What does Daria Domracheva do after finishing her sports career? Biography Belarusian athlete Daria Domracheva

Hello friends! Today, with this article, I want to start an experiment in increasing traffic to my website by writing articles dedicated to the Winter Olympics in Sochi. These posts are my original rewrite. The goal of the experiment is to increase blog traffic using low-frequency queries dedicated to the Winter Olympics in Sochi. After all, before and during some grandiose event or holiday, the number of requests increases several tens or even thousands of times. This is the factor I want to use in this experiment.

I present to your attention biography and a selection of photographs and videos of the best biathlete in the world today - the Belarusian athlete Daria Domracheva.

Biography of Daria Domracheva

Until she was four years old, Dasha lived in Minsk. Then she moved to Russia - to Siberia. For this stage of her life, Daria must thank her parents, who set off to build a new Siberian city. Nyagan is located on the border of the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug and the Tyumen Region. Her mother was the main architect of this city. The Domrachev family lived here for about 15 years, although at first they expected a maximum of 5 years.

The move from the Belarusian capital to Siberia largely determined Daria’s future. The girl was active, restless and very energetic. This energy needed an outlet, so the girl ended up in the ski section. Before this, Daria tried many activities: from the first grade she learned to dance, took up basketball for six months, fell headfirst from the horizontal bar, and only then in 1992 she enrolled in the ski section.

Her brother Nikita also skied, but not for long. Soon he quit the section and took up architecture seriously, and his younger sister immediately liked skiing... Therefore, while studying at school, Daria appeared in the sports school much more often than in the general education school. At school she had many favorite subjects, but in first place, of course, was physical education. I didn’t really like the exact sciences, but I simply adored history and geography. Daria has always been inquisitive. She always had a burning desire to explore the world in all its diversity: countries, cities, continents, people, past, present and future.

Nevertheless, Dasha graduated from school among the good students. The conquest of sports peaks was even better and more successful. Almost from the first training session, the trainers singled out this lively girl from hundreds of students. It seems that later they more than once regretted letting the young talent go to Belarus. But it was the efforts of the first coaches that helped Daria stay in the ski section and over time grow into a strong competitor to her teammates.

In 1999, Albert Musin and Viktor Postnikov invited Domracheva to try herself in biathlon. Dasha liked this proposal. Musin put her on skis, and Postnikov armed the young athlete with a rifle. After completing his sports career, Postnikov opened a biathlon school in Nyagan, and Domracheva was among its first students.

One day, when Daria arrived in Minsk, she was offered to compete for Belarus as part of the women's team. Daria agreed because she dreamed of competing for her native country. So she left Nyagan and began training with the Belarusian national team. Then, within six months, she had to seek the right to compete for her native Belarus, and not for Russia, and her Belarusian birth certificate became the decisive factor in this. At that time, Daria Domracheva was already a multiple champion of Russia among young girls, and was also a prize-winner of European level competitions.

International career of Daria Domracheva

In 2005, at the World Junior Championships, she finished 40th in the first individual race. This was the first major international start for the Belarusian national team. During the competition, at the third shooting stage, she made five misses out of five possible, because the diopter of her rifle fell off at one of the lines. However, Domracheva wins the sprint and pursuit race. A year later, at the same championship, Dasha becomes third in the pursuit race.

Domracheva will make her debut in the World Cup on December 1, 2006, at the 1st stage in the Swedish city of Östersund in the sprint race. There she shows the 16th result. Further, at the 2007 Junior World Championships, she finished second twice: in the pursuit and sprint.

Misunderstandings haunt Domracheva

In the 2008-2009 season, Domracheva consistently ranked in the top ten according to the results of races. At the stage in Oberhof, in the mass start, one curious incident happened to Daria. Having arrived at the 2nd firing line first, the girl shot while standing instead of shooting while lying down. These hits are not counted and she has to leave the distance. But despite this misunderstanding, at the 5th stage of the World Cup, Dasha made it to the podium for the first time in an individual race, taking 3rd place. Later, two more awards followed and the Belarusian star confidently established herself in the elite of world women's biathlon.

