On the street to the left will be the National Guard armory. There is a turret on the roof of the arsenal building - be careful.

On the territory of the training ground of the National Guard, a Security Robot is walking around, which will fire at you, like from a machine gun, if you catch his eye. Be careful.

Listen to a holographic recording of the Knight Astlyn

Listen to the holotape of the Knight Astlyn. In it, she reports that the remnants of the reconnaissance group went to a satellite dish on the coast. So, we continue to follow the trail of the corpses of the valiant soldiers of the Brotherhood of Steel.

Inspect the satellite station

The River Beach satellite dish is located east of the National Guard training ground and north of Prydwen. Beware of super mutans, there are a lot of them here, and there is practically no place to hide.

There are five satellite towers and a green metal structure that looks like vans on the territory of the location. In this building you will find a first aid kit and ammunition with weapons in a bag and a box. As for the satellite towers, then look at the screenshot of the "River Beach Satellite Dish" location above.

So, again we tune our radio to the "Distress Signal", as in the two previous cases, and go in search. You will find another deceased member of the Brotherhood of Steel scouting party, Scriptor Faris, on the far right tower, in a small wooden building. He has a holotape just like the others. And don't forget the Brotherhood of Steel tokens. Next to him you will find an ammo box and a first aid kit.

At the top of the front right satellite tower you will find an ammo box and super mutant armor.

At the top of the one in the middle without a satellite dish, you will find a box of ammunition (lock level - easy).

Climbing to the far left satellite tower, you will find a power armor frame without any spare parts and a chest with ammunition and weapons. And on the last (front left tower) there is nothing.

Listen to a holographic recording of Scriptor Faris

Listen to the holotape of Scriptor Faris, as it probably tells you where to look next. Of the entire squad, only the paladin remained. However, it is not yet known whether he is alive or also died. According to the records, the paladin Brandis went north to the bunker. Well, it's worth checking it out.

Inspect the bunker

Scout Bunker Theta is located far northwest of the River Beach Satellite Dish and Prydwen, on the edge of the map. Enter the access code obtained from the holotape into the terminal and open the door. Inside you will find absolutely alive, but slightly moved by the mind, paladin Brandis.

Talk to Paladin Brandis

Paladin Brandis is not himself, as he spent 3 years alone, and takes everyone for enemies.

So, you have several options to solve this problem:

  • Call him by name and say that you are from the Brotherhood, thus getting out of this situation peacefully.
  • Try to convince him using your charisma.

Charisma

You can tell paladin Brandis that you only came to talk (persuasion level - easy). If the persuasion works, the conflict will end peacefully, if not, then you can kill him.

You can send him to keep him out of trouble (persuasion level - hard). The alignment is the same: if it works - peace, if it doesn't work - war.

If the collision with the paladin Brandis ended in bloodshed, then take away from him unique weapon « Special survival kit"After you kill him.

Reference: Special survival kit

Damage: 52 (energetic)

Ammunition: Nuclear battery

Rate of fire: 44

Range: 203

Accuracy: 30

The weight: 6,4

Price: 360

Installed:

  • Photonic exciter
  • Sniper barrel
  • Tactical grip
  • Collimator sight
  • Beam splitter

Peculiarity: The lower your health, the more damage.

In case you manage to calm him down, you can end the conversation as you wish. Tell him about his squad and give them tokens if you wish. It touches him.

Charisma

Try to test your persuasion skills and try to persuade him to return to the Brotherhood of Steel (persuasion level - easy, medium, hard).

In the Theta scout bunker, you will find a nuclear power armor block in the generator, a first aid kit, food, a chest and a box of ammunition and weapons.

Meet Paladin Danse at the entrance

Exit the bunker and meet with the paladin Danse, if he was your companion on this quest. He wants to talk about Brandis.

Talk to Paladin Danse

Looks like Danse is upset. In addition, I am sure that the paladin Brandis has become so wild in three years that he is unlikely to be the same. If you had to kill Brandis, then Dance will be angry. In any case, the task is completed, and it's time to report to Captain Kels on the missing patrol.

Report to Captain Kels / Talk to Paladin Dance

If you have not yet completed the first part of the story quest, that is, you have not completed the "Reunion" quest, then return to the Cambridge police station for a reward from Paladin Dance.

Reward: 200 caps

If you have already moved on to the second part of the plot, that is, you have started or completed the quest "Dangerous Thoughts", then return to Pridwen and receive a reward from Captain Kels.