Here is a video where Daria Domracheva first shoots in the wrong position, and then at someone else’s target

And a year later, during the Oberhof mass start, Dasha initially leads before the third firing line, but fires the first three shots at someone else’s target. Realizing the mistake in time, the athlete continues shooting at her target, but misses again. Having received four penalties does not allow Daria to fight for victory in this race.

In the 2009-2010 season, the Belarusian biathlete will make her debut at the Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. In the 15 km individual race she wins a bronze medal for Belarus. Then, at the end of the season, Daria Domracheva was in sixth place in the overall World Cup standings.

At the 2010 world championship, held in our Khanty-Mansiysk, Dasha took 2nd place in the mass start, and in the relay race she helped her team get bronze. In the 2010-2011 World Cup, Domracheva again finished sixth.

The 2011-2012 season becomes the heyday of Daria’s sports career. The girl finds a balance between speed and shooting, wins a number of victories at the World Cup stages and firmly establishes herself in the leading three biathletes. In Ruhpolding in 2012, at the World Championships, Domracheva became world champion for the first time. She wins the 10 km pursuit race.

In the 2012-2013 cup season, Domracheva is considered the main contender for winning the Big Crystal Globe. Despite this, the biathlete’s results turn out to be feverish. Great victories are combined with outright failures. The main reason for Dasha's failures is her unstable shooting, although she still remains one of the best in speed. The World Championships in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) brings Daria the second gold in her career - this time in the mass start. In total, this season the Belarusian biathlete wins three world cup races and has made it to the podium nine times. In the overall standings, after finishing the season, Domracheva becomes second.

Olympic Sochi 2014

On February 11, 2014, Daria became an Olympic champion for the first time, competing in the ten-man pursuit race. Coming in 9th place and inferior in sprint results to Anastasia Kuzmina, Olga Vilukhina, and bronze medalist Vita Semerenko, Domracheva took the lead in the race after the second shooting. And after each firing line, she builds up her leadership. Daria misses only the last 20th shot and this does not prevent her from entering the last lap as a leader. Domracheva finishes proudly, waving the national flag of her native Belarus above her head.

This is the second time I’ve come across this trick: writing seasonal articles... =)

Judging by the volume and writing, I think the article will work =)

Also, I recently learned how people create seasonal blogs and make money from them...

Hello Vladik! Yes, it has already fired!!! +100 uniques increased per day))) I’m glad that the start of the experiment was successful. Let's see what happens next...
I also recently learned about seasonal sites. Cool feature, isn't it? You need to create a news website and get traffic from it and, of course, a pretty penny...

Well, I probably lost track of the seasonal autofill... =)

But, creating an auto-filled news or some kind of football site + trading links on it is quite possible!

I don’t know the details, I haven’t delved into it, so I’ll read the information from familiar bloggers...

Daria Vladimirovna Domracheva was born on August 3, 1986 in Minsk into a family of architects. In 1990, a 4-year-old girl and her parents moved to the Siberian city of Nyagan, the main architect of which was Daria’s mother. It is noteworthy that another famous athlete, a tennis player, was born in Nyagan and spent her early childhood.

At the age of 6, Daria Domracheva began skiing. In 1999, she became one of the first students of the biathlon school that appeared in Nyagan.

Daria Domracheva in childhood:

In 2003, she won her first medal at international competitions as a member of the Russian youth team (silver in the mixed relay at the European Olympic Youth Days).
Daria did not forget her homeland and visited Minsk every year. On one of these visits in 2004, she was offered to compete for Belarus, and not for Russia, and the 17-year-old girl agreed.
In 2007, Domracheva won gold at the Universiade in Turin (7.5 km sprint), and also became a gold medalist in two races at the European Championships (7.5 km sprint and relay).
In 2010, Daria became a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games in Vancouver in the 15 km individual race.

Daria won her first gold at the World Championships in Ruhpolding, Germany in 2012, winning the pursuit race against the host of the competition, Magdalena Neuner. At the end of the season, Domracheva took second place in the overall World Cup standings.
In 2013, she managed to repeat these successes, again becoming second in the overall World Cup standings and winning gold at the World Championships in the Czech city of Nove Mesto in the mass start.

At the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, Domracheva won 3 gold medals: in the pursuit, in the 15 km individual race and in the 12.5 km mass start, becoming one of the most successful athletes of the Olympics. Domracheva became the only athlete in the history of biathlon who managed to win three Olympic gold medals in individual races.

Olympic mass start race medalists: Tiril Eckhoff (Norway), Daria Domracheva (Belarus), (Czech Republic)

On February 17, 2014, after Daria’s third gold in Sochi, Alexander Lukashenko awarded her the title “Hero of Belarus”.

"Dear Dasha!

This is a huge success! You're just great! All of Belarus is delighted with your new victory.

Having won the title of three-time Olympic champion, you accomplished a feat.

Modern history does not know such cases. In our Fatherland, exploits are especially honored.

We sincerely congratulate you on being awarded the highest award of the Motherland - the title “Hero of Belarus”.

Happiness, health and good luck!” says the congratulatory telegram from the President of Belarus.

There are rumors that Daria Domracheva is having an affair with the most titled biathlete in the world, Norwegian Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, who divorced his wife in 2012, but Domracheva said in response to this:
“I am not a supporter of private life becoming public, but in connection with the emerging wave of all kinds of rumors, I think it is worth clarifying. Official information about my personal life will only be a message about my marriage. To anyone.
Everything else is rumors that I see no point in commenting on."

In 2010, a 50-minute film “Daria Domracheva. Representing Belarus” was shot, where the athlete talks about her life, starting from childhood.

Daria Domracheva at a training camp in Sardinia in 2011:

The life of an athlete is short. This truism seems to be well known to everyone, but they remember it only when another star announces the end of his sports career.

Even the life of Bjoerndalen is short, who performed at the highest level for 25 years, but then still gave in to the onslaught of youth. But wouldn’t you really like to see Ole Einar maintaining his usual high level, and not suffering on the track, for another year or two? After all, many fell in love with biathlon only because of the outstanding Norwegian.

There is no room for pity. Bjoerndalen retired from sports

He's not tired. He simply cannot fight to the limit. Which means it's time for new heroes.

And two months after Bjoerndalen’s departure, world biathlon suffered another irreparable loss: on June 25, the wife of the eminent Norwegian, the magnificent champion, also announced her decision to leave big biathlon. Who are you leaving us with, Dasha?

The four-time Olympic champion, two-time world champion, winner of the Big Crystal Globe, a beauty and simply “one of our own” for Russian biathlon fans will no longer compete for awards. And now all of us can only do one thing: remember her outstanding victories that Daria won not only on the track, but also in life.

Step from Russia

No matter how hard it is for fans of Russian biathlon to admit it, she won her main victory, which predetermined the fate of the future champion, in 2004, when she decided to take a risk and change her sports citizenship. Daria was born in Minsk, but took up skiing in Siberia and initially competed for Russia in biathlon. However, the national team’s coaching staff considered the athlete unpromising and wrote her off. And she, not seeing a future in Russia, responded to the offer from Belarus. If not for this step, Daria would hardly have won anything.

Swedish place of glory

Daria won her first medal at the highest international level at the 2008 World Championships in Ostersund - the same one that Russian fans still remember with nostalgia. Daria received silver as a result of the mixed relay: Lyudmila Kalinchik, Rustam Valiullin and Sergei Novikov ran in the same quartet with Domracheva. The first place in that race was taken by the German four, and the Belarusians snatched second place from the Russians, who came third. Perhaps it was then that Daria began to seriously dream of world championship gold.

Champion is not just a word

But the long-awaited victory at the World Championships did not come to Daria for a long time. And only in 2012, already one of the strongest biathletes in the world, Domracheva finally received gold. This happened at the World Championships in Ruhpolding - in the pursuit race. The sprint was won by the magnificent German Magdalena Neuner, and Domracheva came second, 15 seconds behind. But in the pursuit, the Belarusian athlete was inimitable. Despite two misses, she easily beat Neuner, who missed by more, and finally became the champion.

Amazing Olympics

In the 2013/14 Olympic season, she flew as if on wings. Of course, it was impossible to call her the undisputed favorite of the Sochi Olympics - the competition among women was high, but Daria was one of the contenders for high places. But in the end, it was she who became the main hero of the Games, winning three golds in a row. I would especially like to highlight the victory in the pursuit race: Daria started the pursuit from ninth place, more than 30 seconds from the leader, but managed to break through and finish with a huge advantage over her competitors. This race alone made her a national hero in Belarus, but Daria, having also won the individual race and the mass start, surprised the entire biathlon world.

And there will be a “Big Globe”!

Domracheva’s collection after the Sochi Olympics lacked only one award – the “Big Crystal Globe”. And Daria decided not to put the matter off, and already in the 2014/15 season she got involved in a tough fight with the Finnish Kaisa Mäkäräinen. Kaisa was in the lead almost the entire season, and Daria managed to get ahead of her competitor only after the eighth stage. But the fight for first place continued until the end of the season in Khanty-Mansiysk. The penultimate race of the World Cup was the pursuit, and Domracheva won her favorite race, showing extraordinary speed on the track. Daria's advantage over Kaisa became critical, and the World Cup became real.

A victory that no one believed in

A special highlight in Daria Domracheva’s career is her victory in the women’s relay at the Olympics in Pyeongchang. Firstly, simply because thousands of athletes around the world train for years for just one gold, and not everyone gets there, but for Daria this Olympic gold was her fourth. Secondly, because Daria won the Olympics, returning to the sport after giving birth - it’s not so easy. Thirdly, because the victory of the Belarusian women's team in the relay looked like something completely unrealistic. But the girls fought, fought, and shot accurately, and the experienced Daria, who for the first time in her life had a chance to win something in the women’s team race, did not miss it - she helped the team consolidate its success.

Family triumphs

But Daria shines not only in biathlon. As everyone well knows, her husband was the most titled biathlete in history, eight-time Olympic champion and 20-time world champion Ole Einar Bjoerndalen. Getting such an enviable groom is a big victory. Of course, there can be no question of any marriage of convenience among champions: the spouses simply adore each other and for the sake of the family they are ready to put even sports results on the back burner. And most importantly, the family of champions together won another great victory: in October 2016, the daughter of Bjoerndalen and Domracheva, Ksenia, was born.

Daria Domracheva was born in 1986 in Minsk into a family of architects. After 4 years, she and her parents left for Siberia, to the city of Nyagan, which was under construction, the main architect of which was Daria’s mother. Daria was involved in dancing and basketball, and in 1992, following her older brother, she began skiing. Spending almost all of her time in training, camps and competitions, Daria studied at school with “good” and “excellent” marks. She spent her summer holidays in Minsk.

In 1999 she started training in biathlon. She graduated from high school, where she studied in the economics and law class, and entered the 2nd year of Tyumen University, faculty of sports management.

Biathlon career

One day, for family reasons, Daria came to Minsk, where she received an offer from the head coach of the women's team to play for Belarus. Daria, who dreamed of playing for her native country, agreed and left Nyagan, starting to train with the Belarusian national team. Then, for about 6 months, I had to seek the right to compete for Belarus, and not Russia; the decisive factor was the Belarusian birth certificate. At that time, Domracheva was already a multiple champion of Russia among juniors and a prize-winner of European level competitions.

The first major international start for the Belarusian national team was the 2005 World Junior Championships, where she finished 40th in the first race (individual). The diopter fell off at one of the ranges, resulting in five out of five possible misses in the third shooting. Domracheva won the next two races - sprint and pursuit. A year later, from a similar championship, Daria took away only bronze for the pursuit race.

She made her debut in the World Cup on December 1, 2006 (season 2006/07) at the 1st stage in the Swedish Östersund in the sprint race, showing the 16th result (becoming 2nd and 5th Belarusian athletes). At the 2007 Junior World Championships, she managed to finish second twice: in the sprint and pursuit.

In the 2008/09 season, she began to regularly place in the top ten at the end of the race. At the stage in Oberhof, in the mass start race, a funny thing happened to Daria. Leading the race and arriving at the 2nd firing line first, instead of shooting prone, she shot standing (video). The hits were not counted, and she had to leave the race. Despite this incident, already at the 5th stage of the World Cup she was on the podium for the first time in an individual race - Daria took 3rd place. After this success, two more podiums followed.

A year later, also in the mass start in Oberhof, Domracheva was the leader of the race before the third shooting with a fairly large advantage. But three shots were fired at someone else's target. Realizing the mistake in time, Daria continued shooting at her target, but the 4 penalties she received did not allow her to fight for victory in the race.

This article will be of interest to everyone who loves biathlon. Dasha Domracheva is a well-known personality in this sport. How was the girl's life? What has she already achieved? All this will be discussed further.

Belarusian rocket

If you ask an ordinary sports fan which athlete you associate sports Belarus with, the answer will be unequivocal - Dasha Domracheva. The girl today personifies the entire Belarusian sport. She managed to literally become the strongest biathlete in the world in just a few years, thereby interrupting the hegemony of German athletes. How did it happen that a girl from Belarus, a country that can hardly be called a biathlon power, became the best biathlete on the planet.

First steps

In an ordinary, completely unsportsmanlike family (both parents are architects), on August 3, 1986, Dasha Domracheva, a future world biathlon star, was born in the city of Minsk. At the age of 4, Daria's parents move to the small Siberian town of Nyagan. It would seem what prerequisites for playing sports exist in such a city. It is clear that the Siberian climate initially encourages children to take up skiing. However, Daria made her first sports choice in favor of basketball. And only then, under the influence of her older brother, Daria took up cross-country skiing. And biathlon appeared in her life only in 1999.

After school, Daria entered the Faculty of Sports Management at Tyumen University. In 2003, the Domrachev family decides to return to their native Belarus, and Daria receives a diploma of higher education at the Belarusian State Economic University at the Department of Tourism Management. The topic of the thesis is “Advertising in the tourism industry.”

Professional career

The beginning of his professional biathlon career took place in the Russian national team. Already at the junior level, the athlete’s high potential was clear. But the competition that reigned in the Russian national team at that time did not allow one to hope for a place in the main roster of the adult team. And in 2004, Daria decides to continue her professional career in the Belarusian national team. The first international starts under the flag of Belarus took place in 2005. And already in 2006, at the age of twenty, Daria made her debut at the stages of the Biathlon World Cup. At the end of the season, Daria took 16th place in the overall total, which is quite a high result for a debutant in competitions of this level.

In the future, the results are increasing. Daria quite regularly gets into the top ten, it would seem that the podium is just a stone's throw away. But Daria manages to do the unthinkable at the cup stage in Oberhof: while leading the race, Daria makes a mistake with the shooting order and, instead of shooting prone, does it from a standing position. As a result, Daria is disqualified, and the possible victory floats to her rivals. This unfortunate failure did not affect the final place in the 2008-09 World Cup standings. Domracheva finished the sports year in third place. By the way, an embarrassment similar to Oberhof happened in Domracheva’s career again. Again performing in Oberhof, Daria managed to shoot at someone else's target.

The 2011-2012 season brought her her first World Championship medals. Daria won silver in the mass start and, together with others, became a bronze medalist in the relay race.

This season was spent in the struggle of two biathlon stars and Daria Domracheva. Where the German took advantage with speed, Daria responded with more accurate shooting. After the end of her career as a German biathlete, it would seem that Domracheva will have no rivals on the ski track. However, again second place in the overall World Cup standings. But real triumph awaited Daria ahead.

Dasha Domracheva is a champion. Olympic triumph

The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics finally elevated Daria Domracheva to the rank of the greatest athletes of our time. The first was earned in the 10-kilometer pursuit race. Moreover, the gap from Berger, who finished second in the Tour, was 38 seconds. Three days later, a new victory - in the 15-kilometer individual race with a one-and-a-half minute lead over her closest rival. And the third Sochi gold medal was won in the contact race. In the 12.5 km mass start. Daria again had no equal. As a result, three Olympic golds in one Olympics. There has never been a similar result in women's biathlon. Daria's successes in Sochi did not go unnoticed in the athlete's homeland. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko personally awarded the athlete the Order of “Hero of Belarus”.

Dasha Domracheva: personal life

Possessing a photogenic appearance, Daria quite often finds herself in the spotlight of journalists. At one time, the director's name appeared as a beloved man. The next wave of rumors connected Daria with the king of men's biathlon, Ole Einer Björndallen. According to Daria herself, they have only friendly relations with the Norwegian biathlon star. So at the moment, Domracheva still remains an enviable bride.

According to the doctors' decision, Daria will miss the 2015-2016 season. A great opportunity to take care of your personal life.
